I have been here many times over the years, and my latest experience was as good as my previous visits. The staff are so friendly and seem genuinely interested in assisting you and fixing whatever issue you may have. This visit, I needed the back of my iPhone 16 replaced, so I booked an appointment for the Genius Bar and arrived a few minutes before. I was immediately greeted, they took my info, and sat me at a table. A few minutes later, another staff member arrived and went over what was going to happen. My phone was whisked away, and I sat and took in the atmosphere. They were giving classes on the main screen, which I found very interesting, and I learned things I never knew about my MacBook! About 90 minutes later, my representative arrived with my iPhone as good as new. I paid, thanked the staff, and walked out, happy as a clam! I love the Apple Store! read more

NEVER EVER GO TO THIS STORE! It's being run by rude employees who won't help and leave you within 5 minutes.. I was supposed to be there for 20 minutes but I ended up staying for 4 long hours.. I even had an appointment but they said because I was ten minutes late that they dropped me. Then they finally gave me a woman who spent 5 minutes and left. I saw her next to me talking to 3 other employees about an issue a black woman had at my table ( btw , the manager was black and not friendly ) then I complained because no one was helping me, they finally gave me a guy who spent 3 minutes and left, complained, sent me another guy who spent 4 minutes and left, on and on.. it was chaos.. I had a two year old IPad that I had bought there and after an hour and a half of them trying to fix it, ( a woman who stayed with me finally ) she decided it did not work the screen went black again..she said too bad, you didn't but Apple insurance we can't help you.. I ended up having to buy a new IPad, than you very much .. I was so exhausted the next day I missed a doctor's appointment! I WILL NEVER YO TO THAT STORE!! I walked in around 5:15 to have my laptop looked at. I was given an appointment for 6:35. I received a text at 6:34 to head in. Once I checked in I waited about 5 minutes before someone came over. The gentleman helping me was very knowledgeable, he did offer upgrading as an option but also gave me alternatives that would fix my problem. Went to this location as it is closer to home, went right after Christmas and the store was full which we thought we were going to wait a long time but no we waited about 5 minutes. Pretentious is an understatement. If you have a service issue, don't expect leadership to help--decisions are made before they even hear you out. The frontline employees are great, but management fakes listening while pushing the same scripted solutions. I've made multiple trips, provided video and photo proof, yet they still insist on resetting the software. Did you know your local Apple Store offers free classes??? Yep. Photo, Video, Music, Coding, Apps. There's a class for that and more. No charge. We took our first class yesterday and learned so many things we didn't know about iPhone photography. If you're investing $1000+ on a phone shouldn't you know all the features and shortcuts that it's got?! There is so much more that our phones are capable of if we take the time to learn. Michael led our class and Our minds were blown. I've been an iPhone user since 2008 and didn't know some of the features that had been available for years, lol. Rick gave us AMAZING service on two occasions but the wait is quite horrendous. Even after checking in it feels like you are forgotten about. I had to chase reps around the store. Quite ridiculous. Rick is nothing short of amazing and god sent. On two separate vacations saved the day on two totally different cell phones on our family vacation!! One phone had a VPN issue and the other fell into the pool as my son jumped in accomplishing an epic cannonball . Each time Rick saved the day. Definitely a vacation to remember. Rick gets 5 stars. They've completed revamped this location and it looks great! We popped in just to see the new digs. They re-opened their doors a little later than anticipated due to the hurricane, but it was worth a few extra days wait. The new location is bright, airy and open. It feels like you are walking into a boutique with natural light. Everything is spaced out nicely and they have tons of display merch out for you to look at and test out. Personally I don't own Apple things, but I get the draw to them. This store is a great space and loving all the updates. Overall: A Great newly re-opened location that's been completely redone. Awful experience. The newest IPhone in our household stopped receiving cellular data. Called Apple, they said it was a carrier problem. Went to my carrier and they did a factory reset. After wiping the phone they referred us back to Apple. We went to the store at Altamonte Mall. First, despite there being almost as many staff as patrons, we had to sign in and make a reservation. One hour later they texted us that they were ready for us. Met the first guy. Very nice, think his name was Ankosi. He suggested trying to reload all the software. This took some time. While that was occurring, he was able to look online and see where we had called Apple. According to what he read online, Apple was saying it was a hardware problem. The only solution was replacement as we were out of warranty. We discussed several options, but landed on a replacement phone he had in the store for $425. We agreed and he went off to get us a salesman. Moments later we were introduced to Justin. Ankosi told us that Justin was the best there was. Ankosi was wrong. After Ankosi left, Justin started up selling us to a $700+ phone. When I told him that Ankosi told us $425, he played it off saying that was for an older model 'replacement' phone...why not 'pay a little bit extra to get a newer model'. I explained that almost double was not a little bit more and that we had discussed what we wanted already with Ankosi. Justin was not happy with that response. He pressed and we agree to the more expensive phone provided he could activate it for us. It said it would be no problem to do so. 20 minutes later after several attempts he was unable to set up the phone with my carrier. He suggested I buy the phone from him and go across the street and have my cell provider activate it. Frustrated I told him I had been going back and forth for over a week and wasn't interested in paying$700 for something that was not working with the hope that the next vendor could make it work. We left the store and went across the street. At the OTHER store I was able to buy the phone I wanted and have it activated in under 20 minutes. Will not go to Apple Store again. read more

