A few of the associates took the box home because it was such good high quality. I myself took about 10 boxes home to give to a school for arts and craft storage. Customer service and ordering it was the easiest. Offered great customer service. Easy to order, and the associate from Apple Spice junction was able to deliver 165 sandwiches in an compact car! Wow! And she helped set all the sandwiches up for my meeting. I'm already using them for another meeting next Tuesday. Along with a separate order for some associates that have been craving their sandwiches. It was a true hit!!! PARKING: It's tough during lunch as it's has a small portion of the lot, but park on the street if you want to avoid the congestion. FOOD: -BLT: I've never seen so much bacon in one sandwich. Despite this place only open for a small amount of time, the sandwiches are fresh and absolutely amazing. My favorite is the egg salad sandwich. Yet, I have also tried the vegetarian sandwich as well. The great thing is that when you order the executive lunch, you automatically get choices for additional sides like chips and a cookie. This was my first time to try this place. I looked up local food in the area and came across this place on Yelp. I didn't know what to expect. The menu, from what I looked through, consisted mostly of sandwiches, salads, and soup. For the price, I though it was a bit pricy. I still wanted to try it out, just for the heck of it. I ordered a lunch box - Cashew nut chicken sandwich, executive combo. Also - Walnut and apple salad w/poppy seed dressing. The sandwich combo came in brown box and consisted of the wrapped sandwich, small bag of lays potato chips, a slice of dill pickle, fresh veggies w/dip, pasta salad (you could choose), cheesecake, after dinner mint and plastic utensils w/packets of mayo and 2 kinds of mustard. I have to say, my favorite part of this combo was the veggie dip and cheesecake. The veggie dip was so good that I wanted more. The cheesecake was a tiny slice, but after all that food (and I only ate half the sandwich because it was a good size), I was pretty stuffed already. The bread used for the sandwich was so fresh and so fluffy and airy. The sandwich reminded me of a chicken salad sandwich (w/celery, onions, mayo), with toasted salty cashews on top. Tasty and new, but really good. Interesting combo which I enjoyed alot. The salad had greens topped with hugs apple slices, walnuts, cranberries, and lots of shredded cheese. Very fresh, but in my opinion not worth the price. I'm very impressed with how fresh everything was. I'll admit, at first glance of the menu (w/out pictures), I was a little intimidated by the prices. But now after seeing what you get for what you pay, it's totally worth it. You get a lot of food for your buck, with the boxed lunches. One "lunch box" sandwich special, will last you as two meals. I was standing there for quite a while, before being helped. The younger guy and the customer were having a conversation, having nothing to do with an order or even the restaurant, just casual talk and proceeded to laugh and talk. Anyway, when they finally parted, the younger guy took his time and came to the counter but still didn't make eye contact or speak to me to say "hello" or even "Sorry for the wait, I'll be with you shortly". I got nothing for a few more minutes. Honestly, if I hadn't ordered ahead of time and wasn't looking forward to trying what I ordered, I would've told that younger guy to CANCEL. It feels horrible to have to wait like that, knowing I should've been helped immediately. That sucked! I'm a fan of the food, but not the service. This has been my go to place for lunch for awhile but the reason I am giving them only 4 stars is because the last few times I have ordered I have asked for extra sprouts. I like sprouts and it is rare for any restaurant to have them these days but if what I got was extra then a regular portion of sprouts would be minuscule. Lately, I've noticed a new cashier, short brunette hair glasses, and she doesn't know what you offer. 2 times, today being the second, I've come in and ordered the BLT wanting a side salad for my side dish and she has replied that you don't offer it. Luckily, it was another lady in front who interjected and said "we do" and showed her where it was on register. Today I come in wanting a BLT w/side salad and with an unflattering tone said "we can't do that". I ask her does she remember us going over this the first time she says "no we don't offer that here". There was another lady there who was on the phone and I proceeded to wait until she got off the phone to ask her. When she sees me about to take it a step farther by asking someone else ONLY THEN she says "I guess we can do that." She was trying to get me to pay an extra 6.99 for a side salad. I wonder how many who have gone through this who did not ask any further questions to someone different has this happened to. The lady gets off the phone and I ask her she states "yes, you can get a salad as your side." I