This Apple store offers the worst customer service and retail experience I've ever had. I have repeatedly gone there because of issues I had with my MacBook Pro, iPads, and phones, and each encounter with an employee was extremely disappointing and quite frankly very rude. As much as I like Apple products, their horrendous customer service is the soul reason why I am purchasing a PC as my next computer. Good luck making an apple support claim here if your issue doesn't fall under their "tests" because they will refuse to even look into the problem. read more

The manager at this location that I have been dealing with lacks empathy or care and could not give a sh*t about my concern. I called 3 times asking for help with a fraudulent purchase made with my credit card on Apple.com and picked up at this location. Even though the store did not follow procedure to verify that the purchase was made by the credit card holder...he did not guide me or direct me on how they could help. I went in store for a promotion two weeks ago that was offering trade ins for iphone 11 for more than the usual amount (the deal was until June 3rd). When I came into the store on June 2nd, I told the gentleman who was helping me that I came for the promotion. As he was checking out my new phone, he asked if I already backed up my old phone, to which I said no. He replied "no problem" and said that they have a said I had 14 days to bring my old phone in for the refund of the promotional trade-in value. Fast forward 2 weeks, I came to Apple to trade in my old phone and the gentleman serving me (a different guy from 2 weeks ago) said that the trade in value was only $240, instead of the $290 I was expecting. I explained to him that I bought my new phone during the promotional term and was told I had 14 days to bring it back. He went to inquire with his manager and came back saying nothing could be done. I asked to speak with the manager myself. I don't know this manager's name because apparently Apple employees dont wear name tags and he didn't want to give me his name. But, this man was SO rude to me. He basically told me that I was lying and that the gentleman who sold me the phone did not say I would get the promotional trade-in price. He said that I would have had to have traded in the phone before June 3rd, which I was not told. He specifically told me I had 14 days to come back. The manager told me that it was impossible to refund me the money even though I was told I would be getting $50 more. I explained to the manager that I did not need a new phone, my old one was perfectly fine, I only came in because of this promotion. He said in a very snarky way "Well, you can return your new phone and we'll give you your old one back". He said this after they broke my old screen protector and after I had cleared everything off my phone. I told him this was unbelievable and asked to speak with someone higher and he said there is no one higher. This manager was so rude to me that I started to cry, he rolled his eyes and told the young gentleman who was helping us to deal with this and walked away. I could not believe it. This security was very rude as I walked over to ask for assistance when there was 15 minutes left for closing. This security said we are closed go home nobody is going to help you. lucky for me that a store associate spotted me on time and helped me. I've been in this store a few times and sometimes get staff who are knowledgeable and sometimes staff who have no idea what's going on - hence the 3 stars. For example - one time I came in for a Genius Bar appointment and another staff member came to talk to us while we were waited. That staff member just came to tell us some tips about using our iPhone camera to take photos and educated us about the classes that they held. So 5 stars for that. But during my last visit last week, I came in to ask about the new Apple Watch as I was thinking of purchasing it. The staff member could not answer one question that I had. Furthermore he told me I would have to research the answers myself like uhhh why else would I come to the Apple store if I could just "research" the answers by myself online. Also he was sucking on a sweet which was also very weird. He also told me that if I buy any of the new iPhones then he recommends that I must buy more insurance on it as the glass can crack. So I said oh isn't this glass supposed to be the strongest yet? And he says yes but buy the extra warranty. Just overall weird!!! I've bought many Apple products from this store and have had a few battery repairs done here too. Most recently, my 2015 MacBook Pro was swelling due to a battery issue. I brought it in and had it replaced and not only is the new battery working great but all of the imbalance that was in the case is gone and my system is really like it's brand new again. Contrary to the reviews here, I had a great experience at this store. I went to buy an iPad and the store was jammed. Many people there just hang out and don't buy anything, so I can understand the constant irritation of staff who are trying to figure out the real customers from the fake annoying crowd. The customer service person who helped me was busy with another guy who was wasting his time and wouldn't let go although he didn't end up buying anything. Even after this distraction I got great service. He explained all features of the iPad that I needed and got me out of there in less than 10 mins. Definitely cannot be an easy job working at these stores. Maybe have the sales side separated out from the demo side so that the customers who walk in there to waste everybody else's time can just be on the demo side and continue to play games or whatever on the iPads while the people who are there to actually buy stuff can be serviced better. read more

