Our Sales Rep., Tyler, answered all of our questions regarding our Ipad purchases. His patience with us made our purchase and set up a very easy task. Without his assistance, we would have been lost. The cashiers are so rude. I complained about paying 30 cents for a paper bag that should be included in the cost of goods sold, and the cashier tried to convince me that paying 30 cents was going to save the environment. Since when did cashiers become experts in environmentalism? If we want to save the planet then tell third world countries with billions of citizens to stop polluting and not charge me a tax. Sad, staff are Brainwashed into thinking 30 cents bag tax will actually make the world a better place. That 30 cents is going to corporate profits. read more

This place is a revolving door of employees where most people who work for them quit after a few months and move away because the whole business is built on trying to get employees to force a needlessly expensive and terrible product service plan for every product in the store. There are good deals on various things throughout the year though so if you're looking for one of those deals you should bite the bullet and go in and deal with the new staff trying to sell you something they don't want to sell until you can turn them down and get out of there with your 50 inch television for $399.99. The prices aren't that good on much more than their sale items or overstock items that are being replaced that they need to get rid of to bring in new product. read more

Review of my experience buying a bed - Hamilton Queen Espresso bed - from their website in the marketplace area (Canada). First the bed - just bad. Poorly made, horribly machined screws and screw holes and very weak metal posts and legs. The screws are not straight, and on top of that, the screw holes for assembly are not true, so the screws will only go part way in the hole before it jams up. had to buy new screws to fix that. Got the bed assembled in my sons room, and within 4 weeks the bed broke. Just like something out of a cartoon, the legs, centre support bar and headboard all broke, and the mattress fell to the floor. The return - long and short of it is that I asked for a refund, was told that yes I would have my money refunded within 3-5 days for the broken-bad quality bed. Three weeks later I am being bounced around by Best Buy multiple customer service contact points (email, phone, store) and none of them had the same story. No refund in the end, just lies and nobody caring at all. The moral Be careful about buying from Best Buy website, particularly the marketplace area, and be VERY careful about trusting what anyone says to you. From my experience, you will not be able to get refunds for issues through their online shopping and you will not be able to talk to anyone who can actually do anything. You have been warned. read more

If i could give less than 1 star i would. My son sent in a computer to get fixed under warranty (for the 3 time). We were told it would be 3 weeks. 3 weeks later we get a call from a woman in Toronto who opened a package from Purolator and was surprised to find it was my son's computer. It was sent to her in error. We are very pleased she didn't just keep the computer for herself. She ended up returning the computer to her local Best Buy. When we didn't hear from Best Buy after a few days i called to check the status. After talking to 4 people I was told they would Purolator it out to me. After they double checked my address I was hopeful we would receive the computer in a day or so. 3 days later Best Buy in Burlington called to say we could come by and pick it up. When we told them it was supposed to be sent by courier they apologized and again told us they could do that if we wanted it. We declined and ended up picking it up at the store. Who knows how long it would have been and where it would have been sent to if we didn't. read more

Went in looking for headphones, nothing special, just some cheap work out ones. The place looks really nice on the inside. There were tons of people working that were willing to help. I found a good set of headphones for $20 that were just like I wanted, though they had a smaller selection then I would have expected. All in all a successful trip. read more

I normally like browsing through Best Buy -- but -- when I actually went in and needed something it was like pulling teeth trying to find a sales person to help me. It wasn't a busy day either. I am a sales person, and, am a bit 'put off' by this experience. There's tons of competition Best Buy. Take note. I may go elsewhere next time. read more

I had to print out paperwork that I needed the next morning and ran out of ink for the Brother printer MFC-J475DW (another worthless product pawned off from Best Buy that they insisted was a great product on sale) not!. Purchased the ink April 27, 2020 minutes before closing and during COVID of course. Waiting outside of the Best Buy when I told the guy at the entrance what I needed he's looking at me like I'm some alien when I told him I needed colour ink cartridges for Brother printer LC101 or L103. Radio someone inside with attitude do we even carry this. Inside the store now to pay the guy held onto the ink cartridges and I could not see them at a distance. There were 3 colours (LC1013PKS) product code #10406901, also asked me if I wanted black, I said no. I got into my car and realized they sold me expired ink. Store now closed and I said not going back! I don't use the printer often and on just 2 uses and less then 10 sheets of print out it was showing me the ink is low. Burned again by Best Buy, now unable to print anything. You see ink in the cartridge when you look at it is full. Spent $44.06 for what. Not only did I lose money but they also are contributing to the pollution of our environment by selling expired ink, the cartridge is full and now going out for disposable. Plus shows you how low the character of these people are just to get a sale or move dead products. I said I would never purchase any electronics from best buy before, now it's absolutely NOTHING AGAIN! read more

1. First visit there was earlier in December for a tv. My father and sister had arrived before I did. When i got there I arrived to the sale associate attempting to up-sell my dad a picture calibration for 300$. I intervened and told him it was quite alright and i was fully capable of doing it myself. He brushed me off turning his body away from me toward my dad and sarcastically told him that he was professionally trained to do so it would be much more beneficial to have it done through him. I then explained to my dad the process and what would be turn as well as directed his attention to the exampled tvs directly behind him. Asking which he liked better, he had selected the none calibrated. I then looked at the associate and informed i had a better tv deal via Kijiji (to avoid further confrontation) he then attempted to offer the calibration again for 150$. (My father is fresh off the boat portuguese). 2. I went purchase a boxing day sale I had been emailed about for a camera. Long story short I was tossed around to 4 different floor staff then told the camera was out of stock. When i had asked if there were any stores with the camera bundle left... i was told no immediately and when i asked them to check they had replied they had already checked earlier that day. I was then sent to the customer service desk (to check if any other stores had the product). After speaking with the girl behind the counter (and telling her i was aware her store was out of stock) she looked up HER store repeating that they were out of stock. Then i requested to find the nearest location with the product in stock. Her auto response was to dismiss me stating that they were sold out. I persisted and the nearest was in ottawa. I then asked if there were a way to have it shipped here and I'd incur the costs. Her auto response was that's not possible, I said i fail to see how its not possible ill pay for it here and then have it shipped by them and pay for that amount as well. She then said id have to have a special approval from the manager, I said ok please ask ill even pick up myself if need be. 15 mins later she comes back and tells me its not possible, but they did re-look at the online and stock and they saw 70 in stock but unavailable and that i should keep checking the net. 3. After a long hour and half of inquiries and waiting to be attended i ended up saying "eff that deal" and decided among a better camera for some more money being assisted by "their best" camera associate. When I arrived home i then realized there was no memory card included. I attempted to call the location for over an hour with zero response from any human being. 4. After all that calling time, my dads called me and informed she was headed to the winston park location in east oakville, after her errands. I had attempted to call them once I had heard of her travel there. This time they answered said "hello best buy please hold" and then left me on hold for another 45 mins. She told me to just hang up and that she'd inquire once she had arrived. read more
