Alinna M.

My girlfriends and I tried out App Nails on a college reunion trip to Boone. We were hopeful because of the overall positive reviews, but we had a rough experience. The guy working with us was kind, but the girl seemed annoyed and short with us even though we were being kind and patient. All but one of our pedicures were awful. None of the paint went to the edge of the nail on my toenails and I had to trim several of them after I left because they were jagged and kept snagging inside my socks. My gel polish was all peeling at the edges within *three days* while pedicures I get at my regular salon last weeks. My sister's toenails (pictured) were cut in a really strange way where the big toenails dip in the middle and come up on the sides. The "massage" lasted no more than 2 minutes which was a bummer too. The experience during and how quickly my polish came off afterward just felt like a huge letdown for a $70 ($60 for gel plus tip) pedicure. Maybe there other location is better but I wouldn't risk this place.

The cutest nail art. Shout out to Marlene

Love the staff there! They are all friendly and very talented in the skills. They offer esthetician and massage services as well.

This is the first place I have gotten a manicure since moving to the mountains. I picked them…read morebecause they are open till 8 pm. I showed up to my appointment at 6:45 for a simple mani. No gel, no French, just a simple manicure. Right off the bat, they sat me down with an older gentleman. I was trying to pick my colors but he wanted me to sit, so I did. Keep in mind this is an Asian run salon so it's hard sometimes to understand the accent, plus there is a face mask. Instead of removing my gel nails with acetone, he drilled down my nails. I Already didn't like that bc it wasn't coming off properly. He rushed me thru my appointment. I told him the red he was using was old and tacky... he acted like he didn't understand me and kept going. The icing on the cake was when he started to paint my nails and didn't go all the way to the end with the color. Even I can do a better job than him!! At this point, I just wanted to leave and NEVER COME BACK HERE. He billed me $5 for removal of the gel nails... that were not removed. $15 for the manicure. Meanwhile, I sat to dry my nails and they guy was gone. So he pretty much rushed me thru my nails bc I was done by 7:05. I got it done on a Thursday and by Saturday they were chipped on both hands.... And I do zero manual labor so my nails usually last me 2-3 weeks... So not only is the guy bad, they have cheap enamel and don't understand a thing you say. Pass this place up, def not recommended at all