I bought a new apple I phone 8 and noticed a scratch on the screen when I opened it up. When I went to this store "the most senior technician guy there" told me that nothing could be done and said this would never happen- essentially calling me a liar. I told him I recognized he was greeting people that day but I would like to speak to the manager. He was a total douche and I have spoken to other people who have shopped there and coincidentally he has given them a hard time too- like he's bitter at life or something- ANYWAYS.... The manager said that yes, I had a one year warranty on the screen and they could fix it. They gave me a loaner phone in the mean time because they had to send my phone away (apparently). The girl that set me up with the loaner also said that it wasn't a problem- and that I had a warranty. A week later I get a phone call (which sounds like the door greeter) telling me it can't be fixed and it's $219- but apparently that offer expired. I called apple head office and they say it should have been fixed and I should not have been denied. They tried calling the store to tell them to fix it and after they didn't answer the head office employee said they were just going to send me a NEW PHONE so I didn't have to deal with anymore BS. I will never go to this store again and I'm actually creeped out how this transpired. The apple head office employee thinks the bitter employee had some shady business in this. It's very seldom I write reviews but this incident made my blood boil. Last week, I dropped off my Apple Watch because it had broken. The Apple Personnel at the Genius Bar told me that the cost to repair would be between $99 to $299. I immediately told him that if the cost is more than $99 than I rather get my watch back as is. He said that a technician will contact me with a quote and if I didn't agree the watch will be return to me. Today, the Apple Store contacted me and told me that my watch was ready for pick up and to bring ID the cost is $299. So, I went to the Apple Store in person and was told to pay $299. I complaint to the manager, who was rude, unpleasant,and of course said that wasn't true. That I had signed off agreeing to pay $299. Basically, calling me a liar and defending his subordinate. I asked about getting back my damage watch since they were selling me a replacement. The manager said no that I cannot get it back. Then, I asked to speak to the Apple Attendant who misinformed me. Apple doesn't deserve any star for this review. I went to this store 3 times to get my IPhone XS Max fixed. First day they reset the phone and asked me to give it a try. i went their after 2 weeks because the problem didn't resolved. This time they did the analysis and said nothing is wrong with my phone even though it was showing on their screen that there is an issue with it. The guy called the store Manager Chris but it didn't help at all. He keep insisting that there is no issue with phone. I have visited this Burlington store twice, wanting to buy an IPad and neither time was anyone available to help me, unless I wanted to wait---and wait----and wait-----and wait. Yes, I realize that sometimes you have to wait to get served, but when I'm preparing to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars, I don't want to be told wait at table 1 or 2 or 3 (where there are no seats and certainly no-one came to help). For the second (and last time) I gave up without spending anything. For those not familiar with the store, there were no notices there that I could see which told you to speak to someone who may be (or may not be) near the front of the store, to put down your name. I find it easier to get a doctor's appointment than the get service at Apple. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the store looks clean. read more

Went in to have battery replaced on my phone, was happy when they told me the service was free. 2 hours later they handed back a broken phone to me, telling me the battery has been replaced. They told me that I singed a waiver to not hold them responsible if something breaks during the repair process. So I ended up paying over $200 end the end of the day. Horrible place. I went in there because my iPod touch wouldn't turn on..I wasn't sure if it was the USB, or if it was the battery..or what. So, I go into the store, it's crazy busy there, I am basically lost, don't know where to go, nobody has greeted me, because they're all walking around doing nothing and talking to each other. I finally asked someone if they could help me because I have a problem with my iPod, they told me to go to the Genius Bar, so when I got there..again I wasn't sure where to go, there were a bunch of people just standing around, not even in a line..so I just stood there until someone came up to me and asked if I needed help and said yes. Finally they told me to sit at one of the tables, where 3 other people were sitting..and someone would be with me in a few minutes. After 20 mins. someone came to our table but helped someone else, not me. Another 20 mins and someone finally came to me. I told them what problems I'v been having, my iPod wouldn't turn on, they brought it over to a usb docking station or whatever it was called, and tried plugging it in..for literally 5 seconds! after that they told me it was dead. What! you can't just plug something in for 5 seconds and tell me it's dead just from that? If it had very little battery life left, it needed to be plugged in for at least 30 mins to get it charged up again. So then we went back to our table and he went to get a laptop that says sometimes helps fix problems with iPods etc. so he connected it and said it wouldn't turn on, so it's def. dead...and that's it! so the whole process took less than 20 seconds. hmm.... After that he said I could get it fixed for over $200 I believe it was, or buy a new one with 10% off or they could recycle mine... This is not what I expected at all. my iPod wasn't even that old just under a year and he said my warranty expired...unbelievable. I left the store very disappointed..all he did was plug it in for 10 seconds at a docking station and 10 seconds on his laptop..that is NOT how you fix something.. Overall very disappointed with this store. Will not go back there again. Customer service is horrible,in MY opinion! It's just a waste of time, I wasted over an hour there and left with nothing. What an awesome shopping experience! The Apple Store in Mapleview Center is just and amazing store. When we bought our IMacs, MacBooks,IPads, IPods and other Apple devices the staff here are extremly, extremly helpful and friendly. When ever you need help they are always there with exponential amount of knowledge about the prooducts. The Staff here are extremely personal and defiantly put you (the costumer) first. When we had preordered and Ipad we were talking with one of the employees we started talking about setting the emails to a different account so we could surprise our mom with no evidence of purchase. Two weeks later we brought the Ipad in to the store. The same gentlemen who helped us with the purchase came up to my father and started asking him... "So, how did everything work out with the emails to a different account and was the shipping okay?" The same man asked my mother... "How do you like your IPad? Where you surprised to get it?" So yeah they are very personal. Another great feature Apple has (for $99) is the One-To-One specialist leasons. The service is unlimited 1 hr sessions for 1 year. This is great, what it is, is an appointment where a specialist in a certain Apple field helps you and teaches you in a One-To-One fashion. For example. My Brother gets a session a week to perfect his skills with Final Cut Movie Editing Softwaer with a trained professional in Final Cut. All the teachers are trained in California and are extremely knowledgeable. The store itself is absulotly increadable. Very modern, Clean and so,so,so professional. This is truly the best store in Mapleview Mall. Defiantly visit the apple store. I will defiantly be back to this fine retailer. read more

