This store was great! It was so speedy. I had an emergency with my MacBook Pro. I walked in without a Genius Bar appointment early in the morning. I explained my situation. I work with my laptop and am at a literal stand-still if I don't have it. I had deadlines to meet and so on. The store was able to get me an appointment 30 minutes from then. Sean was the Genius Bar person that attended to me. He was so great! I explained what I thought was wrong with it and he went right to the point. He said he knew what it probably was. He did a diagnostic to my laptop in about 2 minutes. Then told he'd take it to the back and return in less than 5 minutes. He did come back in less than 5, less than 3 actually. He gave me good news and told me my laptop would be back to functioning that same day. Sean was so relaxed and knowledgeable. I have had people in the support team that at times just tell me a bunch of gibberish and don't really get the job done. Sean wasn't like that. He really showed me what Apple is all about. It's good to note that prior to going to the store, I spoke on the phone with a team member named Kevin who is part of Apple Care. His attentiveness to my issue and even ability to calm me down as I was concerned about my laptop was exceptional. Together, Kevin and Sean renewed my confidence in Apple customer service. This store provides the worst service I have ever experienced in any type of business. Brought my iPhone 7 in to be repaired for a glitch that iPhone 7 has. Quoted 3 to 5 business day return time 14 days I'm still waiting no one seems to be able to tell me when my phone is. They lied when they told me 3 to 5 days return time and that they would issue me a new phone because of this problem iPhone sevens have, A LIE! They would not issue me a loaner because they were all out. LIE! I believe they lost my phone or failed to send it to the service center. After numerous phone calls, a total over 2 1/2 hours of phone calls, numerous emails to support center. Then when we spoke with An operator name Daniel because the manager was too busy on the floor to talk with us. He more or less said too bad nothing we can do here. I had to wait one week to get an appointment at the store now another 14 days of no phone. And Apple could care less and Altamonte Springs Apple Store cares even less than that. Because of the store I will never on an Apple product android for me. If I ever get the phone which cost me $850 one year ago I will pull a Hillary Clinton and smash it with a hammer, since it's good for nothing. If this Apple store would have a little customer service, a little common sense, a little politeness, a little I give a shit I might not be so bitter about Apple. The battery in my IPhone 6 just wouldn't hold a charge for more than a day. Called the Apple store in Altamonte Springs to make an appointment. Very easy, can book 1 week out. Went to the store got right in "this is great I'm thinking ". To my disappointment the tech wouldn't replace the battery. I was in England 2 years ago and had a battery problem and had to have it replaced. Because the battery wasn't genuine Apple they refused to work on my phone. Disappointed that they let me hag, let that be a lesson to other Apple users. I had no choice being out of the country (and a small city) for the repair. If you do have a choice, find an Apple store. read more

I purchased Christmas items from Apple online. I planned for them to be delivered to my house within two hours....waited for two hours then I was texting from post mates saying that they cannot enter my neighborhood gate....when I tried to reply to the text message it would not deliver it was basically like a computer automated message that didn't have an actual line that I could contact. I then contacted Postmates which told me because I didn't have the order under my account there was nothing that they could do because this issue is with Apple and I should contact Apple. Which I called the altamonte mall location and proceeded to stay on the phone with Apple for 40 minutes only for them to tell me that my package was returned to the store. When I called the store to see if I could pick it up they informed me that the entire order was canceled however my account was still charged and the money was removed from my bank account which they told me that's not something that they could access to know when I would be credited for the amount so my only option would be to re-order all the things that I had ordered and pay for them and then pick them up from the store. I was also told that this is a corporate decision so basically my complaint doesn't matter. read more

