New bourbon chicken and sausage penne is awesome. The spices are great and the mixture of flavours just explode in your mouth. I will definitely be having this again and again. Only thing that could make this better is adding bacon, but everything is better with bacon. Service is always good. read more

Went there a few weeks ago and they had no servers. On a Saturday. 1 Bartender who was the manager . And 2 waitresses. Guess nobody showed up for work. Sounds like a management problem. 2 hr wait. Lots of people left . So did we. Haven't been back since. read more

Placed an order to go online, stated pick up time would be by 8:15. Received a call at 7:38 stating the order was just about finished and that we could come and pick it up. Eight minutes later we pick the order up and a short drive home and the food was cold. read more

Place has gone so far downhill. Ordered tonight at 6:15. Earliest time available was 7:50. Showed up at 7:45 and waited in my car for 30 minutes until I went in a checked on my food. It had been sitting on the bar for who knows how long. Everything is cold and I didn't know until I got home but they gave me someone else's order as well as mine. Guess I will throw it in the air fryer and enjoy our soggy fries and cold burgers. We won't be making this mistake again. Chicken tenders and fries - cold and soggy Fajita roll up - cold Nachos - cold and soggy Mozz sticks - cold and greasy Place was half full and we were told they were behind because of being "swamped". read more

Salad came with wrong chicken, no dressing. Sent it back 20 min later my husbands done eating, the waiter come up and says " it a hot mess back there". I say "just cancel the order". So the manager felt a $5.00 off my husband's dinner was sufficient. Floor and bathroom door was sticky. Won't be back. read more

Service was upsetting. We ordered our drinks, when the server came back with no drinks, she asked us what we wanted for an appetizer. After ordering our appetizer, it came out quick, before our drinks. Drinks came out 5 minutes later. When we ordered, I ordered mashed potatoes for my infant along with our meals. The waitress said she would put in the mashed potatoes first. Perfect! Mashed potatoes came out shortly after. Then we waied for OVER AN HOUR to get the rest of our meals, a grilled chicken salad and a quesadilla burger. Meanwhile, a table of 4 that came in 20 minutes after us got all their food AND a table of two that came in 10 minutes after us was able to get their appetizers, meal, desert, AND bill before we got our food. I don't know if it was the waitresses fault or the kitchens fault but no apology was given. We left with our dinner, not eating it in the restaurant because our infant had done enough waiting. Very upset with our experience. read more

we ordered around 4pm, didn't get our food until about 45 minutes later. our server was constantly running around taking care of everyone else, and our food was barely warm. also the manager was hanging around the back and never bothered to check in on anyone whatsoever. read more

Ordered on line 2 full racks of ribs, two pastas and two appetizers . Waited outside for 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready, only to be told they don't have ribs and they didn't call me. Pasta was ready but would be cold by the time they made two more plates. Asked to speak with the manager and I was offered zero , not even a complimentary appetizer, good excuse or even any type of resolution for driving-waiting- now having to figure out what's for dinner again while groceries are already in the car. Went for dinner after the Trine hockey game. It was surprisingly empty. We were told we had a 20 minute wait for a table for 6. The hostess rolled her eyes & said they didn't have a table for us and that it would be a wait. The 5 person group ahead of us had been waiting for 1/2 hour for their table. There were several tables that would fit 6 people. The hostess explained that there wasn't enough servers. My husband asked if we could sit at one of 6 person tables and we could go to the bar to get our own drinks until a waitress was available and was told no. We were finally seated at a dirty table, then she came by to wipe it down then had to wait til it dried. A couple of us ordered alcoholic drinks which were made & sat to be served for about 10 minutes in which the frozen drink was half melted & the draft beer was barely cool. We could've had them sooner if we had been able to go to the bar ourselves. The food was good & our waitress was nice & good. I don't know if they need to hire more people or if they're having trouble finding people to hire. It's a small town & everything else closes really early for dinner which doesn't help when games end at 9 or after & it's hard to find a place to go with great food & atmosphere after 9pm in this town. By the way, this is 2nd time to come here, the first time we weren't even allowed in because it was 10pm, they closed at 11pm & they had people waiting to be seated and we were told they could accommodate us before closing. read more

