I'm pretty deep in the Apple ecosystem at this point, so when it was time to upgrade my iPad and pick up a new Apple Watch for my wife, I headed to the NorthPark store like I always do. As usual, the customer service on the floor was great. The person helping us was friendly, knowledgeable, and actually made the whole process easy -- even if they were a little pushy about adding on an Apple Pencil. I get it, but that's definitely an accessory I'll pick up on my own terms. Where the experience dipped a bit was behind the scenes. The support team in the back felt disconnected from what was happening out front. They kept bringing out items too quickly, realizing the mistake, and then having to come back with the correct thing. It didn't ruin anything, but it did make the whole process feel less smooth than it should. Inventory was also pretty limited, which didn't help. Even with the place absolutely slammed, I never felt rushed or ignored, and the people on the floor were doing their best. Overall, it's still a fine Apple Store experience -- just held back a little by the internal hand-offs and not quite what you'd expect in a location for where it's at. read more

I've been a customer of Apple products for decades so they have me captured. I see that I have not updated my review for many years, so it is time. The wife and I went to the Apple canter at North Park to get the batteries replaced in our iPhones. While we were there, the kid wanted a pencil to use with her iPad. I was delighted to find someone to help us. We got the pencil, but he sold us an additional adapter that was already included with the pencil. He should have known his own product. So now I have to return the extra adapter. We had a 3pm appointment for battery replacement. The representative started doing the diagnostics but then told us the battery could not be replaced that day, I guess due to time restrictions, so we would have to come back another day. Why do they take 3pm appointments for battery replacement if they can't do it the same day? So basically the only reason we went to North Park was to get new batteries and that did not get done. I was scheduled there ( Best Buy location) instead of the mall location as discussed on the phone with Apple staff to have my iPad check for charging issue . This is the worst freaking store ever. I'm never coming back here. I came here 2 months ago with my new iPhone issue not connecting to CarPlay. They messed up my camera in process of fixing the camera. They asked me to come back again to the store, I went back, gave my phone back and they took one week to repair it and guess what, they replaced the wrong parts. I was so frustrated. The manager Carlos is such a chill guy. He didn't take any responsibility. He avoided the problem overall. He had no idea what was going on. I was absolutely avoid this place. It was ok. Walked in to purchase a new iPad and was told to go over by a particular associate while he helped another customer. After waiting about 20 minutes, the associate was still helping the other customer, so I had to request that someone else help me. Then finally someone else helped me, although I think he upsold me on some features I didn't need looking back. Then they had an associate come over to help me transfer data from my old iPad to my new one, but it was a failure because they said they thought the network or server was down. They said this was a rare occurrence, but no one could really figure out what was really going on. Felt like they overscheduled new iPhone & watch pickups. Sept 20th I arrived 5 minutes early for my new iPhone 17 Pro Max and Ultra 3 watch. Store was jam packed with harried associates and customers. They couldn't port old watch Verizon activation to new. They couldn't process my iPhone 16 Pro Max or Ultra 2 watch trades. They didn't email my accessories [screen protector and case] receipt. Ovewrall an unusually disappointing Apple experience. But I blame management & the scheduling team for creating such a tough situation for the poor store associates and Apple customers. I don't often give five star reviews, but when I do they're well deserved. Such is the case with the NorthPark Center Apple Store. Unlike a number of reviewers, my experience was top notch. My friend had recently purchased an iPad Pro and was unable to set it up. Like so many of our generation, upgrading technology is both daunting and frustrating. And counter intuitive. Though bought at Best Buy, the Geeks there were unable to unscramble the process that kept getting her locked out. They suggested the Apple Store. Upon our arrival the store was extremely busy but an employee was there to help us immediately. Unfortunately she ran into the same problem as the Geeks. It was at that point that she referred us to a "Genius." After a short wait our Genius began working on the problem. It was a pretty involved process but our Genius, Leebne, was patient, knowledgeable and thorough. It took a while to fix the problem but it got fixed. And all the while Leebne was patient and helpful. Was a morning spent at North Park high on my To Do list? No hardly. But Leebne and the other employees made the time as painless as possible. I had to order a new iPhone for my wife. I ordered the phone online, but chose to pick up the phone in person at the North Park Mall. First of all, I had no idea the North Park Mall even existed, second of all I had no idea the mall is actually pretty nice. So I arrive at the Apple store and there are two lines, one I assume is for non-appointments, and the other is for appointments. I get the appointment line and I'm checked in probably around 2 minutes later. They did a temperature check with a forehead thermometer prior to letting me enter the store. I'll just say this here, I'm paranoid and I fear COVID, so I have a lot of respect for how Apple takes the care to assure employees and customers are safe from COVID to the best of their abilities. Once I'm checked in, a person is helping me in less than 2 minutes. He scans my barcode, checks my ID and grabs my new iPhone. He asked did I need help with anything else, and once the transaction was done, I was on my way. I've always loved the way Apple runs their business, and today was no exception. I drove my sister's friends here to pick up their iPhones. The store is located inside North Park Mall, right outside of Nordstrom. There were no lines, and we got greeted by a worker right away. The whole process took less than 10 mins. The store was clean and had all Apple products displayed if you wanted to play around. I did feel pressured because the employees kept coming up to ask if I needed any help while I was browsing for my group to take care of their business. Still, it's much better than the Galleria location which always has a huge line outside with a wait time of 20-30 mins. read more

