Dave and Lynn Beck are good family friends so even though there are 3 or 4 other tree farms close by, we always go to Beck's. It is a tradition to go after church on a Sunday afternoon and pick our tree. Um, most people drive home with their tree tied to the roof of their car. My family is NOT like most people. Dad feels it's much easier to uh, drive our John Deere tractor/wagon here and load it up in the wagon so we can forgo the hassle of tying it to our car. It's been a little different since my brother and I left the nest as the tree is usually up when we get home from Penn State or DC, respectively. When I moved to DC and bought a fresh tree 2 years ago, I was astounded by the $50 price tag. A 4-5 foot tree for $50!? Not the case at Beck's. I believe the price is between $40-45 for a 6 or 7 foot tree which is amazing. Beck's also has a huge pile of garland behind the barn that patrons are free to take as much as they want. Mom usually takes a few pieces to assemble mini trees that she puts on our front porch as decorations. Go to Beck's for your Christmas trees. It's worth it. Seems like it was located in a large cul-de-sac in the middle of a residential area. Not much parking so be patient Good spot. Very friendly people and efficient with getting your tree set up and tied on your car. They move fast and you're in and out after you pay. The tree we picked was perfect. Service was professional and worth giving extra tips.

All of the employees were extremely nice and the farm was lit up and decorated beautifully. The choices of food and drinks (alcohol and nonalcoholic) were great. Each food and beverage option was clearly thought out by the owners to make their guests get into the Autumn and Halloween season. There is a gift shop that is filled with country items and different little knickknacks and tasty bites. You enter through the store, so I would recommend buying your stuff before your night begins so they do not run out of stock. There were fires pits and a band that played all night. The band was perfect! They were not loud and just played the right type of music for the atmosphere. I have been to a lot of outside venues like this one and the bands are either too loud or play music that is "just not right". The band Pierson's had was very low key but were excellent musicians and the lead singer had a great voice and their choice of songs were perfect for the atmosphere. The prices for drinks, food and gift shop items are in line with prices at other events of this type in the area. Thank you Pierson's staff and owners for providing such a great event. The 8' MONSTER I picked up (they had it in the barn already) was without a doubt the fullest, most beautiful tree I have had in my 35 years of getting fresh trees. I didn't have the time to walk the property for a tree to cut, but when I asked about Blue Spruce, they said they have a bunch, out back, just walk and cut one!!!! OH BOY!!!! Blue Spruce is my guy. No one carries them, very few grow them, I can NOT wait for next year, I will 100% be back and cutting my 9' Blue!!!!!!! And just a couple miles off Rt 80, on and off!!!

When we called up to ask about what could have gone wrong and buying new trees, the owner spend 30 minutes on the phone helping us diagnose the issue. He then invited us down and asked to take a dead tree. When we went he helped diagnose the issue which was related to our landscaper planting them too deep. The bark was underground and caused the tree to die. He helped us pick new trees out which were so much better and more cost effective versus the local shops nearby. He was so helpful - wish more businesses took this level of pride in their work or provided this level of customer service. A++++

We went the weekend after Thanksgiving, but opted to wait for the Sunday and Monday when there were less people. The staff are so friendly and ask what you are looking for so they can explain each tree and recommend one based on height and other criteria. They provide a saw and a cart to bring the tree back and shaking and baling the tree is included in the price. There are plenty of options. We got a 7ft Canaan last year and an 8ft Fraser and 6ft Canaan this year. Free hot chocolate, wreaths, tree bags, and their annual ornament for sale are the icing on the cake. Though I miss the adventures of the Christmas Tree Farm in Chicago, this one is pretty nice. We will be back next year.

Second we also went on this special day because they had Newfoundland dogs bring your tree back for you which was a wonderful experience and we too loads of pictures with the dogs. Finally they have an outdoor fireplace to sit and warm up a bit and enjoy hot coco and other snacks and a gift shop to purchase something to remember it all.
