Everything is fresh and top quality for a cheaper price than in grocery stores. Employees are very friendly and helpful to everyone, who asks for advice about their products. Once, I overpaid for something, but I said nothing, since they work hard and I considered it as a donation (they deserve it). Most people who come to visit don't realize you can just walk right up to pick your apples with your empty basket - you don't HAVE to wait for the tractor to bring you up. However I would take it DOWN the hill when you have a full basket of apples since it gets pretty heavy and tiring to carry. Along with apple picking, they also sell cider donuts, hard cider, corn on the cob, and a variety of jams and honeys. Their products are so tasty - I would recommend getting something to enjoy while you are there after apple picking. They also have a selection of pumpkIns you can pick from, but they aren't in a patch. Truly a gem in Hunterdon County!

We traveled here from Hoboken NJ and we both were looking forward to having a fun day. She hands us two bags - basically 5.00 each plus tax. She informs us that backpacks are not allowed. We are seniors and we do need to carry water and minor belongings like car keys and these were smalI sling bags, I mean really? Who in the world is interested in robbing apples? We went out to pick apples and picking was slim at best. Afterwards we are charged 3.49 per pound for the apples we have picked. Also no other customers were there. Now I know why. To be honest- Go Else Where! We usually go to Warwick, or Pennings Farms both in New York. We regreted our decision to try Melick Orchards. We followed the 4.5 review rating and I do not believe this rating can possibly be correct. In Warwick NY you basically pay for a bag and fill it as much as you can and you are not charged extra for the pounds of apples you have picked. The customer facing is excellent as well. Your choice. There were a fair number of other patrons picking up pies and Thanksgiving meal accompaniments. The one-person checkout line went quickly, with her retrieving pre-orders and checking out. The country store interior is cozy and filled with of homemade goodies to include quiches, I didn't see any personal-sized ones, soups, milk, fresh apple juice, etc. We ate the banana cream pie before Thanksgiving and we loved the whole slices of bananas and thick banana custard. Too much whipped topping for our taste but it still gets a solid 5-stars. Fam thoroughly enjoyed the ginger snaps as well, with their coffee. I LOVE these cookies, moist, chewy, warming spices and enjoyable after taste....Christmas in a cookie. Can't wait for 2026....

They have little peaches, that are really sweet and good. If you have a kid who thinks he doesn't like fruit, get him some little peaches. The ice cream they carry is fabulous, and has spoiled me for any other kind. The jams they carry are also wonderful. My only suggestion: their parking lot is set up so you almost half to back out to the major road when leaving. Very dangerous. I wish they would figure out some way to have safer parking.

She brought me for the first time because she thought I would love it, and she was right. Prior reviews seem to be prior to and during the location change. Mount Bethel Farms is located off the beaten path and it feels like you're in someone's backyard (in the best way possible). Imagine a beautiful bar shed, good music, and shaded tables with the company of emus, ducks, and pigs. My toddler loved visiting the animals (as did I!) while the rest of the crew enjoyed AMAZING adult beverages at the bar. There were 3 speciality cocktails on the menu and they were incredible. The husband & wife team behind Mount Bethel Farms could not have been more welcoming and friendly. They told us all about the farm and were very knowledgeable about all of their produce. Nearly everything you consume is made right there on the farm. I can't wait to come back. On site is also their farmers market, where you can buy their all-natural beef, duck, chicken, eggs, honey, etc. I am so impressed & will absolutely recommend Mount Bethel Farms to anyone in the area.