If If I could give zero stars I would. We first walked in at 4:40. We're told to walk behind two men standing at the back to check in. The men in front of us checked in and the person who checked them in then walked away and we were standing there for about five minutes with nobody coming up to us. I then went up to a random Apple employee and said I need to check in and somebody told us to stand there but nobody has came up to us yet. They finally checked us in at 450 and said we would be seen in 15 minutes. We waited in the designated area that they told us to wait in for 45 minutes. I saw multiple people who came in after us get seen. I stopped a employee and told them we had been waiting for 45 minutes and we had been told it would be 15 minutes and he said OK I will put you next in line. Right after he told me that he checked and somebody else and also told them it would be 15 minutes. The 20 minutes go by and somebody goes to help the same person that got checked in 45 minutes after me. I stop the employee once again and say how am I keep on being told that I'm next but people keep checking in after me and are getting seen before me. He then promises me again that I will be seen next. By this time it had been over an hour, when once again I was told I would be seen in 15 minutes. They then continue to help the person that came in 45 minutes after me. I finally was seen an hour and a half after they initially told me I would be. read more

First time visiting this store and I was immediately overwhelmed with how packed and insane this place looked. But nothing to fear, I had scheduled an appointment for my MacBook Pro that had recently died on me. Scheduling was easy and I arrived about 10 minutes earlier. Went straight to the Genius Bar and was greeted and checked-in. A store associated gathered my information and briefed me on the process of meeting with the technician. Two minutes after my scheduled appointment, technician, Brianna, immediately greeted us, took our info, explained our options and took my Mac to the back to run diagnostics. After about five minutes, she popped by again and explained that my computer was struggling with the newest updated on the software and that she needed to reboot my computer and install the previous software, 12.0. Sucked losing most of my data, but I kind of saw that coming already, so I agreed to having the reboot. Approximately 30 minutes later, my MacBook Pro was just like new. I had an apple iphone ( model 6 plus) and an apple watch. I bought a new phone (model 13). Several apple persons told me my watch would work with my new form. Over 2 months and working with many, many apple people I was told my watch would not work with my new phone. I was also told the best answer is for me the spend another $300 for a new watch. I was also told I could use my old phone and watch together and the watch would work. After a number of attempts over the phones I found I had to drive another 165 mile drive to an Apple store to get this done. Are you serious! Apple does make some good products but if everything isn't perfect the customer is in deed trouble. There is no easy processes to get anything done with Apple. I was invited to "touch everything" (no thanks, big germaphobe me). But I did enjoy watching some of the Apple event here. The place was PACKED. Everyone wanted to learn about the new phone, watch, iPad, and - drumroll, please - AppleTV +, launching Nov. 1st. This new streaming service (and Netflix's next nightmare) will cost only $4.99/month. If you are lucky enough to purchase a phone, watch, or iPad today (9/10), you get the service for free for one year. And that's what you call "game, set, and match!" Better still, today I learned of a wonderful in-house service called "Today at Apple." You can visit Apple.com, select your location and register for any number of classes re: Art Skills, Product Skills, Photography, Kid's Hour and the classes are FREE. Time runs anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. This is just another example of how this marketing giant keeps us coming back for more...it teaches us how to best utilize their products, taught by experts, and at no cost. Went in to get my AirPod Pros looked at, as my right pod wasn't working/had connectivity issues. I went in at 11 when the store opened, and was able to be set up with a Genius Appointment at 12:45. Rick was the specialist that helped me, and he was very helpful. He ran all of the tests and it turned out that my left pod failed the audio frequency test (I had no idea it was also having issues ). Since they were still under warranty, he was able to get them swapped out for new ones. Super easy process. read more

Made an appointment online, showed up on time and got checked in immediately. They have a couple different "lines" of which none are lines. They're basically just areas to stand, as I'm sure they go with appointment times. I appreciate how there is a separate pick up line versus appointment line. You can grab your items easily and go. It's bizarre that they have contracted with an outside company for security and temperature checking. But I guess that allows the employees to focus on their job. I was checked in, waited up to 5 min, and then called back for my repair. Assistance was helpful and I was in and out very quickly. I was even told my repair would be free because there was no exterior damage. I was expecting to pay up to $100 with AppleCare coverage, so that was a nice surprise. My phone has been "broken" since December, but it has been exceedingly difficult to get an appointment that worked with my schedule. I'm glad to see the Altamonte store open and the schedule opening up. I got the date and time I wanted. The repair was promised in one hour. I came back a couple hours later, waited a few minutes in the pickup line and was told it would be $29. I explained I was told it would be free? She made a few checks and changes and sure enough, it was free. I wonder if I had paid, if they would have recognized and refunded me on the back end? I doubt it. My advice- Be vocal people. If they said free, it should be free. And luckily, after a few changes and an apology, it was free. My phone is perfect again. Thank you! read more

At around 1 PM, I called ahead to make an appointment. The woman at the call center called the store specifically to see if I could come in. She was delighted to tell me that I could come in as a walk in after 5:30, since that's when I get out of work. I drive the 45 minutes to the store only to be turned away by a snarky man outside. "You need to make an appointment." "I tried to, but they told me to walk in" "The call center doesn't have the capabilities to make appointments" "They called you SPECIFICALLY to make sure that I could come in before making the drive" "Well, we don't have time for you today." Great. No apologies and not helpful at all. Obvious poor communication between customer service and the store. Not organized. I would've expected more from Apple. read more

The lady that was helping us said they can price match if we found it cheaper at Walmart at target or any retail store and when we did, she said that they could only take 10% off that's not matching. Thanks to Frandy at the Altamonte location, my customer service experience was superb! *chefs kiss* I came in for a diagnosis because my XR was acting twitchy after the iOS 15 update. It literally took no more than 30 mins tops to have the software wiped clean and rebooted. I tried everything to get things working after the malfunction (on my end) but thankfully, everything was fixed seamlessly (and before my work shift)! Frandy is very patient, problem-solving oriented, efficient and friendly. It also didn't hurt that we had awesome conversation and eagerly chatted about the latest Netflix film (The Harder They Fall... Check it out!).