For the amount of Apple products that are sold, you'd think that hApe would have a bigger support team. I use my MacBook for work and it wasn't starting, so I went to the Apple Store. I had to put my name on a waiting list and wait an hour and half to get a text back. Once there I had to wait in a line again. Then I was able to wait at the Genius Bar. My product seemed fixed. The next day I try to restart and nothing. This is very discouraging because ALL of my Work data is stored on my MacBook. I tried to call for an appointment and the next one wasn't for a WEEK! So unless I want to go in and wait again there's nothing I can do! This isn't good customer service. Apple needs a better plan and more employees, otherwise, what's the point in buying Apple products that can't be serviced within an appropriate time frame?! I have a JOB to do. Alex at the Genius Bar reminded me today why I like apple. My phone was malfunctioning to the point of disuse and after a quick inspection he saw the problem and realized my dilemma. My husband made an appointment for 6:10 and wasn't helped until 6:45! They then said it would be an hour wait to replace the battery. To top all that we are currently on chat with Apple support because her phone is not working. My husband also noticed if someone was in the store to make a purchase they got help right away, but being a warranty battery replacement they were not attentive. We had the best experience ever at this Apple store. We went in very upset because I could not pair my new Apple Watch with my iPhone 6+. Turns out the person who sold my husband the watch accidentally sold him a watch that would not pair with my phone. I needed a 6S plus to use the Phone app that would work with the Apple Watch. They explained which phones would work with my Apple Watch and after checking out the possibilities I opted to upgrade to an iPhone 11. They were with me the whole time exchanging the phone and pairing the phone with my watch. It took a little bit of time but they were most helpful and answered all our questions. I would definitely go back to the store if I needed any assistance with my Apple products. read more

Worst experience ever and harassment continues... We gave macbook for repair and raised safety concern when it started overheating and caused burn marks. This was 2 weeks back. At that time senior advisor was assigned to our case. Store as well as national customer care mentioned that we take safety very seriously and issue will be resolved within 3-5 days. Since then we have followed up multiple times with store and customer care and there has been no update/ response. Yesterday store mentioned that we dont have update as well as definite timeline. Apple customer care representative was extremely rude. This is second instance of faulty laptop and to make matter worse very pathetic customer service. I was hesitant after reading negative reviews about the wait time, even with an appointment. I made an appointment via the website for 1pm. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment and was taken immediately by a friendly team member. As he ran the routine tests on my phone he walked me through everything he was doing. I already knew I needed a new battery and that was why I set up the appointment. I was given the time of completion to be 2:15. I walked the mall and was in the area at 1:50 so popped in. My phone was ready! I am so glad I ignored the reviews. GREAT service and super friendly team members. Love Millenia Mall but hate the wait and crowds at that Apple Store. The customer service was very disappointing and Apple needs to work on it. I went into the Apple Store with the intent of exchanging my and my son's phone charger; however, to my dismay, I was only able to exchange his. We have cellular service with Verizon and there's a 1yr warranty from the purchase date of the phone that you can exchange your charger. I went into the Apple Store in the Altamonte Mall. With it being Black Friday; I assumed it would be crowded and it was. When you enter the store there's someone there to greet you asking what brings you to the Apple Store. I advised the greeter that I needed to exchange chargers. I was advised to go see the person with the "red" I pad which there was a line and I assumed it would be. When it was my turn, I explained my situation to the young man. He told me I would need an appointment and that it would be an hour wait. I was ok with that being it was black Friday but thought I only need to exchange two charger cords. My son and I wondered around the mall for an hour; went back to the store and waited another 10-15 min when I received a text message that I would need to head back to the store. Ten minutes later, I received another text message stating it was my turn. I immediately approached the first apple employee I saw and was told to go see the person with the "red" I pad. At this point, I thought to myself this is ridiculous. This time, My son and I were told to go have a seat and someone would be with us shortly; that shortly was another 15 min wait. At this point, I was not in a good mood. Finally, a young man approached us to help; I explained for the 4th time why I was there. He proceeded to look and look and look and look and look at the phone. He then told me he could only replace one of the chargers. I asked why and he said that one of the cords was beyond normal wear and tear according to the apple warranty. I explained to him his perception of "normal" wear and tear an another person's perception are two different things. I asked for a manager, the manager brought over a copy of the "apple warranty" I read it and still didn't agree. And oh, they suggested that I purchase the "apple care warranty." In a nutshell, only one charger cord was replaced. So for those of you that have apple products; please be sure you have that "apple care warranty" when you purchase any products from the apple store. The customer service was not good. The wait is entirely too long, then to be told you need an appointment and to come back in an hour; just ridiculous. I was quickly greeted at the door. Told the greeter I was there to pick up an order, he called someone and that someone raised his hand so I knew who to walk to. I ordered a phone online and decided to pick it up at the store instead of having it shipped. Would have given 5 stars but for some reason my order would not come up via my last name. Had to give him the order number. Not a big issue but what if I didn't have my order number? I was in and out within 10 minutes. It was a Monday so the place wasn't too busy. Definitely a much smoother and calmer experience here than the Florida Mall location. read more

