The painting crew was nice but we did have a couple of things that weren't done completely. We called Charlie right away and the painting crew and Charlie were back at our house within the hour and they made everything right. You'll always have some hiccups with construction but this company is family owned and they want to make sure your very pleased. Which is why they dont ask for any payment until the job is completely finished and you are happy with the results. I would definitely use them again and will call them when we get ready to paint the interior of our home.

I hired them to perform the work and they did a fantastic job. You can't even tell that the stucco was damaged. They made it look like it never happened. Mike was very professional, efficient, and responsive. The worker who worked on my condo was super efficient and quiet. They showed up at 7am and I didn't even hear them. At first I thought no one showed up but when I went outside I saw the repair was done and a few hours after that it was all painted and looking fabulous. George also managed to get us scheduled in a timely manner that worked for both of our schedules. George carefully ensured that the brand (D&E), sheen, and (custom color) of paint that I wanted was ordered in a timely manner, ready and on-site at the start of the project. George was also was on-site during the job to supervise his crew of painters. The painters worked efficiently, taped out the trim work and covered the work area meticulously, patched/prepped as needed, and painted everything thoroughly in two coats. The wall painting is beautiful and ties our newly refreshed kitchen together! The end result is the kitchen of my dreams! After receiving four quotes, we chose them based on a recommendation and initial confidence during our consultation. Unfortunately, our experience quickly became disappointing. We met in February and scheduled a start date of March 11. We were told someone would contact us the week prior to confirm paint colors, but we never received a call and had to follow up ourselves. On day one, the foreman did a walkthrough and said they would start upstairs. Only minimal prep work was completed on two bedrooms before the crew left early, promising to return the next morning. Day two was even more concerning. Only one worker showed up, the foreman was absent, and prep work was still incomplete by midday. We also observed workers frequently leaving to vape. I will say the project manager was responsive and communicative when I reached out, and did try to address concerns. That evening, a serious incident occurred. We were alerted via our Ring camera that there was an issue involving the crew and our neighbors. When I called the foreman, he stated they were disposing of paint by digging a hole and burying it on the property. Given how close our homes are, this understandably upset our neighbors. The situation escalated into a confrontation, resulting in police being called, and the crew was told to leave. When we returned home, prep work was still unfinished, no painting had been completed, and there was trash left behind. A new crew arrived on day three and completed the job in a single day, which highlighted how inefficient the previous crew had been. However, communication remained poor at the management level. I attempted multiple times to reach a supervisor but never received a callback before the weekend. While we were eventually offered compensation, it was not proactively handled. I had to follow up myself to address and correct the compensation, which added to the frustration and made it feel like resolving the issue was not a priority. Due to managing our children and my husband working a 48-hour shift, I couldn't fully inspect everything immediately. After noticing additional incomplete work, I reached out again and received no response. We've hired many service providers over the years and have never experienced anything like this. This project caused unnecessary delays in selling our home and added significant stress. Given the cost and importance of this work, we expected far better professionalism, communication, and accountability.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was with Pal Painting! My stucco needed a lot of TLC, and the price was more reasonable than I thought it would be to prep and paint my home. From my first contact with Adam, I knew it would be good. Family business with excellent crew, everyone I encountered had enthusiasm for their work, integrity, was kind, polite, and had a good work ethic. I really trust these guys, and they are my company for life! They ONLY use top quality materials in paint, patch, caulk etc (not everyone does) and they are very knowledgeable about the materials and what is best for issues with your home. They aim to please and do 5 Star work Plus! They worked very hard on the prep, they actually went around my house twice during the stucco prep to make sure they didn't miss anything. They are organized and do everything they say they will do. Nevada texted me throughout the entire process... as to what would be happening when, who would be here at what time, to verify things, and supervise, etc. True professionals with excellent communication for the whole project. I really didn't even need to be home. Also Nevado did everything he could to make it an easy project for me. I really liked that at the completion of the job, together we did a walk around the house to make sure everything had been addressed to both of our satisfaction. Fourtheen (14) years ago, I hired Alexander M. Johnston, and sons to paint the exterior of my house. They did a fantastic job. So when I decided to repaint my house, I contacted them again. Alex and Adam promptly came out and gave me a written proposal and agreement. Alex and sons are totally professional, friendly, on time and used quality Dunn-Edwards paint. I scheduled an appointment with the Dunn-Edwards computer tech/designer, sent her a picture of my house and the possible colors I desired, then went in to actually viewed on the computer what my house looked like and then gave the color scheme to Adam. They were great assisting me with my choices. Victor started painting my house as soon as I made my final decision on the colors. Alex and Adam were on and off the site frequently during the whole process to ensure everything we talked about was done and more. I was so happy that Victor, who painted my house before was the painter this time. He is so professional, friendly, on time, his attention to detail is remarkable. Victor completed painting my house in a timely manner and thoroughly cleaned up as he went along. They powered sprayed , caulked, sanded, repaired cracks, prepared the house for painting, applied a prime coast where necessary and then applied the paint. The price was fair in 2004 and is still fair in 2018/2019. Alex, Adam and Victor are very trustworthy, accountable, professional and Really Care about giving you the Very BEST paint job possible and They DO. Victor is just AWESOME. I live out of the country and rent out my house. I needed the exterior of my house painted, plus the retaining wall around my backyard, the gate to the yard, and some interior touch up work. I initially hired someone else, but after repeated communication problems and an end result that didn't include the full scope of the work I had requested, I didn't want to go back to them. I had previously talked to Adam, and had a really hard time