They grow a large selection of trees so there is something for everyone. The staff can direct you to the area that has the tree type and size that you're looking for, making it easy to find some good choices. Palmers supplies the saw, and there are some tree carts available to help you move your tree to the tree binding machine. I recommend that you bring a tape measure, ribbon to mark trees that you are deciding between, warm work gloves, and a canvas painting tarp to help you carry your tree (rather than dragging it on the ground, in case you can't find a tree cart). I bring ratchet tie-downs to strap the tree to the roof rack on our van, but Palmers supplies vinyl twine for you. After years at another tree farm we decided to give Palmers a look last year. We found that their trees are better organized, properly spaced for uniform growth and a good 360 view, planted logically together on mostly level terrain, and expertly shaped by their staff. The staff is friendly and helpful. Palmers is now our annual destination for a perfect Christmas tree.

I didn't have the time to walk the property for a tree to cut, but when I asked about Blue Spruce, they said they have a bunch, out back, just walk and cut one!!!! OH BOY!!!! Blue Spruce is my guy. No one carries them, very few grow them, I can NOT wait for next year, I will 100% be back and cutting my 9' Blue!!!!!!! And just a couple miles off Rt 80, on and off!!!

There was a great variety of trees, the details can be found on their website. It's very organized upon arrival with workers who show you where to park and point out the areas of different trees. I love how they put tree carts and hand saws all throughout the farm, so they are easily accessible. The trees are nicely spaced out so they are able to grow. They seem very healthy! We purchased blue spruce, and were very happy with their selection. There are many areas blocked off, I assume since they are still growing and need to mature. It's probably best they do this, to ensure proper growth and health of the trees. They have a cute store with freshly made wreaths, and all things Christmas related! It was SO cute! I'll be sure to purchase my trees and wreaths here moving fwd. The prices are a little higher than what we are use too, but I assume it's because of the care they provide to the trees and quality. Worth it to us. FYI- There are no dogs allowed or electric saws. They accept credit cards, which was nice as we didn't have cash. They shake, wrap and drill a hole into the trees. It wasn't easy finding trees over 9 feet. but we found it.. it cost $267. There are popular sprayed trees as well. Keep in mind they don't allow tailgating which isn't good considering we are coming 2 hours away and everyone is hungry. Apparently a few customers ruined it for the masses. When we called up to ask about what could have gone wrong and buying new trees, the owner spend 30 minutes on the phone helping us diagnose the issue. He then invited us down and asked to take a dead tree. When we went he helped diagnose the issue which was related to our landscaper planting them too deep. The bark was underground and caused the tree to die. He helped us pick new trees out which were so much better and more cost effective versus the local shops nearby. He was so helpful - wish more businesses took this level of pride in their work or provided this level of customer service. A++++

None of the places we've gone to in previous years (Sears parking lot, Main Street in Milltown, etc.) were set up. I know it was raining, and rain can deter tree shoppers, but Thanksgiving was late this year, so not only is it quite common for people to get their tree sometime during the holiday weekend, but Christmas is only about 3 weeks away -- so where were all the trees?!? We decided to drive around and see if we could find any place that was selling trees. We almost drove right past the sign for Harris Farm, but, boy oh boy, am I glad we didn't! What a great selection of super fresh trees! And despite the fact that it was cold and raining cats and dogs, the young men who greeted and helped us were warm and sunny. The tree prices are reasonable ($49) and actually less than what I thought a "farm tree" would cost. I still can't explain why there were no Christmas trees to be found the weekend after Thanksgiving, but this bizarre day led us to the farm we'll definitely go to for our tree from now on.

We considered waiting with the tree but the young man in the field advised that the tractor would be arriving in minutes. As we were easily within the first 20 people waiting for tree to be cut and bundled. Waited well over an hour before locating the so called "manager" to try and locate the tree. Apparently there was an entire wagon of missing trees as we were not alone waiting for tress in the same number sequence. Not a thing was done to attempt and resolve the issue. The gentleman (not really a gentleman) was actually the owners father. Told us quite rudely "look how busy we are". Well it wasn't busy at 930 when the tree should have been at the station netted and ready to go. Over two hours wait first thing in the morning is unacceptable. This place is completely unorganized and owned by the rudest and people. They actually pulled the facebook reviews down! Concerned only about counting their cash instead of providing a great customer experience. Will never go back again. And based on other reviews I'm not alone in my assessment. We went the weekend after Thanksgiving, but opted to wait for the Sunday and Monday when there were less people. The staff are so friendly and ask what you are looking for so they can explain each tree and recommend one based on height and other criteria. They provide a saw and a cart to bring the tree back and shaking and baling the tree is included in the price. There are plenty of options. We got a 7ft Canaan last year and an 8ft Fraser and 6ft Canaan this year. Free hot chocolate, wreaths, tree bags, and their annual ornament for sale are the icing on the cake. Though I miss the adventures of the Christmas Tree Farm in Chicago, this one is pretty nice. We will be back next year.
