What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It was quite the night. There weren't too many vacancies near Manti during their last pageant. This was one of the few relatively close that was reasonably priced. Once here, I noticed a lot of long-term renters on site. The main door had a trespass warning up with names of people not allowed on the premises. Although my girls loved the stray cat they saw outside, I sure wasn't going to let them touch it. Thankfully we got in very late and left early. By myself, I would have been ok. With all my daughters, I was a little worried. Tough to beat the price for three queen beds in a one bedroom suite but still. I tried to downplay how bad it actually was but I'm sure they could sense it. read more

Have stayed here before and had pretty good experience. Quality of room have gone way down. Repairs that have been made are bandaid at best and sub par. Ceiling over tub area was all cracked and coming down from water damage. Repaired by spray paint. Major electrical violations that could lead to overload and fire potential. Damaged furniture and old wallpaper that's peeling off the walls. Bed was worn out. Towel was small and other amenities not available. Soap was 1" x 1/2" x 1/8" thick. So you save money on the cost of room but with all the shortcomings you would bE better off finding another place. To many corners cut to try and make a profit. Won't stay here again. Front desk clerk didn't really sspeak English. Had to pick my reservation off a sheet for her to check me in. At some point they will need to invest in the property or loose it. read more

Horrible for $77 a weeknight and lots of shady characters living there permanently, it seemed. Did not seem safe! Dont fall for it online. Room stank of cigarettes in a non smoking area, supposedly. Broken, banged up toilet seat. No towels. No tissues. Holes in window drapes. Ugly blast from the past in need of a good make over, OUT- and INSIDE!!! Yikes. Front desk 'lady' showed up after lots of ringing a bell. Hotel entrance is also a cheap, ran down, blast from the past. Sheets where clean but so thin, you could see the old mattress through them. Fan electrical exposed....not usable. Old, very loud A/C. Look on GOOGLE REVIEWS and find many more reviews like mine, there, too. Sad. Just sad. To be honest, I think a lot of the unfortunate 'unhoused' and 'drug addiction' afflicted are placed here by welfare offices....but I could be wrong and this town just has a bunch of 'strange characters' hanging out here. DO NOT GO HERE!! The place was foul. And unsafe. The room was filthy. Stains on everything, walls, floor, bed. Everything. Not to mention the whole bathroom area was flooded. It also appeared that everyone that was there, lived there, and they were not the best the town had to offer if you know what I mean. Stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. Patricia at check in was very nice however I am now fighting possible over charges. Carpets, and towels were filthy. Bed seemed clean but smelled of cheap booze and cigarettes. Heater was not turned on and took 3 hours to get the room to mid 60's. Neighbors were loud and sketchy slamming doors ever 15 minutes or so ALL night long. Only give one towl two hand towels and two wash cloths. Only 1 hand towl and wash cloth were not filthy. So happy I should never have to come back to this town. read more

No one at the front desk ever unless you call and wait for someone to show up. It's like they don't want business. Stopped up shower. Lots of flies. Buy a fly swatter. Check out is at 11 like everywhere else except no one is at the desk at 11 am. Other than that, it's your typical motel experience. read more

Keep driving. Seriously. Driving off the road dead-tired is only slightly worse. The location for a mid-Interstate stop is ideal and parking is easy but this hotel should be shut-down. A negative star would make more sense for the uncleaniness, broken or missing necessities, and overall unsavoriness. (Check out my photos; read the other reviews.) I was charged 3x the going rate due to supply and demand (an event in town sold out most hotels). Perhaps for forty dollars, I might have expected a dirty slum but even then, I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying. Keep driving. Uninhabitable and disgusting! I would give this place a zero star rating if yelp allowed. This was by far the most repulsive room I have ever seen. I cannot believe it was even offered. Fortunately we were granted a refund upon demand since there is no way in hell we could sleep there. Here's the short list of problems in our rotten Apple Tree room: Nasty smell throughout Stains everywhere across the carpet Hairs, pieces of food and debris scattered across carpet Beds smelled awful Front window wouldn't close and latch, so anyone could easily enter Toilet seat and lid had disgusting stains and toilet not cleaned Bathtub had disgusting stains Bath mat disgustingly filthy No bathroom door Bathroom faucet sprayed sideways Interior of refrigerator dirty Interior paint and wallpaper peeling Exterior of front door badly dented as if someone tried to break down the door. This hellhole should be reported to the health dept. I cannot believe they are open for business. I would rather sleep on a park bench. read more