Had the worst service I've ever had anywhere tonight. I usually am not a complainer because I am a server and I understand things happen but this was nuts. We waited 35 minutes for drinks. We ordered alcohol and waters and alcohol I understand but we didn't even get water for 35 minutes. Our food was out before any drinks or silverware was on the table. Server was not busy he only had 2 tables. It was just all around not a great experience. read more

Not happy with the New Year's Eve trip to Applebee's. Walking in we were told it would be a ten to fifteen minute wait to be seated. It took 14 minutes which was within the time frame they gaves us as we waited for the four couples ahead of us to be seated in the 12 empty clean tables or the six unclean tables. With four girls hovering around the hostess stand for ten of the 14 minutes we waited to be seated. When sat, we waited eight minutes for our waiter to greet us. We both got waters and placed our meal order at the same time and waited six minutes to get water. That was the last time we saw our waiter until we got our check twenty-six minutes later. A runner brought out our food to our table and we were never checked up on. My special order burger was made correctly and my french fries sucked. When you have gotten fresh fries at Applebee's and know how good they can be, when they deliver you something that isn't as good you are disappointed. She got some type of chicken and rice and thought it was barely warm to the touch. Something tells me our food sat on the pass or on the counter waiting for my burger. I have had mixed experiences at this location. When I expect good I get bad and when I expect bad I get average to good. Consistency from visit to visit, diner to diner, and component of a meal to component of a meal are an issue. Usually the service is pretty good but this trip was not good as the waiter visited the eight top five or six times from the time we were seated and when we got our check and he was awol at our table. I do like Applebees in general but I recommend you temper your expectations dining at this location. read more

Surprisingly great experience here! In Angola, IN for work and made a quick late night stop in on a Wednesday evening with a group of 4. Great service and all of our steaks were cooked perfectly! Very pleasantly surprised for an Applebee's right before closing but I'll take it! Got the Shrimp & Parmesan Sirloin with Broccoli and Green Beans. Good experience here! Was pretty much the only place open in the area too! read more

We recently had dinner at Applebee's in Angola Indiana. My daughter inadvertently dropped her wallet in parking lot and a kind person brought it in the restaurant after we had left. The General Manager John Potts immediately sent it via UPS to our home in Michigan with a great personally written letter. What great customer service! Although the food was great, it is that kind of leadership and and excellence in customer service that will instill a positive image of Applebee's for years in my mind. Thank you for exhibiting excellence as a leader in your restaurant. read more

the waitress was training a new person and she was just not friendly. they check our id twice for beer. we are 56 years old. they told me twice they up charge for a second side. they made me ask twice for A1 sauce. we ordered three steaks and the brought out one little cup of steak sauce read more

no flavor whats so ever like the kids burger sucked and and had no flavor. very shitty service

Our experience at this Angola Applebee's was terrible. The food was just fine, but what made the whole night bad was our waitress. Stephanie. From the moment we sat down, she was snarky and had the WORST attitude. When asked a question she would roll her eyes. I think she rolled them 6+ times just within our meal alone. She didn't know any of the menu items, she was terrible at refilling drinks. The worst part was when we decided to pay and tip on the tablet at the table. Both of our parties selected "no receipt" and she purposefully brought both over with our tip shown right on it. I know she did that on purpose because she didn't like the tip she saw. Will never go back, and I've seen other bad reviews about that specific waitress also. If you get her, get up and leave. read more

We were in town trying to find a place that was not to busy,we stoped in to this location and were told it would be a 30 minute wait by 1 of the 5 hostess that were working the front. Well, 45 minutes later we were looking straight at two open tables ( next to each other) that they said they could NOT move due to the tables being in different sections. By this point we were in to deep to leave they eventually figured it out and got us seated. We ordered our food quickly. And it took another 50 minutes to come out ( I will say they were busy so that is somewhat reasonable) however the overall experience was far from acceptable. My recommendation would be to steer clear of this location till they either higher a wait staff that is old enough to drive or assign a few more experienced personnel to oversee the place. read more

The steak I ordered was terrible. It was a sirloin and it was tough and full of gristle. I was surprised that Applebee's would have such a poor quality of meat. Super disappointed. read more

Very dissappointed with the service. Our waiter found it more important to fold napkins than refill our waters. Also the decor was questionable. I believe they may have a spider problem which would explain the extreme amount of webs. Also the decorations were slightly satanic. All in all, if you're not coming for appetizers, then don't waste your time at this questionable establishment. read more
