I am writing in hopes of saving you 2-4 hours and some headaches. Overall, NCL was good. But the…read morePhoto Gallary was a downer. I recommend staying away from the Photo Gallery on Norwegian Cruise Lines. I regretfully spent over 4 hours of time in the buying process. I am now thinking that it is better to take your photos home and print your own locally. It will take less time. I paid over $370 for 5 pictures ($150), a hard cover photo book upload service ($85) and Iris Pics ($189) Each service had problems. Now the people who work there were fabulous. Please do not think anything negative about the workers in the store, including the manager. The problems are deeper in this company and need higher management to address. The problems are integrity in advertising and a process that misleads you on hpw much time you will have to give up on your vacation. Each pitch for each service I bought used enough overstatement and deception in both the artistic and verbal presentation that I as the customer did not receive nor experience the service so described. I think customers have a right to know the true quality of the service provided. If you still want what they actually provide and look past the deceptive advertising and verbal claims, then you can make your purchase with full knowledge of what you are buying. The Iris photo ads have vibrant colors, blue, brown, green. The actual product comes out mostly grey with an unrequested explanation about how the picture really represents your eyes. My eyes are blue green. My girlfriend has green eyes. Our pictures look nothing like the ads on promanent display next to the eye camera machine and nothing like how our eyes actually look to other people The photo book upload service was promised to be easy and well done by AI. "Simple, quick, easily edited, great results. My girlfiend spent an hour gathering pictures and two hours in the photo gallery getting frustrated that AI chose so poorly and because it was impossible to resize or crop pictures that AI chose. It is better and easier and more fun to use another online service. Maybe you want the NCL stock photos in the book, but you can purchase expecting it to absorb 3 hours of your time with technical challenges The 5 pictures promised us a digital copy. For $150, i was thinking i would receive a thumb drive. Instead they give you a QR code to goto their website and download your pictures. Sounds simple, like 5 min tops. But the process took me 30 min because the website has some nonuser friendly steps and pop ups. At $30 per picture, i think the customer service should include actually delivering the product to me as advertised and verbally promised, not making me deliver it to myself. This company fails in the areas of integrity in marketing, product delivery and meeting the expectations they create in the customer. The business model puts too much work on the customer for the prices charged. We ended up at the photo gallery at least 5 times including several evenings after 8pm to pick up photo hard copies. I would rather have done a piano bar, karaoke, or a theater performance with my time. Why not deliver the photos to the room? I think the reason they get away with such a misdescribed process and exaggerated promises is because the cruise ship delivers you to them in a captive pool of customers. They set up photo shoots as you board to suck you into the process. Most cruisers only shop once and do not want to take more time from enjoying their vacation to address the issues for future guests. So I want to get this information to you before you take the cruise. I hope to save you 2-4 hours of headache. And yet, you are free to spend the money and get the pics if you do not mind the time it takes or the experience being less than promised. For some, money does not matter. For some, time does not matter. If you do not have a camera, maybe you will love the experience and value the pics. If you do have options, i recommend exercising your options. Have more fun. Avoid some frustration. Bon Voyage.

I booked the Mount Rainer National Park Day Tour and went on May 10, 2026. Overall, I'm glad I did…read morethis tour and I did enjoy the experience, but I think it's important for future travelers, especially non-hikers or people unfamiliar with winter mountain conditions, to understand what this tour can realistically feel like during the snowy season. First, Mount Rainier itself is absolutely beautiful, and I'm happy I got to experience snowshoeing for the first time. That ended up being the highlight of the day for me. However, if you are booking this tour during spring/winter conditions, understand that weather, fog, and road closures can significantly impact visibility and access to some of the more iconic viewpoints around the park. In my case, many areas were still inaccessible due to snow, and visibility at Paradise was limited by fog. Because of that, the snowshoeing portion became the main attraction of the day. While the snowshoeing is technically optional, I personally feel that if I had skipped it, the tour would have felt much less worthwhile since some of the scenic overlooks and mountain views were limited by conditions. I also want to mention that the "introductory snowshoe trail" was much more physically demanding than I expected. If you are not used to hiking in snow or at elevation, be prepared for uphill climbing, snow traction gear, trekking poles, and a decent amount of exertion. I was definitely winded and tired during portions of it. Outdoorsy people may consider this beginner-level, but if you're coming in as more of a casual traveler, just know that this can still feel strenuous depending on conditions. One thing future guests should also know is that group pacing during the snowshoe portion may feel challenging for slower walkers or less experienced hikers. During my tour, the trainee guide led the group uphill while the primary guide didn't join us and remained behind, and the group became fairly spread out at times during the snowy incline sections. Personally, I would have appreciated stronger pacing management and more rear support/sweeping during portions of the hike, especially given the terrain and visibility conditions. I've already provided this feedback directly to the company because I think improved group support during the snowshoe portion would make the experience more comfortable and accessible for a wider range of guests. That said, I'm still glad I pushed myself and did it because it was a unique experience and something I had never done before. The old-growth forest portion later in the day was nice and relaxing, but compared to the snowshoeing and mountain scenery, it felt more secondary. Food-wise, I'd recommend bringing extra snacks or even your own sandwich (I planned to bring a sandwich but forgot to pack it) if you have dietary preferences or are expecting a more traditional lunch. The provided lunch was healthy and accommodating to dietary restrictions, but personally it wasn't very satisfying after a physically active morning and I ended up skipping it. Overall, I think this tour is best for travelers who: - want an active outdoor experience - are okay with changing weather and seasonal limitations - are open to moderate physical activity - understand that winter/spring tours may differ significantly from summer photos online Even with some critiques, I'm still happy I went and I do think it was a memorable experience.

I lost an irreplaceable rod on a river yesterday. I never would have found it without the incredible help of Muaaz, one of the staff members, who was so exceedingly caring and attentive that he voluntarily managed to track down the person who grabbed it from the bank. Thank you, Muaaz! Many fly shops are intimidating. Most are uncomfortable to hang out in. Plenty of them employ "experts" who are outright disdainful and rude to customers who don't know what they're doing. Most other shops aren't designed to foster a real community, let alone bring a positive force to the larger community of the neighborhood. There isn't a single employee here who won't go above and beyond for you, whether you're an absolute novice, intermediate to expert angler, or just have a friend or family member who's into fly fishing. Need a gift for the angler in your life? Curious about why people are so obsessed with this sport? Want to understand why matching a rod with the appropriate reel, line, leader, and tippet seems so complicated? Want to know if that piece of equipment is really worth the price tag? Maybe you don't really need anything, but you'd like to hang out in a comfortable space designed for customers like you to relax and socialize. Maybe you're tinkering with the idea of getting into fly tying but have no idea where to start. Or perhaps you could really use some expert advice based extensive experience -- without being told you have to buy $2,000 worth of whatever. If any of the above rings a bell, this is the place. No upselling, no uptight attitudes, no joke. This place is invested in making a real contribution to the community of West Seattle. If you live closer to another shop, give this one a shot. It's worth the trip, and you might not go back to that other place. The junction is lucky to have EWA at their new location on California Ave. I shop here instead of buying directly from vendors because there's no price gouging or elitist vibe, and because I honestly want this business to thrive. Most of the other customers who frequent this place do too. Moving this shop from 42nd and Oregon to the heart of the junction took an enormous group effort. There's a good reason so many of its customers volunteered to help with whatever was needed. There are also plenty of good reasons I've spent this much of my time and this many words writing a yelp review. Come see what all this fuss is about.
