    Apple Store at Columbia Mall

Who does not love Apple? For Apple lovers, this is a great sort of visit and like any other store, it has lots of things to purchase and plenty of to help you. Karen, at the pick up order section was very helpful, professional & attentive. I love Apple and though its products tend to be expecting, it's well worth the purchase. I believe it's a great value & if taken good care, it will last a long time.

Testing out the new Apple Vision Pro y'all!

Today I tested the Apple Vision Pro while waiting for phone assistance. I'm not sure if I'm willing to drop $3,500 for it, but I understand the hype.

I had to replair my Macbook and was able to find an appointment online a few hours later the same day. I let someone know that we were here for an appointment and he took us straight to the repair person. Unfortunately it turned out my warranty expired but she said if you call Apple services they might be kind enough to cover the charges! That advice saved us over $200 in repair cost. We were able to get the repair covered despite the expired warranty, came back the next day and then the laptop was sent in for repair. Honestly really great service. Most places would have probably just said it would cost $200 but they were nice enough to advise us on how we might be able to circumvent the cost. Also they were all so straight to the point. Come in for the repair, get assigned a Genius Bar service staff, and get straight to work. No issues whatsoever.

Although it was late in the day, Craig said to bring it over and he'd take a look. I walked in; he dropped what he was doing and opened up my computer. In 10 minutes or less, I was back in business--both problems fixed. It was clear he knew what he was doing and did it extremely well! If you need tech repair and live anywhere near Columbia, MD, call the Computer Shop. You won't regret it! Quality service in every way, from his professional demeanor and kindness to the quality of his work! Thank you, Computer Shop!

The Good: I came by because my computer and my brother's computer weren't working. The employee quickly diagnosed the problems, walked me through his thought process, and had me out and on my way within the 1/2 hour. I left feeling valued and empowered with knowledge. The Ugly: This shop advertises cellphone screen repair. Usually I do this myself; however, one of my tools had broken and I didn't want to wait for the replacement to come in the mail. AVOID PHONE REPAIR. I dropped my iPhone off around noon. I was informed that they would contact me when the crack in my screen was fixed. I know that a screen replacement isn't a time intensive task; so, when I hadn't heard anything after a few hours, I thought I'd call to see where my item was in the queue. As it turns out, the phone had already been examined. They did not have the proper tools to fully replace the screen and I was informed I could pick up the phone. This should have been communicated to me sooner. When I went to pick up the phone I found that in the process of examining it, they had broken the home button. After sticking around to inquire about this, I was told they could not fix this. In addition, they misplaced one of the screws to open the phone. It's not a huge deal, but it's a slight discoloration and it will be noticeable when I bring it in to the Apple store for an actual repair. This error has resulted in extreme inconvenience and increased cost, as the price for a screen and home button replacement is significantly more expensive now that I have to take it to the Apple store. The only saving grace is that I wasn't charged for this ordeal. The employees definitely know what they're talking about when it comes to computer hardware. Don't come here for cellphones. There was no remedy offered for the mistake made. I understand that mistakes happen when it comes to making repairs. A hand slips, a screw gets lost--okay. An apology and some kind of remedy go a long way to ensuring that a customer doesn't feel taken advantage of.

After searching around in the back, he brought it up and said they found some other damage to the mother board, so they didn't do anything, billed me $65. The $65 is fine if they had done anything, but they didn't. No charge for any parts, so that was all a lie. $65 is about a half an hours work - it took 4 weeks! As a footnote, I took it to the Geek squad, they replaced the power jack and everything was fine.