Jeez. Sad to have to write this, but if you buy a phone, tablet or computer from this store, expect to not be able to get an appointment to get it fixed. I've had problems with my iphone and MacBook multiple times this year and this store is NEVER able to make an appointment for me. Apply now gives you the runaround worse than a cell phone company or an insurance company. That's especailly frustrating when you're going back in for the same problems repeatedly because they weren't fixed the first time. If all your support appointments are booked for months at a time and your paying customers can't get critical problems fixed, obviously there's a problem. read more

All other "geniuses" were deployed in wait for customers wanting to buy something. Which might have been fine if she hadn't been condescending and impatient. The other geniuses couldn't be bothered to assist they just kept funneling people to her and stood around BS'ing with one another as the service line grew...terrible experience, terrible service strategy. The redesign looks really good. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even though it gets busy. I love the big projection screen they set up and how they do classes. Being in the Apple Store feels like what we thought the future would look like when I was a kid. Also, they repaired my MacBook Pro and didn't charge me, as it was covered under their quality program. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff is very friendly and knowledge. However the wait time is really long. My phone literally just needed to be worked with for one minute to get it to restore. Meanwhile, I waited an hour just for them to work on it for that minute. I understand they're busy but the next appointment they had was next week, so I did take the risk of a long wait time, which they made very clear. So I definitely can't fault them for that. When arriving at the store, there was not a clear place to check in. Before this experience, I found there to be a person at the front where you could check in and did not have to go wandering around the busy store to find them. Once I checked in, I was told to go have a seat at a specific table. That table was already filled up with appointments after me. I was forced to scavenge for another table. At this point, I sat and waited for my appointment time, as I was 10 minutes early. I just kept sitting. No visual Que to let me know how much longer, no person stopping by to tell me a wait time. Finally, after 10-15 minutes over my appointment time, I had to flash down an associate too get a quote time to which they said I was next. Seeing the service tech was the highlight of the visit. He helped me with two separate issues and was very professional. After which he quoted me an hour after stating that standard repairs are 45 minutes. I get it, you're busy. I took this time to shop. I came back to check in, Knowing this time the "greeter" was hidden in the middle of the store, 10 minutes early. I was told, after they radioed in my repair, it should be ready shortly and to have a seat by the door. I tried to sit by the door. An associate was at the table with a Sony tv and he asked if i was there for the workshop...I was not, so he had me move. Curious how they asked me to sit there. Now there were no where for more to sit, so I stood awkwardly in between two tables. As I'm standing awkwardly, My scheduled fix time rolls by. I patiently wait 15 additional minutes to give them the benefit of the doubt. Nothing. I, again, go to the "greeter" and ask where my repair is he radios again, and we are told 5 more minutes. 5 minutes rolls around...nothing. So another 10 minutes, on top of the 5, an associate FINALLY gives me my phone. I remember back when I had an issue with my 4s. I took it into an Apple store, with an appointment, and was seen before the time scheduled. After the diagnostic, they replaced the whole phone in a matter of minutes. The repairs may save you money, but they take time from your customers, and to not deliver on quote times is unacceptable. My time may not be extremely valuable, being a college student, but I do not want to spend over 3 hours waiting for a phone repair. After a bad experience at the millenia location I vowed never to go back into an apple store. Upon a visit to the Altmonte mall yesterday I decied to give them one more chance. Wow what a change in customer service! It took not more than a few minutes in the store before I was asked if I needed any help. The girl who helped me was very informative. She even convinced me to buy the cheaper headphones when she clearly could have tried to upsell me to the more expensive ones. First time going to this mall. I live in Deland. Went hoping they would still have iPhone 6 plus in stock. Walked in and was greeted by a nice man. He took my name and asked what iPhone I wanted and carrier. Told me the ones they had and took my name to save it. Got there early so there was only two people ahead of me. Waited about 20 minutes for my turn. Alan came out to help me. He was so nice. I was all set and ready to go in less than ten minutes. Super fast. I'm only giving one star because It made me. I made a 7:50pm Genius Bar appointment and 8:30pm came and nobody was able to help me. Why schedule an appointment time if it's unrealistic for your staff to commit to it. The irony is every time I go to an Apple Store to BUY something, I get helped almost immediately (Unless it's a release day or week).
