Everyone from the greeter to Robin who walked me to the Genius tech Ralphie to the other Genius tech Alex were superb. My PC had crashed and despite multiple calls to the Apple techs; they were unable to help me so they suggested to take to the store and I'm elated that a store has been opened in Williamsburg. Everyone was super helpful and despite having to wait for the updates; I left super satisfied and with my PC in tip top shape. I have been coming to this Apple store ever since it opened. Always had a good experience and learned something new. My last 2 issues involved my MacBook Pro. Turned out nothing was wrong with it and the geniuses explained how to use certain functions (new trackpad) and applications. Reed was my advisor and he was kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable...and didn't judge me even though I was wrong in my assumption that the computer was broken. What I learned was- take it easy on the staff because the problem may not be with them or the computer/ device. read more

Ok went into the store because I ordered the 13 for store pickup. I change my mind and I want the 13 pro. I ask for my original order to be canceled & get the pro. Sales guy said ok. I leave thinking everything is ok. I check my bill I'm being charged for two phones. The 13 and the 13 pro. This was a real hassle to correct over the phone. After several phone calls I am refunded for the 13 which I didn't buy. Then to top it all off my phone the iPhone 11 is not eligible for trade in because it was assigned to the order I canceled. So now I get no discount for my purchase. I usually have no problem at this store everyone is polite and it's an orderly place that I like. However this time I wasn't treated fairly by Apple and in the future I will not be purchasing any more iPhones. They are saying I have to pay for the incompetency of their employee. This store must've hired anyone because honestly I been having issues with a refund on a return an employee did incorrectly. Had it go back and sort things out with their manager who claimed the issue would get resolved. But the problem still stands!!! Man has Apple customer service gone downhill. You come to the store and have some young dude try to over explain to you simple details like how Apple Care works instead of listening to your issue and finding a solution. I've been using Apple products since this kid was in diapers does he think I don't know how Apple Care works? My sour experience here really left a mark on how I feel about Apple and their products. My cell phone was not working (it was not connecting to the cell service) and given there are no service ares in my neighborhood, I felt it was a device issue and not a wireless provider issue. I walked into the store yesterday (Thursday) after trying to troubleshoot the phone myself for 6 hours trying to follow the Apple.com device troubleshooting instructions. I tried all 7 steps on the website to no avail, and decided to go into the store as they have more experience. The store was not overtly busy, there was a ratio of at least 5 employees for each non-employee. I see the gal doing triage and tell her my phone is having problems connecting to the network and she tells me they cannot see walk-ins right now since the store is closing in an hour, but I can make an appointment for Tuesday (6 days). She also says there is another Apple store on 5th Avenue, I can try going there if I need immediate attention. I'm in Brooklyn, but please go to 5th Avenue for help?? I know not all employees are "trained experts" on all products, but I would have to imagine that someone might be enough of a generalist instead of idly hanging out with other coworkers too busy to even try to help a customer. There were different pods of coworkers just hanging out, chatting it up, but no one can be bothered to help at all. Even the 5th avenue store at its busiest (which i actually have been to in busy season when my office was located near central park) did not provide this kind of anti-customer response. This is my second apple product, but I had been an advocate of apple products and have purchased for my family due to the customer service based on previous experiences. After this experience, unless Apple can deliver a differentiated, innovate one-of-a-kind product, there really is no reason not to explore other devices from other brands where customer care actually means something. read more

I used to like everything Apple. The affair has ended. The staff at this store are beyond rude. When I asked about the availability of a new product I was told "How should I know, I don't make this stuff." This was not a one time experience. Honestly I understand that with covid there's a bit of a wait for things. But this store is trying way too hard to be covid conscious. If you want a simple purchase even if you know what you want there's a long wait accompanied by really unnecessary small talk. I had an appointment at the Genius Bar. Walked in, was greeted, reservation confirmed. 5 minutes later a Genius specialist sat down with me and helped me with what I needed. The entire operation took less than half an hour. The specialist was very helpful, friendly, and our conversation make the time fly by (he enlightened me about how and why he's super happy working as a Genius). Very satisfied. read more

Just left this location after trying to buy a new phone case. They seemed pretty busy, so I asked the young lady with the ombré hair (the Genius Bar check in person) for help with checking out. Never buying an Apple product again because of my experience here. I recently made the switch from PC/Android to an iPhone 6s and MacBook Pro. I also own a business in the NYC area and have been considering purchasing a number of iMacs as our office computers. I came into the Apple store today with a 3:00 appointment to get my screen repaired on my iPhone. I check in, give them my phone, and am told that it should be ready at around 4:45. No problem, I sit down at the waiting area as instructed and get some work done on my laptop. At 4:45 I approach one of the "Geniuses" and ask them for a status update on my phone. The representative fiddled with his iPad for a moment and told me that my phone wasn't ready yet. About fifteen minutes later, at 5:00, I checked in again with a different "Genius". Same story, phone's "not ready yet". Forty five minutes later, at 5:45, I open my laptop back up and decide to check my email. In my inbox is a message from Apple sent AN HOUR PRIOR stating that my iPhone was ready to be picked up. After hunting down a manager and showing him the email, he feigned an apology and retrieved my iPhone. Sure enough, there was a timestamp on the package clearly stating that the phone was finished at 4:50. I was left sitting there for an additional hour, despite my asking for a status update multiple times. Who knows how long I would have continued sitting there had I not checked my email randomly. Adding insult to injury, I still had to pay the $140 repair fee in full. No discount. For anyone looking to get their screens repaired, save yourself the money and hassle and just go to one of many unauthorized repair shops throughout the city. You'll probably pay half the price for the same job, plus you won't be treated as though you're completely disposable. As for my new office computers, I will definitely be going the Microsoft route this time around. read more

