I was very pleased with everything from the initial contact to meeting with the salesman to the installers. They installed additional insulation to get it back up to standard, sealed gaps, and installed a zippered stir covering in my attic. All at a very reasonable price. They used Owens Corning ProPink and gave me a discount for being a Duke customer. I am very pleased with the work and the company as a whole. I highly recommend them.

I was very specific stating i wanted to use Rockwool insulation; when they called, I reiterated I wanted Rockwool batt and asked if their company works with this product. She said "yes." Later that day, a tech came out, I told him I only want to use Rockwool; he proceeded with inspecting, measuring and taking pictures of my attic and, I also asked him to give me an estimate on adding insulation to my crawlspace. An hour later, he says his estimate is done and tells me they DON'T use Rockwool!! This lousy SOB just wasted my time. I don't trust companies that lie every step of the way to their customers. What else might they lie about while they're performing some home improvement job?

We called Insulation Commandos and were able to schedule an estimate for the very next day. Other providers that we called didn't even pick up the phone or said they would return our call and ghosted us. Simon, the owner, came out to do the estimate for us. He was on time and texted us beforehand. He is very knowledgeable about insulation and was able to explain things in a way that made it easy to understand! He walked us through a few different options at different price points and didn't put any pressure on us. The best part is, we were able to schedule the project for the same week! The day of the project, Simon texted us again to let us know they were on their way. This time, he even included a picture of the truck so we knew what to expect. He and his crew were extremely efficient, professional, and courteous. They were done in a single day and cleaned up after themselves! We highly recommend Insulation Commandos and will definitely be using them again to upgrade the insulation in our attic.

Home insulation is not something you typically think of as being very exciting. The prospect of…read moretalking to someone about insulation seemed to me as interesting as talking a trip to Home Depot, and trips to Home Depot freak me out enough to give me diarrhea. (Seriously. I've never been in that store without blowing up their bathroom. I'm bad at being a homeowner.) John Meeks, who runs Appleblossom Insulators, makes finding effective, environmentally friendly home insulation into a fascinating prospect. It's kind of amazing. It would be worth getting a home insulation estimate from these guys just to see how excited he gets when he talks about this stuff. Not only do you feel like you are going to save money after you talk with him, but you'll feel like you're going to contribute to saving the world. All their work is guaranteed, which makes me feel good. I'm learning the hard way as a homeowner that I can't cut corners by getting some dork from Craigslist to come fix what's broken. I've got to fix stuff the right way the first time, or I end up paying more later. So if you are in the fascinating home insulation market, I think you'll invest your dollars wisely in Appleblossom.

AppleBlossom did a respectable job while adding dense pack cellulose to the exterior wall cavities…read moreof our home. James was our primary point of contact for the quotation and work. We have a 1960's built house in which there was no insulation in the exterior walls. During the day of the work, their employees showed up on time and prepared to get to work, and worked tirelessly and efficiently throughout the day. We've found the home to be a touch warmer (work was done in January) and very noticeably quieter since the install. There was one minor issue where a drywall seam was cracked while blowing in the insulation into that particular wall cavity. James was able to come out the following day to evaluate and had a new drywall panel installed a week later. All things considered, I am satisfied with the work done and would recommend AppleBlossom to anyone looking to have insulation added to their home.
