For the last 10 years, I have picked my own berries, apples, etc., and bought fruits and vegetables numerous times per year at Bobwhites Acres. Everything is fresh and top quality for a cheaper price than in grocery stores. Employees are very friendly and helpful to everyone, who asks for advice about their products. Once, I overpaid for something, but I said nothing, since they work hard and I considered it as a donation (they deserve it). We started off just getting peaches, but have since picked blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and apples as well! This is a nice place for pick your own fruits. People were smoking pot while I was picking, which I did not love. There were lots of kids picking with parents/grandparents. In late June, there are tons of berries, but only about 1/3 are ripe. I gathered about 4 quarts and the are delicious! read more

I felt the need to update as we haven't been peach picking in a few years due to the weather impact. This is not unique to Bob White but have observed peach picking has been minimal at other locations as well. On the other hand, we have been making return trips for strawberries, blueberries, and apples! Strawberries - smells like heaven in the field, which is large and spacious. The rows are neat, but the path to get there is a little uneven so no strollers allowed. You park at the same place for peach picking and cross the road, walk 50-100 meters to the strawberry field. There is only a porta-potty at the parking lot and a small stand to pay for the fruit. Blueberries - Turn in where the farm stand is near the top of the hill. Drive across the lot to the far side for blueberry picking. Quite a number of rows so never had a problem feeling crowded at all. I don't love blueberries but I'll gobble up fresh blueberries for sure! Apples - It seems one specific party had one specific incident here so I'll say for my experience, it has always been very clear and obvious what apples to pick and not pick. Not sure how to confuse them because different apple types literally look different. It's just courtesy to follow directions and respect the hard work that goes into preparing and maintaining areas for PYO. I never had any issues with the staff - they always were polite and courteous and helpful with questions about the fruit itself (differences between types, what they taste like, good uses for them). The website and automated phone message is always very clear on what types are available for PYO, purchase at the stand, or both. There are wagons and pre-lined buckets for picking (seems you go to the cashier to ask for a bucket - previous years you just grabbed them from the back). Some apples are on the same side of the farm stand, and some are across the road. For picking on the same side of the stand, just realize you will be pulling your full apple wagon up the hill when you're done. This farm offers such a large variety of apples that there is surely something for everyone. There is a porta-potty near the farm stand, as well as a hand-washing stand (running water, soap, paper towels) which is nice. Lastly, CASH ONLY. The prices can't be beat here. Extremely RUDE, RECKLESS and UNSAFE on their equipment! My family and I (6-year-old, 4-year-old and 3-month-old) picked apples and purchased a few other items in the store. Then we walked down to the little creek about 50ft from where we picked apples and an older guy on a UTV raced down, locked on his brakes, kicked up a bunch of gravel and started yelling at us because we were looking at the creek. I told him he needs to drive slower and safer since there are families around. Then a woman came over to me and started yelling saying you can't go over there like it was illegal to look at the creek. The entire staff was ganging up on me and my family because we went over to the creek. No signs posted, nothing roped off. DO NOT GO HERE! THEY ARE NOT FAMILY ORIENTED AND THE OWNERS ARE RUDE, RECKLESS, UNSAFE AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR FAMILY. All other farms we've been to the farmers come out and teach the kids and are proud of what they do and most importantly do not speed around on their equipment while there are children around. This woman is the rudest woman I have ever met! This was our FIFTH and LAST YEAR ever coming to Bob Whites Acres. When we got to the stand to pay for our apples she literally started screaming (mind you, I have 2 small children with me) about how she's calling the cops on us if we don't pay double for picking the wrong apples. My husband walked her down to the row that we picked from, while she screamed at him the entire time so loudly we heard her from the stand, to show her exactly where we picked our apples from - THE ROWS WITH THE PINK RIBBONS. This woman is a disgrace and should not be running a business. My family and I will never return because of the way we were just treated. read more

Great spot for pick-your-own with a great selection of varieties of apples as well as other gourds and vegetables, and cider, for purchase. Prices are great-- way less than you'll find in the grocery store with the added fun of having chosen it yourself and plucked it right from the tree. Bob White Acres (aka Bobwhite Acres) is a PIY fruit farm that can be a little difficult to find but is well worth the effort. I wasn't driving and I'm terrible at directions so.. Mapquest and cross your fingers! At the moment it's strawberry season and we just picked some good ones for a low low $1.50 a pound. The whole area smelled like strawberries.. pretty tasty stuff. My family has been coming here for at least 10 years. We make the trek out from Lansdale to come and pick apples every year. The people who work here are incredibly kind, and are always helpful with the "I picked 60 lbs of apples and how am I going to get them back to my car?" connundrum. They also have a pumpkin patch that you have to take a cute little hay ride to, which is always delightful. I hope Bob White is open for many years to come! Maybe one year I'll come in the summer for strawberry and blueberry picking. read more