Whoa, terrible experience here. Came in with a non-working delete key on a one-year old Macbook Pro that I've barely used and that looks almost new. The big, bearded "genius" who helped me proceeded to lecture me about how long he's had his computer without any problems (10 years, which seems insane unless he's still using a powerbook), calling me brother over and over again, and after a brief period looking underneath the keys, a long rant about maybe the gunk under the keyboard was responsible. After lecturing me for like twenty minutes, he quoted me a price to fix my comp I later learned from another genius that was over a hundred dollars too expensive. I had the worst experience of my life in this store. The night before I was mugged. I was attacked by a gang and robbed of my possessions, wallet and iPhone X. I was scared and injured. I'm in my 30's but this experience scared me to my core. My father was kind enough to come help me pick up the pieces. The sales reps were kind and understanding but the manager was on some covid fueled power trip. He refused to let my father in the store because only the individual purchasing an item was allowed in. I was in tears. I needed the emotional support of my father. Eventually it started torrentially down pouring. They let my fatter in but made him stand in the corner by himself. I asked the manager kindly if he could sit six feet from me and the manager said no. I asked if my father was interested in buying an iPhone, could he then sit with me and he said yes. Before I had a chance to tell my father to say he wad interested in an iPhone the manager spoke to my father and told me that my father was not interested and had to remain in the corner. I lost it at this point and shouted to the whole store my story and how shameful it was that this manager would not let my father sit by my side. The security then forcibly removed me from the store. I had a nervous breakdown as they forced me out - this is the day after I was mugged and robbed. The security guard pushed and shoved me. I was screaming in pain and anguish all because this power crazy manager could not allow my father to sit 6 feet from me in an empty store. This manager is a terrible human with no empathy skills and should not be representing Apple. I am usually very calm and patient but he pushed me to have a dangerous mental breakdown in public. Made an appointment here to fix my iPhone. With the service I received from the Chelsea location I was not expecting much from this place and dreading to come here. However, this new Williamsburg location blew my expectations. I was late5 mins to my appointment and the person at the front was really nice accommodating. I was set up right away at the Genius Bar and everything was ready. The person I had was Tom. Tom is the best apple genius that I've ever met. Really awesome guy and super knowledgeable about the products. He help me solve my issue in minutes and was very nice. Tom alone made me change my mind about the service provided at apple. This apple store was extremely unhelpful. I was having a problem with my iPhone 7, so I went in to see if there were any Genius Bar openings. I did not make it to the Genius Bar because the man checking me in said he was a technician, and he knew that Apple would not be able to help me and that I will just have to buy a new iPhone. Upon asking to get an appointment, he was rude and insisted that it would be a waste of my time because I would just have to buy a new one. I really did not appreciate him not letting me see someone at the Genius Bar. I just wanted to see if they would be able to help out with the problem I was having. I recommend against going here and opt for going to the new Apple Store in Downtown Brooklyn instead. I went to the Apple store in Williamsburg during a weekend, late afternoon. It was not busy at all. I needed to do an iPad trade-in. The guy at the door put me "in line" and told me to wait by one of the tables. I was standing there for over 30 minutes (seriously!) and nobody cared to come and help. I asked the guy at the door again and he did nothing, he told me to keep waiting. There were a couple of employees chatting to each other, and another one watching people trying the laptops. I felt really neglected and I expressed my concerns, but again, nobody would show up. On top of it, I came back the day after and they offered a miserable $34 for a perfect iPad mini. This is an excellent store and you should all recognize commitment of these people that work hard. They're doing what they are supposed to be doing and the rich people from gentrification bring money to Brooklyn. I wrote it on Yelp. Update: I'm adding a star for the quick refund they gave me. My order was still stolen and it's not Apple's fault but this location should know better or have better security if they are going to use Postmates for same day delivery. I ordered an Ipad, Apple pencil 2, and a case online and saw the option for same delivery within 2 hour for $9. Thinking that Apple set up a safe and secure delivery service for Covid because on their site, it says no walk-ins, need appointment and encourages you to try their 2 hour "no contact delivery" so I did. It says third party courier but I HAD NO IDEA that they used Post Mates to do this! I watched my the computer and my phone at the 2 hour window and I received a text that it was "picked up", but also got a text that it was "on the way" and "delivered!" all at the same time, mind you I've been watching my phone and computer the whole time so I ran downstairs immediately to the lobby to get it and there was no one there and no delivery. We have a doorman and he also said no Post Mates arrived. I even waited down there for almost an hour but no order and no one from Post Mates came. After an hour past the 2 hour window, I knew something was up. Effing Post Mates STOLE my order! I did call this location because when I click on track shipment, a Post Mate link comes up just showing the Williamsburg store and my address but no path of the driver and no name and it was marked completed as soon as the texts came through. I think they picked it up, then Apple sent me an email that it was on the way, and then I think they marked it as delivered right away and then deleted their account! I did get to talk to someone at this location and they said they will do an investigation and refund me 5-7 days BUT had I known that Apple was using Post Mates with no extra security check? as their third party courier, I wouldn't have chose the same day delivery option as they were pushing on the site and I would have made an appointment, got in a cab and picked it up in person! I hope they do refund me as they said, but they need to rethink using Post Mates to deliver or they need to up their security. I'm sure the word is out to Post Mates drivers in how to do this scam. The worst. I fought traffic into Williamsburg to purchase an Apple tv box. There was a line around the block to get in the store. After waiting outdoors on line I was informed that I needed a reservation to go in the store. What's more, I was told there were no, zero, reservations available for the next SEVEN DAYS!! I thought the teenager at the door was joking, but no, there was an actual 7 day waiting list to enter the Apple Store and purchase one of their over priced products. Save your money friends.