order an executive box with 3 cookies. As always, they forget to give me my cookies. I tell the cashier w/glasses they forgot to put cookies in. Do you know this lady has the audacity to say "let me check your bag" after she seen me checking bag as if I was lying trying to get free cookies. She says after throughly searching "you did not get 3 from here" pointing to basket. I say no. She says " you can get three". She didn't say thank you after handing me my receipt, no greeting just NOTHING! She needs to learn the menu and improve her customer service immensely. They were advertising door to door at our office building. The guy showed up with high quality detailed brochure and free baked cookies. The cookies were yummy, so I decided to order for delivery at one of the next company meetings. Menu: sandwich, salad, and/or soup. They do have catering with a lot more options for 15 people min. Delivery is for 5 or more. You get your own little boxed lunch or a plastic container, depending on your order. The box is set up and packed like a school lunch. They have different options: Deluxe Box Lunch or Executive Box Lunch for $2.25 more. The Executive box comes with two more items then the other, a small cheesecake and a Ziplock baggy of fresh cut veggies with a dip. The food was delicious and everything was very fresh. The portions were perfect. The last thing I had was a Seafood & Avocado salad; it came with two large fresh slices of breads (wheat and white) and two things of butter one had sugar & cinnamon. Loved it! I haven't been to the actual restaurant yet but we've ordered a few times since. Not only do they always get the orders right but they're on time. I've had their chili, which I think is rather tasty. They also have a mean clam chowder. Their salads and soups usually come with bread. It's freshly made which makes it extra delicous. We've had Panera cater and it's the same as going in to the restaurant to eat. At Apple Spice Junction I feel like a kid again with all the little treats they stuff into the brown cardboard box. First off, they have awesome curry chicken sandwiches. The best I've had. The sourdough bread has a nice consistency and they even cut off a part of the crust. The box always comes with a pickle, a chocolate chip cookie, a mint, and a bag of chips. Sweeeeet. I've also tried their avocado turkey sandwich. They skimp on the avocado but the swiss cheese they use is so flavorful I didn't mind. I'd come here everyday for lunch if I could it's so good. Cons - They tend to run out of sourdough bread and then your only option is a wheat variety (which I don't care for). They put celery in the tuna salad which results in a less than perfect texture. The only flavor chips are plain lays.....would BBQ be too much to ask for? Sandwich meats are sliced too thick for my taste, prefer thinner or shaved especially when it comes to Roast Beef or Ham. I ordered chicken noodle soup with a bread bowl for about $6, and their turkey sandwich lunch special for $8. The online ordering was really simple and quick. The Charlie's Dream (Tuna Salad) sandwich has to be my favorite. The sandwich was made with sourdough bread that is fresh and just melts in your mouth. Along with lettuce and swiss cheese, and of course tuna. Amazing. I bought the Executive Box Lunch. For two more bucks it is worth it, also I didn't eat all day so I was starving. The Executive lunch came with; pasta salad, a bag of veggies, potato chips, cheesecake, and a pickle. Well worth the 200 pennies. Everything came out to around 10 bucks. Awesome. The wait has always been very quick for me, never has been more than 5 minutes. Even at 12-12:30 the lunch rush comes in and is out the door. They help you out very quick. They are ALWAYS on time if not early, my orders have always been accurate, and the food is really good! The bread is fresh, and my favorite box lunch is the cashew chicken. YUMMY! The customer service is exellent, from the person who takes my order on the phone, to the delivery driver, to the person (usually Andrew) who calls later that day to make sure everything was OK with my order. One time I placed an order with another local catering company and they completely forgot my order - I called Andrew at Apple Spice and they came through for me with a last minute lunch delivery! If I had to guess, it would say it's because I don't know how to budget properly. This comes with a cookie, and will set you back almost $11. Toward the end, I always have the same feeling: "I'm still kinda hungry." Cute little mom and pop sandwich shop. I was in town visiting my company's Torrance office and my co-worker was saying this was one of the office's favorite. I think they also cater and have done our company events. Anyways I decided on the office favorite sandwich and got a cup of clam chowder soup with a soda. The sandwich had roast beef, ham, turkey and cheese. Really good combo. It's served on like 13 grain bread but also sliced sandwich bread, not your usual roll type of bread.
