Not a new Apache customer, bought a trailer a few yers ago from the Poulsbo store. However, had such a good experience, i had to leave a review. Sales force at this location is incredible. Came into look at campers and told our salesman Tave from the get go that we were just kicking tires. We're 3-4 years out from an actual purchase but wanted to get some ideas. He said it wasn't a problem and was happy open any camper we wanted to look at. True to his word, he opened everything we were interested in. Very knowledgeable on the products. He never pressured us for a purchase and even suggested we make sure visit our salesman we bought our last trailer from, when it came time to purchase. After a horrible experience at another mega RV dealership in the area, we came across Apache while researching the used trailer we saw at the before mentioned other dealership. KJ gave us a great price that was lower for a brand new unit than the other place was selling a used one, without the ridiculous add on fees. He answered all my questions and was incredibly knowledgeable about the Coachmen line. Scotty and the service team are great. I had issues with the slide-out on my 2021 trailer that we recently bought from Apache Travel Center and I was unable to bring the slide-out in to tow to store for the warranty work, so they sent Jose to my trailer on the same day and was quickly able to diagnose the issue and had it fixed in 15 minutes. We have purchased two camping trailers at Apache Camping Center in Tacoma. We had a great experience dealing with KJ in sales; he did not use any of the typical high pressure tactics, listened to us and he was very informative and helpful. He was always patient, responsive to my emails, and helped us to get very good deals on both of the trailers we purchased. We highly recommend this dealership! We have purchased many RVs over the years and this experience rates at the top of our list! After receiving our new T@b trailer from Apache, there was a need for some warranty work on it (minor cosmetic issues) and we were impressed with the stellar service we received from Scotty in the Service Department at Apache Camping Center in Tacoma. He communicated often, was very responsive, and let us know as soon as the parts were in so we could get the work done in a timely manner. We waited in our vehicle while the parts were replaced and it was handled with efficiency and care. We highly recommend not only the dealership, but also the service department! The two stars is for the total experience. We bought a 3 year old ALiner popup trailer to replace our 1972 Coleman Tent trailer (tent only - nothing else) which we have enjoyed so far. The salesman was OK, but he sold us on a couple of features that were questionable. The trailer had been purchased by someone who tricked it out with all the options, so we got a furnace, air-conditioner, off-road package, anti-sway hitch system. The questionable features were the High Wind bar option; it was only on one side of the trailer rather than both and they haven't located the second side for us. The other was the anti-sway hitch which the service department took off the trailer and stated they didn't support it. The service department seems to overbook. They scheduled us for 1 PM on a Friday and didn't even start on it until 3:30 PM. They were installing a break controller and to save time gave us a wireless (WIFI) controller which worked well for the first time we used it, but on our second outing last week, went out. fortunately I had upgraded the brakes for trailer towing two years earlier. I am sure I will have more comments on service after researching this issue, but we will be taking it to their Everett Location. We like the ALiner. If we park on level ground, it takes less than a minute to set up after the stabilizing legs are cranked down. Unlevel ground, that can be a challenge and would be easier if we had BOTH high wind option bars. Apache is the only local dealer in the Seattle area with three locations. The ALiner is highly popular and you can't find many used ones, especially outside of the dealer network. I do recommend the ALiner, but will reserve recommending Apache Camping Center for later. read more

I had the best experience at Apache! They treated me like family. From sales, to finance to service team, I felt each step was handled with care and everything was in my best interest. I would never buy another camper from anywhere but Apache Tacoma. Buying a camper is a big purchase that comes with after care and service as well as maintaining a relationship with your service team at your dealership- I couldn't be happier to have that be with Scottie and the service team at Apache. My dad was not able to come with me due to health issues so I was a bit nervous learning it all on my own, Scottie had me do the whole installation of getting my camper in my truck bed, it was heart warming to know he truly cared I knew exactly what I was doing- Felt like a family member walking me through it. Service center is closed on Sunday and Monday. I purchased a brand new Trailer, Forest River, from the Tacoma RV show, it was a 2017 so the savings was about $10K - they say, but still brand new. The bathroom cover where the lid goes up and down one day deteriorated and blew off after 9 months after we realized it, as it's parked on the side of the house. Well, I call the dealership and they say there are about 17 different types of hinges they put on them and offer no assistance whatsoever, but told me to measure it or send a photo. I did, then they replied said they couldn't see so I had to go back up there and open the the lid is it was still together(not broken). So I sent it and now I am waiting. This is just one instance. BTW Forest River - Wildwood's do not have a built-in ladder. If you visit to the service center on a Saturday there is a line out the door for service, looks like they have too many things going on and need more space or a bigger crew because there are two people who really seem to care, a woman(forget her name and a guy with glasses) you will know who they are immediately. The other guy seems like you are bothering him, I was warned by some friends but learning the hard way. Once you buy the trailer you are pretty much on your own with minimal support IF you don't get the two folks I mentioned above. I almost want to get a new trailer so I don't have to deal with them anymore... read more

