PAL Painting floated to the top based on their Yelp rating and their competetive bid and also being local to our location in Chandler. Once we selected our color scheme and got approval from the HOA, the guys at PAL got to work. The house was given a proper power wash first, then the painting started a couple days later. Adam, Nevada, along with Bernie the job foreman, and the rest of the crew, did outstanding and professional work completing the job very timely. As the painting progressed, an issue on our roof came up due to a past microburst that swept through the neighborhood that we were aware of but had not yet addressed. Nevada assessed the issue and quoted a very reasonable fix and completed the fix along with his son, and now our roof looks and functions better and we are ready for anything the monsoon season throws at us. The final bill was exactly as quoted. We could not be happier with the work performed and the house looks great! Highly recommended!

I check obviously for plenty of good reviews. I'm looking for professionalism, timeliness, pride in workmanship, and just overall customer satisfaction. L and R past the the reviews. Plenty of people seem satisfied. The next thing is, I check their website if they have one. Most businesses do now have some kind of online presence. Theirs was very smooth and easy to navigate. I requested a quote online, and in about 24 hours got a response. The owner, Luis, came out, climbed the roof, gave me a rundown of what to expect, should I use their services, and told me they would not contact me again or try to pressure me. They certainly followed through on that. They did send a quote. Their website makes it very easy to accept the quote and has finance options. Their contract is laid out very straightforward, full disclosure. Nothing hidden. In this online business world, where people expect more online transactional capability, you just expect businesses to offer that. But many don't, particularly in the contracting world. So, anyone who is attentive to making it easy to transact online is very focused on their business, in my experience. It's just another sign of professionalism and tells me that probably they will also be attentive during the actual construction process. That's just my general experience. It does not always hold true. But in this case, it did. After the HOA approval, I decided to use them for the roof replacement. Costs were in line with about what everyone else is charging. I paid the 50% down, and got a call from Victor the foreman to schedule replacement. They were very accommodating and got busy. There was a minor hiccup, but not their fault. The supplier delivered the wrong tiles. I'm sure that caused a bit of stress for Victor, because they have plenty of jobs scheduled. Anyway, the day after the day they were supposed to do the work, the new tiles were delivered. And then the following Monday, the tiles were loaded onto the roof. The next day they were laid and completed at the same day. I'm no roofing expert, but have some common sense. I climbed the roof before they laid the tiles just to check out their work. All the flashings were very nicely placed. Everything seemed to be high-quality. The underlayment was very nicely laid. And, each day they cleaned up pretty well. When the work was completed, they cleaned up better than I had the yard cleaned up. Victor very professional. If I need any maintenance on the roof, I definitely would consider L & R again. However, I suspect the roof will out last me and my wife.

William responded to me via Yelp and advised he would be able to stop by the same day I requested the quote which was amazing. I pointed out some of the larger cracks and he gave me a quote instantaneously. He also explained the entire process from start to finish. The whole quote process took a matter of just a few minutes and not at all inconvenient. I will be honest and got a few more quotes from other businesses in the area. Most were substantially expensive than what William quoted me and a handful were quite less. I opted to use William and his crew at WSJ Painting for several reasons: They have been in business for over 20+ years. They are family-owned and operated. He responded immediately. He knows what he's talking about. He's professional and left me a business card. Needless to say, I reached back out to William the same afternoon I got the quote from him and told him to put my wife and I on his schedule. He scheduled us just a couple of days later. It was not an emergency by any means, but it was nice to get the job over and done with. We've been saving our pennies to have this done. Our house was built in '96 and it had never been repainted. Parts of the exterior were splotchy and faded horribly by the harsh Arizona elements. They came out on the first day and power-washed the entire exterior from top to bottom. The amount of filth that came off the exterior was amazing. This process means the new paint is adhering to the house - and not a bunch of dirt. The next day, the crew was back out bright and early to prep the exterior. They carefully put plastic over all of the windows and doors. They even applied plastic to half the driveway, sidewalks and back patio pavers to be sure no overspray was present anywhere when the job was complete! They also began repair of all the minor surface cracks in the stucco (we had a lot of them!) No joke. These guys were at it from sun up to sun down. The following day, they were back on our property bright and early again to resume repair of the cracks in the stucco and also, to finish painting. They painstakingly painted our trim white (per our HOA guidelines) and then blasted the exterior with a fresh, new coat of paint! It was a toss-up between Arizona Brown, Desert Sand or HOA Beige... so we opted for the latter. Needless to say, the house and exterior look great! No more splotchy coats of half-assed paint. No more cracks in the exterior. It looks like brand new construction! The crew removed all of the plastic everywhere and disposed of all materials on their own. Extremely efficient. Very professional. Amazingly quick. A job well done, indeed! I would not at all hesitate to recommend WSJ PAINTING to my fellow friends, family, co-workers and random Internet strangers on Yelp! Thank you again to William and his crew! HIGHLY recommended!!
