I called three carpet cleaning companies two weeks ago to get our carpets cleaned before Thanksgiving company arrived this week. I made the decision to use Myles because of our initial discussion over the phone. He was pleasant and secondly, he was going to be there himself to work on my carpet versus hiring a crew to perform the work. He arrived a few minutes late but called ahead to let me know which I appreciated. His assistant, Jared was on-time and waiting outside until Myles arrived. They got to work right away and started with the three bedrooms before tackling the den and living room last. The carpets look great, something I should have done before moving in in 2004. The total time from start to finish was about 2.25 hours and I am very happy with the results. Myles and Jared were very friendly, professional and reasonably priced. Myles and his assistant cleaned the carpeting in our upstairs areas today. Even though we knew going in that a lot of the food and pet stains were probably not going to come out, the carpet looks a lot less grimy and a lot more fluffy than it did before being cleaned. Myles quote was also lower than several other quotes we received. He was on time, professional and efficiently got the hoses upstairs and back out without anything leaking anywhere (which is a definite concern when your house has 109 year old hardwood floors). I just had my vintage couch reupholstered. It looked amazing, for less than 24 hours until my bf accidentally spilled red wine on it. In my dispair and confusion I tried to clean it with water and this evil product called Folex, which only made it worse. I called a bunch of people and ended up chosing Myles because he and his wife were so professional and thorough on the phone. Myles showed up on time and worked on the couch for 2 hours! When he was done he called me out to show me the results and explain the work. Apparently in the sunlight if you tilt your head to the left and bend at a 45 degree angle you can still see the outline of the stain. My year 18th month old daughter decided to discover what Pepto Bismol would look like on a beige carpet. After I tried both Resolve and Hydrogen Peroxide to no avail I gave Myles a call. He told me that both chemicals having different tactics on removing stains probably neutralized each other because I didn't rinse the stain in between, not to mention that the chemicals in Pepto would possibly make it near to impossible to remove fully. He was schedule to come over and take a look at the stain when he gave me a suggestion to try a home remedy first and see fi that worked. NATURE wins again, not only did it work but the cost to remove the stain the natural way was pretty much around $.50 to do. Selfless and helpful and a stand up guy, I would give this man my business in a heartbeat because he didn't have to share the information with me and pass up a buck, which he knew may not have the result I wanted. I can not speak on his work but his work ethic is amazing and that in itself will have me call this man when it is time to get our entire apartment cleaned, wall to wall carpeting.