Very disappointed in the service dept. We purchased a brand new Eagle Cap camper from the Apache in Portland, OR in 2016. Within the first 6 months the fridge malfunctioned and had to be replaced on warranty. We are closer to Tacoma, so we took it there for the new fridge. Fast forward two years. I'm packing for a 2 week trip so I'm really trying to pack the fridge and freezer full. I noticed that the freezer door doesn't have a shelf. Huh, have never noticed that before. I contacted Dometic (manufacturer of fridge) and confirmed it should have come with one from the factory. We have just never needed that much space and haven't noticed until now. I called the service dept and went over this with them. The first woman I spoke with told me she would have to look into it and see if it should have come with it (I already knew it did). I didn't hear back for several days and called back. I spoke to a different lady who gave me the model number and told me "you can find it on Ebay and order it yourself." I then questioned why I would be expected to pay for something the fridge should have come with. She told me it was because we waited too long. I pressed her to ask someone else stating I understand it's been a while but I truly hadn't noticed it before. She said she would have to check with someone else. Crickets after that, never heard back. Both women I dealt with were quite rude to me. I ended up finding the part online on a RV and Boat accessory site for $20 with free shipping. It's really sad that they will lose a customer who spent over $30,000 with their company on a new RV over such a small dollar item part. I'm sure their cost would have been less than $10. We will never go back. read more

I'd been researching / RV shopping for about 8 months. I decided on one I wanted, but was waiting for finances and the new model/floor plan. I spoke to no less than 5 seperate dealerships, Spokane, Boise, even a Sixth in Montana. Really preferring to keep my money in Washington, support our economy, etc. I'd visited another local dealer, who carried the brand I was interested in, they struck me as a typical dealer. I had a verbal commitment to get me information within a certain timeframe, that wasn't met, & on a separate occasions a salesman was slightly abrasive/rude. Nothing major, just I'm about to spend what I consider to be a large sum of money, so the pushiness didn't sit well. I'd decide to contact what one salesman said was "their major competitor" Apache Camping Center - Tacoma. I spoke to LeRoy Tanner in sales. From the initial contact, I was very non committal, to the end of my purchase, LeRoy was truly a pleasure to work with. In fact each person I had contact with from this organization was, courteous, professional, and both knowledgeable and helpful. Lisa, so appreciative of her and the finance teams stellar work (Kim & Laura). My loan wasn't open and shut, but they stayed patient throughout. Scott, Tacoma service/parts, was patient and informative, helped me choose the hitch that suited my needs. Doug, Portland service, (where I opted to pick up my RV) - was, again, patient and courteous. Doug took me on my walk around, answered my questions and even, happily, made a last minute adjustment to an interior drawer. Laura, Portland finance, again, patient and courteous. I even commented to her how impressed I was with the treatment I'd received, how I perceived it to be a genuine ethos of the company. She responded that indeed they were there to make sure their customers left happy. I can honestly say, that my experience with Apache Camping Center, is they actually care about the people they serve. This was a review worth writing, the exceptional service couldn't go without letting the reader know this business is, in my experience, first class. I would like to note: I would never have bought from Apache CC had it not been for LeRoy Tanner. That first contact, I asked him for information on the model in question, he provided the information available and was kind and genuine. I called/emailed him numerous times, always happy to help me. I would not hesitate to send my closest friend to LeRoy! Price: Apache beat every dealer, period. They gave me one (very fair) price, we made one negotiation, and no-one could come close. I had the pleasure of taking my new truck and year old trailer to Apache today for a hitch adjustment. They got me in on short notice and back on the road in about 20 minutes. These guys are great! I bought my trailer from Apache in Everett last year and have nothing but great things to say about this company. Last year they even gave my wife a 45 minute lesson on backing up the trailer when we picked it up. Above and beyond service. I can assume the other two locations are just as good. Great place! So we show up at last minute, Dan is there trying to close up shop and he stops all he is doing to show us everything he has in our market range. Then he takes the time to educate us on the best rig we need as newbies. We find something awesome but time is ticking and we are traveling south. Dan offers up that there is a sister store in portland and looks up all the rigs that meet our needs. We will look in portland, and if we don't find what we need we will drive back to buy from this location. As i said, great place! read more

