Back again Thanksgiving 2025! Pre- ordered a few pies for the fam: 2 pumpkin and a banana cream, as well as ginger snaps. We also purchased personal-sized pies, peanut butter and blueberry. There were a fair number of other patrons picking up pies and Thanksgiving meal accompaniments. The one-person checkout line went quickly, with her retrieving pre-orders and checking out. The country store interior is cozy and filled with of homemade goodies to include quiches, I didn't see any personal-sized ones, soups, milk, fresh apple juice, etc. We ate the banana cream pie before Thanksgiving and we loved the whole slices of bananas and thick banana custard. Too much whipped topping for our taste but it still gets a solid 5-stars. Fam thoroughly enjoyed the ginger snaps as well, with their coffee. very expensive. pricing for bakery items are not marked and may cause heart attack at the checkout. apples are tastee but very expensive. you can buy the same great apples at Shady Maple for almost half the cost. Shady Maples bakery items blow Pappys out of the park. I bought a half bushel of apples, and the girl charged me $.65 to taste one. I won't be back, and recommend others to shop around before patronizing this orchard. read more

A wee bit pricey, but THE BEST Thanksgiving traditional pumpkin and apple pies - been using them for years!!! People are just lovely; get a convenient set time for pickup the Wednesday before; BUT please remember to bring CASH - credit card purchases slow down the checkout process and probably cut into their profit as well as a small local business. read more

Everything here is amazing. The biscotti or some of the best I've ever had in my life outside of Italy. They always have fresh and delicious baked goods and their apples are amazing too. The prices are extremely reasonable. They don't give you plastic bags so make sure you bring your own. read more

What a cute little place. Tucked on a backroad in Coopersburg, Pa, this store is a little gem. Their scones are moist but still flakey. Ginger snap cookies are a fun nod to Fall. Good variety and fresh apples straight from their orchard. read more

First and foremost one misconception needs to be dealt with. A reviewer or two mentions that this place is an orchard which technically it is but that's not the bread and butter (per the owner) that keeps this farm in business. No, being an orchard as the owner put it is just a "nice hobby" because what pays the bills are the turkeys which are kept across the street from the orchard. Every year they sell over 130,000 and that's what keeps the barn doors open. Now of course you're not coming to the farm store to buy a bird or coming on farm tour weekend expecting to see where they're kept but when you see the owner sitting on a hay bale petting a turkey Dr. Evil style, you ask some questions. Now with that out of the way, let me say that everything we experienced during our time on farm tour weekend was first rate. * Nice displays about the impending "new hobby" business which is hard cider (hopefully it will be successful but it's going to be hard topping what the guys from Hardball are doing at Elvern Farms). * The aforementioned turkey petting area. * A tour of the apple wash/sort machine which is awesomely held together with duct tape in spots but still purrs like a kitten. * A peek into the apple storage cooler which has a scent to it that Yankee Candle would kill to be able to replicate. * A wagon ride down to their new orchard area which also showed off plenty of room for future expansion. * Of course saving the best for last, the retail store which should honestly be selling insulin chasers because it is a sugary delight in there. All good stuff in there especially some of the names like Apple Dapple which I guess were named by Babu from the 70's Jeannine cartoon. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeannie_(TV_series). FWIW, I didn't buy any of their cider because they pasteurize it which contrary to what you're told at the farm, definitely effects the flavor but whatever. This is not a PYO operation so if you're looking for one of those you'll need to go elsewhere but what they've got here is some excellent year round baked good action and lots of produce to buy at their store. A well stocked shop! Everything beautifully presented, homemade, fresh, local, and a lot more variety than I was expecting. From apple cider to several different hard ciders... Many just baked pies, breads, danishes and other treats. Local milk, and of course their own fruit for sale from their orchard...so glad I stopped! read more

Came here today on Fat Tuesday because the hubby wanted Fastnachts. I'm not big on stuff like that (don't care for donuts and most pastries), but that brownie was calling my name! A chocolate brownie with chocolate frosting, chocolate sprinkles, and a wedge of dark chocolate on top!!! It's a very decadent brownie, so pace yourself when you're eating it. Anyway, the folks were friendly and the place clean. Getting there was a bit of a challenge because the roads are twisty and hilly. I'm not from this area so it might not bother others. I'll be back in the late spring and summer so I can try other items, but it was a nice little place! read more

Okay I want to start off by saying I absolutely LOVE Lisa's Kitchen and Pappy's Orchard. I have been coming here basically since it opened but I do not actually live in the are.. my Mom has a summer cottage about 2 miles up the road so I visit often and let me tell you this place might be a bit hard to find if you're not used to the area, but well worth the challenges of getting there. I think if there was a good sign on 663 you might find it easier. Once you get there, HAVE PIE!! Lisa makes a killer apple and zucchini bread so try those as well. I also special order coconut cake with frosting which I live for. My honey and I also recently tried Lisa's Chicken Croquettes, GET THEM! Enjoy the ride guys it's so worth it !! Only gave it 3 stars because while the baked goods were good, calling it Lisa"s Kitchen made us think it was a restaurant that served breakfast and lunch at least. We went out of our way and it's in the middle of no where. We probably won't be returning. read more

We stopped here while on a lazy day trip and loaded up on sweets: pumpkin pie, shoofly pie, scones, peanut butter cookies, a brownie. It's all good. The double peanut butter cookies are your usual PB cookies with crumbled peanut butter cups on top. We got them fresh from the oven. Oh, my. The pumpkin pie is as good as any homemade pie I've had. I've never had homemade shoofly, but this version is better than any bakery shoofly I've tried, largely because of the crust. The crusts are perfect and correct---flaky, tender, melty, not the usual sturdy overbaked crumbly commercial crust. The scones are nice, but a little sweet. The brownie is quite good. Next time we'll try the pound cake, the apple cake, the funny cake (the description card says there's "chocolate goo" inside), and and and... We took ours to go, but there're a few tables and chairs in a sunny room with a coffee maker and hot water for tea, and there are toys around for kids (or whomever). Really nice people, beautiful grounds. Worth the trip! p.s. Oh yeah---it's an orchard, and all kinds of apples plus cider are available now. read more

Cute place to buy local peaches and baked goods. They had a person outside giving out peach ice cream samples which were good but had an aftertaste that reminded me of gum? They also had someone doing a cooking demo, Im not sure what time he was starting his demo but when I was there no one was watching...Also you cant pick your own peaches, which I understand but would've been fun. I tasted a peach dumpling which was decent. It would've been better if the peach was cooked more, it still had a crunch to it. read more

What a place to visit after starting a diet! Loads of delicious looking baked goods. Good selection of fresh apples at good prices. Bought a few jars of butters (fruit) as gifts and one for myself. I highly recommend the Apple butter. Decent prices, friendly service. Very nice area, not sure if you can wander the fields or not. Right off the main road but low traffic. Worth a stop if you're closely and enjoy orchards. Small store but full of good products. I would stop by again when in the area. read more

While visiting my sisters I stopped here one day while taking a walk and purchased a shoofly pie for my sister it being a favorite of hers. My sister and I both agree that it was the best pie of this type we ever had including the ones we have bought at Amish farm markets. Highly recommend this bakery. Try the cookies and Jewish apple cake equally as good. read more