If you're reading this, you are wiser than I was. I failed to read the reviews and simply booked the cheapest motel in town knowing that my wife and I spent years traveling in Europe staying in dingy hostels and motels. To be fair, the room wasn't dirty though it had an odor that we hoped was strong cleaning product. Our kids found it difficult to withstand. What perturbed me was that the online reservation system suggested a room at this hotel for 5 people. I inquired how a 2-bed room would sleep 5 people and received a friendly response from someone stating that it would be an additional $10 for a cot. (A bit of a sneaky upsell but not uncommon.) However, when arriving, the woman behind the check-in counter didn't acknowledge me for 3 minutes while chatting on the phone. When I asked about the cot, she stated it was $15, rebuffed my statement that I was quoted $10, belittled the staff member who quoted that, told me to "do the math" regarding 5 people in two beds, and wouldn't budge until I was about to cancel the reservation. She then agreed upon $10, delivered the cot to the room and stated I needed to pay cash. She never produced a receipt, was not available in the office, left a note on the lobby door that "receptionist will return shortly -- call xxx-xxx-xxxx for service" but was not present between 7am-8am, did not provide the promised light breakfast, and never answered any of my 4 phone calls. And the "pool" is a slab of concrete covered by fake grass. Overall, you don't even get what you pay for and the apparent "manager" is rude and sly. read more

Where to start this motel is complete garbage from the drug deals that happen in the rooms nightly with the housekeeping joining in , To the office smelling like pot the moment you walk in you are treated with the upmost disrespect. They won't notify you if they decide to switch rooms the linen was dirty , The managers /owners just walk into the rooms as they please . Apple tree inn rents out rooms while there are others in the room (I.e) had someone walk into my room while I was laying in bed . I would save your money and go else where unless you want to be kept up at night by cars coming in and out of the parking lot and drug deals happening next door or a few rooms down . I AGREE NOT EVEN WORTH THE 1STAR...HONESTLY RUN DO NOT STOP....unless you want a DISEASE...where should I start...let's see so I arrived at the motel and went to check in the lady in the front was nice for the most part...but then here comes the 1stRed flag ...when I booked my room I was asked if I wanted to pay for my room then or at the motel in person...well I chose in person, to my surprise when I get there the lady had already ran my card!! I thought why would she do that?? But anywho nevertheless I was just ready to go see my friend in town..so she gives me my key and I go off to my room. When I get there I notice that some of the doors had no smoking signs on them...and guess what so did my room!! So I go back and ask about the signs and she tells me that she didn't know i wanted a smoking room...again at the time of the booking I picked smoking room. So she tells me that I can smoke out side I tell her NO I CAN'T I DON'T DO THE COLD!! She said fine gives me an ashtray and my room key and I'm off .....FOR THE 2ND RED FLAG...I go around the corner to my "NEW ROOM" and as I pull up there are 2 scary face fully tattooed up!!! Everyone looks like they are on meth..including staffing!! I dont even get off the car that's how scary it was...I just decided to leave and go see my friend. When I get the my friends house she advised me to just go back and switch back to non smoking so that's what I did...the lady gives me the non smoking room again and I walk into a murder scene!!!!! OH LORD THIS PLACE IS STRAIGHT NIGHTMARE.... I FIND BLOOD..NOT OLD BUT FRESH BLOOD ALL OVER THE SHEETS....I WAS DONE WITH THIS SHIT HOLE I DEMANDED MY MONEY BACK!!!! and ran out the door!!!!! This place is DISGUSTING. There were several events in town so everything else was booked. No one answered at the front for over 15 minutes. I walked around the corner to see if there was any other office or staff around. The managers were in a circle in the parking lot drinking and smoking with some people. No wonder they didn't answer my 5 phone calls. When we went to the lounge to get key cards, it looked like a mild hording space. Random statues and décor and boxes and crap everywhere in this lounge. Manager had to kick the door to get it to open to our room. Stains and mildew everywhere. Filthy bed and bathroom. ONE SINGLE working lamp and bathroom light. AC unit smelled of sewage when turned on. We showered with our shoes on and slept on our own blankets. I am not super worried about germs usually but my hell this was disgusting. If there were any other hotels for less than $200 a night, we would have stayed there. Honestly, I would have spent $200 if I knew that I would get to skip this place. Location was perfect for me since there's a fresh market just right across the street and a gas station right next door. Room was clean and provides great hospitality. Hotel was very quiet 24/7 and the wifi works great! I recommend this hotel to every couple and families! And i did not regret choosing this motel at all! read more

Great for an overnight stay, rooms are nice size has a modern style TV that works. Rooms were bug free and the air blew cold. The bathroom ceiling paint was severely cracked and needs a new paint job. read more

Do NOT book this motel under any circumstance. My girlfriend and I arranged to stay here for one night, and while we didn't want luxury, we at least expected safety. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by a foul odor, which we traced to mold in the bathroom. When we went outside, a man was creepily staring my girlfriend down, and it only got more unnerving thereafter. A green sedan abruptly pulled up, and a disheveled man frantically warned us about a suspicious white van parked in front of a room that had the windows boarded up. He was difficult to understand, but urged us to avoid the van because the driver was taking little girls, and continually pointed at my girlfriend as he cautioned us. Never in all my years of traveling have I found myself in such a terrifying situation. We called the police, who seemed to hint that this wasn't the first report they had received about the motel. Never again will we return to Richfield, and we hope that nobody else falls into this motel's trap.