As you can assume, finding and purchasing an RV through the pandemic has been quite an experience. We found a camper we were looking for but the make and model were sold out everywhere in washington. Apache RV was able to get the camper (Adventurer 901sb) shipped to tacoma from their portland location in just 2 shorts weeks. We worked with Dan to get everything set up before pick up since we do not live near the tacoma location. He answered all our emails promptly and he answered all our questions and scheduled us a time to pick up and sign papers. Can we take a minute to talk about the two unsung heroes in the front of the house? Tauni and Conchita helped us feel welcome and supported when we realized our insurance company couldn't cover us on a Saturday(ridiculous). They called around to find us a quote to be able to bring the camper home with us since we live an hour away from tacoma. They were inviting and personable and honestly it made the experience that much better. Scott in the service department went over the entire camper with us making sure we knew the ins and out of all the components. He was incredibly helpful. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially during a time like this. We ended up getting home and realizing one of the locks on the battery box was busted so we called immediately and Conchita put through our warranty paperwork ASAP for us and helped get us squared away for a warranty repair. They also set us up to get an AC installed at the apache closer to us than Tacoma so we were able to clump both repairs into one appointment. Everyone from sales to service to finance were amazing. Great place to buy an RV... that experience was fabulous and everyone was very helpful. But bringing it in a year later for service has been an entirely different story. We called first and scheduled an appointment two weeks later... no big deal, waiting a couple of weeks wasn't an issue. My husband dropped off the trailer as scheduled and was told they would check it out and let him know what they found. Three days later, my husband called back and was told that they hadn't been able to look at it yet. And now, more than a week after the original scheduled appointment, we are still waiting to get a response from the service department. We have a camping trip in two days and who knows if the work is even started. What is the point of making an appointment if it means nothing? Communication from the service department is seriously lacking and we are beyond frustrated. read more

We had special ordered a Northern Lite camper prior to the Covid outbreak and were given a delivery date of 3 rd week in March. Our salesman, Leroy, was beyond knowledgeable and truthfully answered and addressed every question or concern we had. One week prior to the " official shut down" our camper arrived but we had already relocated to our 2nd home in Eastern Washington. The store had already adopted new policies to protect their customers and their employees. Every email and phone call was promptly returned. The entire staff went out of their way to facilitate outfitting our truck and allowing us to take delivery of the camper via a 3rd party to include staying late to ensure all of the standard walk throughs / orientations and documentation were completed per the norms. No short cuts taken. Pure professionalism start to finish. One of the best buying experiences In recent memory. Just recently we needed a cover for the camper. I emailed an inquiry and within hours received a response from the president of the company no less. He confirmed one was available and we made arrangements to pick it up at a predesignated time the next day. Love the camper but more Importantly love the awesome service. This is the first time I have EVER reviewed anything but in these crazy times, Apache in Tacoma hit a home run and is so worthy. read more

I have purchase two new truck camper from this dealership. I will never go back. I live in a small town and asked about consignment for our two year old RV. They were all promises and suggested a fair price for our mint condition camper. So we drove three hours one way to arrive at our scheduled time. We waited for nearly two hours for the sales manager to look at our RV. Finally, they suggested we drop it off and return home, as the paperwork to consign would soon follow. And when it did they'd reduced the value by over 20% with no explanation. Yep, I drove back to Tacoma picked it up and returned home. When I arrived to pick it up the sales manager was available and said they had a buyer for it. I won't repeat what my reply was... We brought it home and put it on a local RV lot. It sold in two weeks for a price of +$4,000 to their consignment offer. Scum liars... We are currently shopping for another new camper... the AF product line is great, too bad the local Puget Sound dealer is scum; I will drive to another state before I will return to Apache RV. We just purchased a new 2015 Arctic Fox 811. We were so impressed with the service we received, it truly was almost too good to be true, as you rarely get this kind of service anymore. Dan, our sales person was excellent, so was Jose' the very knowledgeable service guy (and coworkers) and Chelsea the office employee who took care of the rest. Just brought our camper home today!!! Leroy was our salesman and he was great! Showed us what we were looking for (arctic fox 1140) never pressured us at all. showed us all models in our price range.. he let my husband and I talk it over without hovering! He was great! We picked a used model and sent it in for some upgrades! When we came to pick it up I saw a few things about that model I didn't see before and was having buyers remorse.... they had already cashed the check and I was upset I was going to get stuck with something I didn't want and it was all my fault for not seeing it originally... The owner stepped up and gave me all the options... In the end we went with a newer model that fits my family of 5's needs. These guys stayed true to their words and made this family very happy. This is our third camper and will not be our last Im sure! We have found a great company that is fair and upfront and they will have our business and that of our many friends and family for years to come! read more