Apple stores used to be elegant, and when you'd spend thousands of dollars there you'd be treated somewhat like a pseudo-royalty. Well that was a long time ago, possibly when Steve Jobs was still running the show. Now, Apple Stores are like DMV where 20 customers wait in line looking at 36 employees idling and 2 working at a pace that is one-tenth of a worker's in the private sector. Staff here mostly are indifferent, but it's understandable. If you will buy, you will buy. The Apple product and experience are nowadays much inferior to what they used to be. So usually I have a positive experience here at this Apple Store. Most of the employees are knowledgeable and kind. Today started out nice as the employee working with me tried to help. I was trying to trade my wiped perfect condition iPhone 13 Pro Max in since I purchased a new phone 16 days ago and believed I was told I had three weeks to bring back my old phone after transferring my files for a trade in for $320. Today the employee priced my phone at $320 like the employee had 16 days before because of its excellent condition but couldn't get the process to go through. It turns out that the deadline to trade was two days ago so it wouldn't work. The manager came over to help and quoted me $80 purchase price after I had just been told its value was $320. When I questioned what happened and commented that was ridiculous she looked at me and proceeded to lecture me saying "listen I don't need your attitude" among other haughty comments when I did nothing wrong. Offended by her comment I reminded her that I was the customer and she the employee and I refused to be lectured, to which she replied with more snottiness. Wow! A manager??! So unprofessional and RUDE. Really, Apple?? I currently own a 2025 MacBook Pro max, a iPhone 17 pro max, a 2023 iPad Pro, an Apple Watch and Apple air pods. I have spent a lot of money with Apple. I made an appointment for my work iPad, and bright my personal Mac as well. The guy at the front who checked me in showed me what I needed to do on my company cell phone Since that was an issue I could've done at home and saved myself two hours driving I went back to use the remainder of my time to get support for my personal MacBook. Otis checked me in and I gave him my personal cell phone to check me in and was given a 30 minute time frame to check in ( 7:15pm) I never received a text for my 2nd appointment. I came back to the store at 7:30 and realized they were texting my company cell and not my personal cell. Then I was told to click the link on my company cell to do Apple support on my phone. I refused to do Apple support on my cell phone while I WAS IN THE STORE AND DROVE TWO HOURS. When the initial guy who checked me in said Someone would help me and suggest I sit near the big screen tv in the back and someone would be with me shortly, Otis was sitting at the table and never apologized, nor acknowledge his mistake, for the now 60 minute wait but proceeded to tell me where I needed to sit instead, as if he were talking to a child. I had made an appointment earlier that day and had came in right on time. My AirPod pros were not connecting to any device. My Genius Bar helper had connected to me just a random pair of headphones, didn't have me check if they were mine, and had me leave. In 2012 i aquired my first iphone and it was fantastic. Things have changed with Apple i get the distinct feel of being taken for granted. They seem to give unfounded 1/2 answers to questions and issues. In September I began trying to recover my password. This wasn't due to me loosing it. Did you know that an iPhone 11 with an IP68 rating bought 3 months ago will fail in 1-2' of water submerged only after 5 seconds? AND that Apple will not cover ANY water damage unless you have Apple Care + and after that it's still at least a $75 charge. Good to know that an iPhone 11 with an IP68 rating is ONLY WATER RESISTANT and not backed up by apple. Maybe they would have helped and not charged us $399 if the phone was only 2 months old. She returned my phone to me without my phone case, and then insisted that I pay for another one. Called me an hour later and said it was her employees fault. I showed up to the mall after the New Year Holiday with my girlfriend to shop around and spend some money. We stopped at the Apple store because I was interested in getting an AirTag for my keys. A woman approached us as we waited in line to enter the store and inquired as to why we were there. "To buy something," I said. "What are you planning to buy," she asked in a sarcastic tone. I explained what I was expecting to buy, but isn't this a store? I had an idea of what I wanted to buy, but maybe I would have shopped and spent more given the opportunity. She advised they were sold out of AirTags, but again...maybe I would have still spent money. This location is operating under their pandemic rules as if the rest of the mall hasn't already dropped the charade. If Apple continues to run this location as if it's in a state where they've already closed multiple locations, I can't imagine they anticipate to keep this location open either. This Apple Store doesn't have the best vibes. Nobody really welcomes you in and it takes a bit to be helped at the genius bar, but these geniuses deserve their titles. T was sooooo helpful in saving my phone and keeping