deciding who to go with because I liked him a lot. Since I already had a good impression, I thought I should go back to him and see if he could help out with the remainder of the work that wasn't done. He was incredibly friendly and understanding. He kept in communication with me, did what he said when he said he would do it, and everything turned out beautifully. The previous painters never told me they painted the retaining wall, so I had asked Adam to do it (I'm not there to see it myself). He was honest and told me that it had been freshly painted. He easily could have charged me for it and done nothing, and I never would have known. That is integrity! I'm really happy with how everything went and had a great experience. Simply the best. I've lived in Chandler for 25 years. I've had my house painted about 4 times and have had at least a dozen other contractors. And, I must confess, the stucco on my house was poorly done when the house was built and it's been an embarrassment ever since then. My stucco has been discussed at neighborhood gatherings, and not by me. Enter PAL painting. They fixed the stucco. I'm not just talking about some light pressure washing like other painters have done in the past. They blasted it. More stucco than you can imagine separated from the house. I was not nervous about this. PAL had carefully scoped the job and immediately created a plan for the stucco and put that plan into action. Everything from the stucco through final coats of paint came out impressive, all at a reasonable price. I had them do property walls, a 110 foot retaining wall, and anything else around the property that has a painted finish. Amazing work. A pleasure to work with - communicative, fast, and clear. Everything that a homeowner wants but can also be hard to find. Consider them for your next painting job with confidence. I contracted Alex Johnston to paint the exterior of our home. They did a fantastic job and it looks amazing!! The pressure washed the entire house and then proceeded to fill in all the cracks in the siding. There were so many and they were very meticulous. They scraped all of the cracked and peeling paint and even took off all of the coach lights to get the entire house painted without leaving any gaps along the fixtures. They pulled all the gravel away from the house all the way around so as to paint the house all the way down to the bottom; and then replaced the gravel all the way around when they were done! They even repaired a beam that was beginning to rot out by digging it out and filling it in before they painted it! Additionally, they were not happy with the way some spots on the garage door turned out and the crew scrapped of the paint in a few places and sanded it down to make it more smooth and then repainted it! The crew was polite and professional and they cleaned up the whole area when they were done. Pricing was excellent (I got 3 other estimates)! Late review. Pal Painting did the exterior of our house Jan 2025. Adam provided the quote and oversaw the job. He was easy to communicate with. I really appreciated being able to call or text him directly with any questions. Roy completed the work. He did an amazing job. He was friendly and had a great work ethic. We noticed a few areas that needed to be touched up towards the end. Roy actually took care of most of them before we even had a chance to say anything. When we let Roy know about the remaining areas of concern, he listened and addressed them right away. Part of the job required drywall repair. It ended up being more involved than initially thought. Pal Painting stood by the original quote, and did a great job fixing the drywall. We are happy that we chose Pal Painting. Outstanding communication. Not the highest bid and not the lowest, I found it very reasonably priced. The guys started and finished the job exactly as promised. The actual paint job itself was very good with the exception of a few spots. They offered to come touch up any issues, but it was easier enough for me to do myself. If I could I would have given a 4.5 only due to final cleanup. It was my only complaint ~ just being honest. Paint on patio and sidewalk, rock not raked back to foundation, paint splash on the underside of the roof tile, and the nails that held outdoor lights were dropped on the ground. My dogs paw actually found one ~ I found the rest. I would absolutely use them again though. I would strongly urge you to at least have them give you a quote. Just be sure to encourage proper clean up. The house looks amazing and I'm very pleased. read more

As a home owner from out of country, it's comforting to know I can trust someone with my home and know that the quality and care of the job is going to be done right. But Nevada goes beyond that. He's always looking at what else he can do to bring massive value to the job. Many times at his cost... he does all the little extra things that add up to something special. They did an excellent job of one of our properties last year and are currently bringing our other property back to life. Adam and his crew did such an exceptional job on our house! We were blown away by his level of professionalism and hired him the day we met him. Our house needed stucco repairs and a ton of TLC after baking in the AZ heat for almost a decade and Adam jumped right in, took the time to explain what he and his crew could do for us and as he found problems (like our stucco from the builder being poorly done on one side of our house) helped to find solutions to make sure our house was better than new. It's so hard to find a company anymore that truly cares about the work they do or to even have decent customer service, and Alexander Johnston knocked this out of the park. I have hired Al, Nevada & Adam to paint several of our homes and rental properties over the last ten years and I am always impressed! I am a Realtor and refer them to all of my clients, my friends and my family. Everyone who hires them is impressed with the quote, the service, and especially the paint job! They do a fabulous job from power washing and patching to clean up. They will assist with color selection, matching, HOA approval and they are great about setting expectations for difficult spots, end results, and timelines. We hired Alexander Johnston to paint a month after we bought our first home. The crew was on time, fast, and thorough. The members of the crew were all very professional, friendly, and helpful. They were able to answer all of the questions we had and went out of their way to make sure the colors we wanted were compliant with our HOA standards. (Thank goodness they thought of that! As first time homeowners, we hadn't even considered the HOA!) We are so pleased with how our home turned out! It's 20 years old, but it looks brand new and beautiful. I needed the exterior of my house painted. I reached out to multiple contractors for quotes. I had 5 contractors reach out to me and Alexander was only 1 of 2 that actually showed up when scheduled to do free quote. His son Adam showed up on time and was proffessional and curteous. They gave me a written quote and was the best price of them all. They are great about staying in communication and scheduling time that works for me to be home while they are working to make sure the dogs weren't a problem for the crew. They washed my house one day and painted the next. They did a very quick job, but was high quality. Very Glad I reached out to them to paint my house! read more
