Stacy was spectacular in nailing which range and which dishwasher would work in our small home. After visiting numerous appliance places that were not very helpful, or didn't have anything in stock, a friend recommended APD. APD is absolutely the place to go for high-end appliances and everything that goes with them. Why? Because Stacy is hands-down the best in the business and will be with you start-to-finish. She just helped me through replacement of a built-in, paneled refrigerator for which the same model was no longer made. Stacy identified a Miele model that would fit in the tight configuration of my kitchen, but would require extra effort to make it work. She then called in favors from the installers who might have otherwise refused the job. Stacy jumped in to assist with the pre-install efforts and final installation. I don't know of any other appliance dealer who would provide this level of service. I certainly wouldn't have received it from a high volume, transaction-focused dealer. read more

I don't know where to begin. I found APD while looking for appliances for a kitchen remodel at my moms house. The first time I walked into APD I was just sort of browsing after having already been to Pacific Sales (their yelp ratings is pretty accurate http://www.yelp.com/biz/pacific-sales-kitchen-bath-and-electronics-torrance). I had heard commercials on the radio for Pacific Sales for years, and decided it would be a good place to begin shopping for the kitchen appliances. Boy was I wrong--we spent half an hour just waiting around to be helped, then one someone was ready to "help" us, he just pointed us in the direction of the Sub Zero refrigerators. Needless to say we quickly left Pacific Sales--taking our business with us. After the debacle that was our visit to Pacific Sales, I decided to look into other appliance stores--especially because Sub Zero mandates prices at which their products must be sold--so there really was no savings going to one of the larger companies. After a quick google search, I found APD was just down the street from my house, so I planned to go there that same day. When I arrived at APD I was met with prompt, polite service. Justina came to the door when I walked in and spent the next hour or so with me, answering every single question I could think of: What's better Viking or Wolf? Viking Vs. Sub Zero for refrigeration? What kind of hood should I get? Where should the Warming Drawer go? When does the new model of Sub Zero fridge come out? My first visit to APD was sometime in August 2011, but because of delays in construction we didn't actually order the appliances from them until around February or March 2012, taking delivery in April. Even though we were super early in our appliance search, Justina and everyone at APD went out of there way to keep in contact with us and check in with our construction plans. When we were finally ready to place the order and take delivery, they picked up right where we left off and even helped us change our order when Sub Zero updated their product line. We ordered our Modern Aire hood through APD, and when because of some construction mishaps, the hood was installed far too low, Justina and Stacey from APD dealt directly with Modern Aire to figure out a solution to make us happy. After numerous frantic calls to APD (where they talked us off a ledge or two), Modern Aire came out to our house to solve the problems installation issues. I guess this would be a good time for me to talk about something other than customer service. If you're planning a relatively high end remodel of any kind, they have the brands you'd want: Sub Zero/Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Bosch, Miele, Toto, Kohler. From BBQs to wine refrigerators, faucets to washing machines, they have everything you'll ever need. In case it isn't 100% clear, there aren't enough good things I can say about EVERYONE at APD. read more

I found APD on Yelp, even though a different company was personally recommended to me. They were extremely fast on their response time and diligent in their follow up. Their prices on outdoor grill items actually beat a competitor, so it was definitely a no-brainer. Both Julio and Adolfo were so pleasant to work with. There was a lot of back and forth on my end, with several questions and changing my mind. They were very patient and took the time to explain the product differences to me. Just start here and don't look back. I will never try another appliance store again, I will literally return to APD for any purchase that they may be able to address. Stacy and APD completely (and I don't say this lightly) removed the headache of appliance purchase and installation. After almost giving up due to the repeated circles I went in at Home Depot and Loews, and (don't get me started on) their third party process ... a family friend recommended I try APD. With a heavy heart I called, asked for Stacy and was stunned when she was available (when does that ever happen) and with how easy she and her team made the process not to mention how efficiently they executed. I did not even have to brave traffic to set foot in the store. APD should be the business model framework for any appliance retailer. This was an outstanding experience. I knew what I wanted when I called APD, and it was a pleasure to talk to Stacy who expedited the purchasing for my new built-in microwave. The pricing was excellent and I had an appointment to install the next week. There was a slight hiccup in installation as things can change slightly in the same model over 15 years, but the installers were flexible and knowledgeable enough to use a part from the the old installation combined with the new insert to make it fit. She worked with my schedule for installation and sent Eddie and Ray who did a fantastic job. They were on time, friendly, neat and protected my wood floors from scratches and dents. A wise person told me "Your fridge needs to run non-stop without fail for 10+ years so buy a really good one" so when it was time for a new fridge we decided on Sub-Zero. A neighbor recommended we check out APD. My husband was skeptical as he's more "let's buy from some shady retailer in NY and save on tax and have it shipped" blah blah blah. He was concerned we'd be over-spending by going to a nice retailer with a showroom in a nice part of town. I don't know if we could have saved a little money by buying elsewhere, but the white glove service provided by Stacy and APD was unparalleled and gave me confidence in my purchase. Stacy helped us pick out a Sub-Zero unit that fit our needs. She let us know SZ would be raising their prices soon (true--not a ploy) so we were able to save some money by buying in Feb even though we didn't need delivery until the summer. We purchased a panel-ready 36 inch french door fridge with water spigot inside and freezer drawer on bottom. Stacy stored the fridge for us for months which was a huge help. She was professional, quick with replies, and incredibly knowledgeable. There were some issues on our side with the install and panels and her installers were wonderful throughout the entire process which required three different visits. Should anything ever go wrong with our fridge I am very glad I have APD to turn to. The only thing I would do differently is get a 42 inch because the shelving allows more options. Was looking to purchase new plumbing fixtures for a master bathroom and kitchen remodel. I did a lot of research online and went to a few different stores to see the fixtures in person. Once I decided what I wanted, I shopped around looking for the best price. What you'll quickly realize is that if you're looking for the high-end brands, there really isn't much discounting on the Internet. The price you get from Wayfair or Build.com (assuming they carry them) isn't that much cheaper than you can get from a local retailer. You can take a chance with an eBay seller but if something is wrong with the part, good luck getting them to take it back or having the manufacturer honor the warranty. I found APD via Yelp and gave them a call. Adolfo picked up the phone and gave me a quote right away. No hassle. No hard sell. After trying a few other stores, Adolfo's price was the best and APD is an authorized retailer for all the brands I was looking for. I purchased the products via e-mail and Adolfo kept me updated on the progress throughout the process. When my fixtures were in, I picked them up at the store. First time I ever set foot in there. Was in and out in less than five minutes. The whole process was quick and easy. Would highly recommend using APD. read more

Our contractor referred us to APD in 2000, and turned us on to Stacy and her staff. She knows products and vendors inside and out, and was a font of really helpful opinions and options. She turned us on to rebate deals, and offered to hold products we ordered but couldn't yet take delivery on - that saved us a lot of money while we were in the midst of a reconstruction/remodel. Once I realized how fantastic the service was and how knowledgeable the staff was, it was easy for me to decide to order everything we could through APD. And as we've wanted to add things or needed replacement parts, they have continued to remember us (wow) and provide the same high quality of service. When I started shopping for prices, I was pleased that APD was competitive. But when I factor in the service and knowledge, APD is an even better value.