I've been to many orchards with my family. A great way to get fresh food, spend time with each other, and have a great experience outdoors. Bob white has been a family tradition since I was little and now I take my girls here. Bob white is different than other orchards for many reasons. First driving here is like a tour in the country with winding roads old barn and church architecture, mountain views and rolling hills. When you arrive the staff is friendly and give you tips on picking. Price point is lower than most places and the orchard is well laid out so if a few family's are there you can still have a personal experience. Picking apples and peaches are great because they have these old carts that hold the baskets rather than pulling around a plastic bag like other places. And the views in the orchard are beautiful looking down hill into the Lehigh valley. I usually bring lunch and we picnic right in the orchard (and enjoy a peach or two in the process). When you're done go visit coopersburg, limport, Bethlehem, or the promenade shops. All close to here. read more

We live close by and come here a lot. we pick strawberrie, blueberries, peaches and apples. LOVE the apples with hayride to the pumpkin patch. Golden delicious was our favorite for years. This year they had one called Romeo, nearest anyone knows it is a cross between red- and yellow delicious and are the BEST apples we ever ate. you can buy apples at the pack house past Christmas usually. We are grateful to live so close and the ladies that run the pay shed are always nice. Don't forget to get the Apple cider slushies for the kids during Apple season. read more

The owners/staff were Not wearing masks. They were rude & demanded we pay $60 for 2 small baskets of apples. They were loud, yelling at customers & demanded that a family leave because their youngest son threw 1 rotten apple into the road. The fruit was ok but there were more rotten apples then good. The staff is made up of a bunch of rude individuals that firstly weren't wearing makes And worst of all isn't afraid to cause a scene if you piss them off. My younger brother threw a rotten apple on the ground in sight of one of the men on staff. The man rode over to my family on an ATV and screamed at us and told us we had to leave. As we were leaving we were leaving the apples we picked at the entrance. Why would we pay for a product for people that just screamed at us to leave? As we were leaving another lady stopped us and told us we HAVE to pay for the apples as we picked them. Families were looking over as another staff member screamed at us to pay. We had about 15 lbs of apples and they charge 1.50 for a pound. My father who was extremely upset tried to just give them 20 bucks so we could go on with our day. Instead the two staff members demanded we give them sixty dollars to pay for the apples. So not only did they cause a scene to make us leave but we had to pay for it as well. If my father wasn't so upset I would've told him to just take my family and leave. When my dad had to get more money to pay these rude individuals they made me and my girlfriend stay with them so we wouldn't run off without paying for their overpriced apples. So to summarize go to strawberry acres for a much better time unless you want to watch two idiots force you to pay them money like gang members. read more

Fantastic plump blueberries today. Staff is always fantastic. Thought 5 lbs was enough before we started shoveling them in.

This is the 3rd year we've been coming to pick pumpkins and apples. A bit disappointed this last round since apple type selection was limited for the day of our visit. I strongly suggest calling first to hear what fields are open prior to making the trek so you are not disappointed by the offering of the day. Otherwise thus is a great farm off the beaten path. I wish there were negative stars because that is what this place deserves. They treated my family horribly today. Not only was the women at the stand NOT wearing her mask but she screamed and yelled at my family (which included a PETRIFIED two year old and four year old). She threatened to call the cops which scared the life out of the kids - and all because she said they picked apples from the wrong place. She made them show her where they picked - THE PINK RIBBONS which is exactly where they were told to pick. She not only screamed but she cursed and asked my son in law if he was "f___ing stupid" in front of not only the kids but an entire line of other people. She tried to charge them double for picking the wrong apples. My grandchildren are so worried that the cops are going to be waiting for them when they get home. What is wrong with this woman? My family has been going here for the past five years but this will be the LAST TIME EVER. We have called and left messages to try to speak to a manager or owner about the way this woman treated my family so far no response. read more

I've driven by several times so far this season (summer 2015) and it appears they are out of business-road side stand closed and looks like it won't be open. This is a real shame considering they had the BEST corn and produce in this area. I would stop by several times a week to get corn, peaches and pick your own tomatoes and other produce. Just went to Bob white acres today 8/28/15. I picked 22 lbs of the most juicy delicious peaches ever. They are not closed. Open Sat 10-4pm. Not sure of other hours just call. Plan to go back and pick apples. Best upick place on earth! read more

The people are so friendly and helpful, the area is beautiful and the produce is the best!