me happy. It took like two hours to get my issue resolved because it was really complex and she continued to offer solutions and work with me despite her busy workload. My son was at the store with a couple of his friends. They were trying out new phone cases. Store manager Mia decided it was a good idea to accuse my son of steeling a phone case. Without video footage, without any proof. Just a couple of customers making accusations. Resident police officer Hernandez disregarded my son telling him that it was his phone case and proceeded to request a proof of purchase for his phone case. I actually had to submit a photo of the Amazon purchase for the phone case. I called a store manager and she was as incompetent as the store police. Once they saw the proof of purchase they banned my son from the store. I am curious what type of training Apple provides or are they just desperate to employ anyone, competent or not. I wasn't always a fan of Apple or the iPhone until maybe five years ago maybe a little more. I couldn't understand the crazy lines and it was always crowded. I think the only complaint that I have of Apple is that there's not enough apple stores in our area. But having said that, I've had a few iPhones And an iPad and I've enjoyed them thoroughly When going to the store to get anything fixed or buy can be a chore and a hassle. Sometimes you gotta sign up in the queue to set up an appointment. But today was a good experience. I went in there looking for AirPods and I asked the associate there if she recommended the Apple air pods, pro or the beats. And hands-down, she said go with the Apple pro. So I did and she even help this Neanderthal how to set them up because technology isn't my best friend. And it wasn't really busy. Jamie made an appointment to get her defective battery replaced on her iphone. We showed up at the appointed time (6:30pm on a Friday night), and the happy greeter guy told us to sit down and wait for about 90 minutes until someone could help us. Where else in the world would people sit and wait for hours after their appointment time to get a simple service issue resolved? She gave up after about 45 minutes. A chaos Apple Store that never seems to slow down. There's always a huge crowd and it takes forever for any of the sales associate to answer your question. There's a quick checkout area where you can just go and pick up iPhones, iPads or itouch quickly without the long line hassle. Which I find it not true. They had 1 associate running that line and I've waited over 30 min. to get a mini iPad that wasn't in stock. One associate as another associate to check and he never came back. If anyone really needs to stop by this apple store in advise them to go in right at 10 AM or on the weekdays, other then that its just crazy fighting the crowd. read more

Horrible customer service. I went in 1.5h early for a 5:20PM appointment to fix my screen and was told without even looking at my profile to come back at my allotted time. Came back at 5:20PM and the service tech said that they were not able to repair the phone the same day and wanted me to come back a THIRD time to get the phone fixed with inflexible secondary options. There is no direct number for the store so there is no ability to ask any questions about how long the queue is. The lack of flexibility and customer service in the first part is appalling as well. I would've liked to be told at 4PM that they would not be able to repair my phone and to reschedule it instead. read more

Unprofessional / Irresponsible / Condescending. Apple does not care about your products after it's sold, and they are going to accuse you of the defects they created. Apple takes reservations without checking its inventory. I made a reservation at the Galleria Dallas location for battery replacement and was informed that they cannot replace my battery due to an inventory shortage upon arrival. This cost me 2 hours to get my appointment transferred to the Northpark location. Northpark location provided the worst customer and damaged my device by making a scratch at the back of my phone. Below is a recap of condescending one-way communication I received from Odis (Store Manager of this location): 1. "There's no verification that we made that scratch and we can't do anything for you" * If anything happens to the customer's product during repair, are you not going to take any responsibility? Where is the accountability from Apple if the customer will be held accountable for everything? Customers are not allowed to monitor the repair. 2. "That's an iPhone 11. I'm not going to replace anything" - I asked if he was referring to my phone as "old" and he said yes. * Apple rep clearly expressed that they do not care for "older" models when they market their products are durable and care for all customers (regardless of the model) by allowing iOS upgrades on the older models. Very hypocritical. * Regardless of the age of this product, Apple should be responsible if they made aesthetic defects while delivering their service. 3. "I'm not gonna give you that" - Odis refused to provide his identification when either employee id or name was requested for the condescending service I received to prevent this from being escalated to the corp office. Another accountability issue here. Overall, my experience with the Apple store today was the worst. Bell the manager on shift didn't know how to run a simple diagnosis test on airpod pros. And wouldn't accept them for repair. She kept arguing and never let me speak. She rudely interrupted me multiple times because she would never admit that she was wrong and didn't know how to run a proper test. She couldn't tell me why they didn't work but kept going in circles about how the AirPods worked. They took the pods to the back and ran a test but said they never heard anything. They didn't test all the features and came back saying it's fine. They wouldn't accept it. The pods don't make sound on the right one and only work when both are in and I kept telling her and she wouldn't listen. Horrible manager skills. No compassion for any customer. read more