Horrible customer service. Drove an hour to get to this store for an appointment to fix my iPhone camera on a phone that was 3 mths old. They told me to come back in 3 days, on the day of pickup I advised them that my spouse (the order was under his name) was not able to drive an hour to get there and i will go in his place, they assured me it was no problem if i provided ID and they will note it. When I arrive, they refuse to let me pick up the phone and said they made a mistake in saying that I can, completely wasted my time, was rude and unwavering and tried to just dismiss me and tell me to come back, provided no reason why i was told completely different info over the phone or alternate solutions. I had to be the one to find alternate solutions. The managers were just zombie like and dismissive and couldn't care less I was given different info over the phone or that I've wasted time travelling there. I have tried to reason with the store staff here on numerous occasions. Much easier to go to Toronto or to Buffalo. I was not impressed the last time that I called the apple help line that I paid a lot of extra money to get 3 years of support. There was no one in the entire help area that knew how to tie the computer, phone and tablet together when working with pictures. For a company that is the 2nd most valuable company in the world they need to get some of their own products in there help area employees. Love the product but your support needs work. read more

Let me begin by saying I've met some GREAT people here- knowledgeable and respectful. However- after this last genius bar appt- I was treated so disrespectfully by the clerk that I may never return to this location. All 3 genius bar people were rude, dismissive and totally disrespectful. They say the staff reflect the manager in charge- if they are good staff- you have a good mgr. So one begins to wonder how a mgr would allow such petulant and downright rude people to work here. The clerk actually left in the middle of our appt- for his lunch?!! The Apple guy on the phone who was great- who was helping us- said in disbelief- he actually left in the middle of your appt?!! Then luckily one of the smart and cool guys who happened to walk by and overhear- I needed to borrow a phone charger- due to the long apple care call- he found the right one for me- while the 2nd genius bar guy - looked at me like I had 3 heads and was trying to say they didn't have any cause it wasn't an iphone. The young man instead- found it right away-... Then I had to borrow their desk laptop- to log in - and the girl who was an Amy Winehouse lookalike just stared at me and said why? No poise or grace- just this vapid question- looking irritated at me, like I was borrowing it in order to scroll video games or something... Then I see the guy came back from his lunch and instead of helping us wrap up our issue- was on the other side of the store- helping other people. THEN the clerks- sent me on a wild goose chase to another store- saying they couldn't re-install the operating system. I found a 3rd store that said -sure no problem. So they actually LIED to me. Or worse- if you don't know the answer just say you don't know. Don't mislead someone. Such a trying, nerve-wracking, disrespectful experience at a time when you really need help. If you aren't into buying the most up to date gadgets- alot of them treat you like you are an out-to-lunch loser. I've been using mac products for over 12 years and I don't need some punk- treating me like a dinosaur because I use my computer like a tool that works for me- for emails and letters- I don't need to upgrade all the time...
