first of all I have to say the waitress gabby was a delight! She was so sweet and attentive. She brought me a complementary ginger lemonade! Which was really good! I didn't expect that. I did tell her at the end of my meal that I wasn't an influencer lol. These days you never know! I don't expect to get free items and I definitely do not want to be an influencer. I just like to go to restaurants and enjoy myself! I love the theme of the restaurant that it's very anime oriented even though I don't really do anime lol but it's very cool! crispy chicken side- wasn't my favorite. I should've asked if it was dark meat because I really don't like dark meat. It's a little too fatty for my liking. You do get a lot of of this! white rice side- really good! I typically go to the Huntington location but decided to check out their Port Washington location. The vibes are different, a little quieter. But the food hits no matter which one you go to. The menu seems to have a little more here as it has cocktails and bubble tea and pork carnitas bao buns. We wanted to try those and to no surprise, they were delicious. The buns are always warm and fluffy the meat was tender and flavorfu. We also got the Mb ramen and katsu curry mazemen. Both equally delicious. The MB is always a staple for me. We came here for a lunch on Wednesday since kids had the day off for Lunar New Year. It's been a minute and I've been craving my rice bowl. It did not disappoint. Literally everything we ordered (we ordered a lot!) was absolutely delicious. BART the manager and lone server was amazing! Best guy in town and spot on with recommendations for the new additions to the menu. He makes a mean Sour Plum drink. Forgot the full name of it. Kids and I enjoyed the new fruit teas as well. My son is Boba spoiled and wasn't too crazy about the brown sugar milk tea but I thought it was delicious, just not as super sweet as the one he's used to. My fav as always was my crispy chicken rice bowl with the spicy pork on the side. My son got the same thing except with chirashi and crispy chicken. So they've been open a full year in town and we finally managed to go in tonight to eat and very happy we did! Monday night so we had the place to ourselves at 8pm! Loved the retro street fighter 2 video game console in one corner of the restaurant, apparently the owner is a master at the game, and Biggie playing from their speakers above all brought me back to my childhood! The MB ramen and their Spicy Shio tagen hit the spot but my go to are the brothless noodle dishes like the beef curry udon and Taiwan Mazemen. But before you even get to the noodles, order up some apps! We really enjoy the chili dumplings: chewy crispy pan fried dumpling with the right amount of spice kick.. and their Takoyaki is can't and soft with a generous amount of squid in each bite. Don't forget dessert too as we enjoy the yuzu cheese cake. Staff is bomb! Super engaging, warm and attentive! Location is great because you can get off the Port Washington LIRR and go right across the street to eat and then hop back on again to go back to the city if you're just visiting for a meal. read more

Pros: first off, the decor and music. Majority of the art was anime inspired and they had an old school arcade machine in the corner. They were playing rnb music when I walked in so right away that earned points. In terms of food, everything was delicious. I've known of their Huntington location for years and only stumbled on the Port Washington location accidentally when our original lunch plans didn't work out. Honestly, I've been very hesitant to give MB a try because I've heard so many mixed reviews from non-Yelpers. Food always looked good, but sometimes looks could be deceiving. I have to say, I was impressed! We got the MB ramen, tokyo ramen, and spicy miso ramen. You can actually taste the difference in richness between the MB and the tokyo. Broth wise, i loved the MB. The portions are pretty loaded, way more than I expected, so it was a nice surprise. My only complaint with the spicy miso was that there was no meat in it! My fault for not reading it fully (i blame the kids), but unless I'm getting a vegetarian ramen, I'm going to expect some sort of meat. Love the design of the restaurant, the open kitchen is always nice for aesthetics and to see that they are clean in how they prep the food. Service was good enough, but guys, please get a shade for the front window! This clearly is a common issue, but to eat a hot bowl of soup with the sun blazing on my back? Not ideal. I will say that I greatly appreciate the restaurant having the option to remove items from the dish, so they clearly consider pickier eaters. I got the MB Ramen and it arrived just as ordered with great packing and also packaging. They've got branding down very well. On to the ramen; very thick pieces of chashu, good ratio of meat and fat. Good flavor on the chashu as well, really enjoyed this aspect. The ajitama was perfectly cooked, nice and jammy, with really good flavoring on the marinade. The noodles were pretty standard fare, not bad at all, cooked well. The broth is very tasty, nice and thick that leaves your lips sticky. Surprisingly good ramen in an anime fan setting complete with an OG Street Fighter II machine. The menu here has a bunch of appetizers as well as a fairly long list of ramen that ranges from semi traditional to new age (tomato and gouda cheese noodles). The appetizers here are pretty good with the best being their fried brussels. I enjoyed the ramen here and thoroughly didn't expect to. The MB ramen is probably their best - tonkotsu broth with black garlic with 3 massive slices of pork that are really flavorful. The Tokyo was also pretty good as was the tantan. Only one I didn't like was the tomato cheese ramen but that's probably because I hate gouda cheese. Service here is friendly and good. Prices are fair considering the really large portions. You should not leave hungry (I have yet to be able to finish a bowl of ramen here). Enjoyed eating here, will be back. read more

I'm not a ramen expert but this was really bad. The ramen noodles were basically a hockey puck and the takoyaki were mealy + rubbery. Had I been in the restaurant I would've sent it back. Instead, I called and got a "welp, what do you want us to do about it?" Went in at around 11:30 AM for lunch with a buddy of mine. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted and given free reign to a table of our choice. Mostly little booths on the side, with an option to eat at the bar near the open kitchen area. We took our seat at a booth underneath the graffiti-style logo on the wall. I clocked three screens each playing a different anime at the same time, with game and anime memorabilia strewn across the ceiling, light fixtures, and walls. Jazzy renditions of anime openings played softly in the background, juxtaposed by the harsh fight noises coming from the old school Street Fighter 2 cabinet- which the restaurant offered free play to customers. To start, I ordered a plate of the chili dumplings and a "Namekian", a tasty-tangy pineapple and melon flavored cocktail. The dumplings were covered in a sesame sauce sprinkled with bits of fried pork, scallions, and a drizzle of chili oil. Spice levels were pretty good, and not just fast-food "spicy", but were super savory and very heavy. I was glad to have the sweet and sour drink to help cut through its richness. My friend also ordered a side of takoyaki, which was nice, but nothing to really write home about. Seemed to be deep fried, but cooked well regardless. The star of the show was absolutely the bowl of MB Ramen. It came out (along with my friend's Birria Mazemen, which I didn't try) looking incredible, and I could hardly wait to dig in. With a plethora of toppings, it was everything could've asked for and more. The marinated egg was runny, the naruto fish cakes iconic, the chashu pork belly was grilled perfectly- firm yet so buttery soft I could cut through with my tongue, the immaculately cooked noodles had a lovely chew, and that oh-so milky broth mixed with that flavorful garlic oil was smooth and delicious down to the very last drop. Throughout our visit our hostess was incredibly attentive, and offered great suggestions that I'm likely to order for my next visit. She offered the SF2 cabinet to finish our stay, and I couldn't say no to a few rounds of a classic fighting game. I've gotta say, there's no better dessert to a good, hearty meal than a W. Honestly, I was a little bit reluctant going to this place because it had such little reviews but honestly, this is probably my new favoriteeee ramen place!! We got the Tokyo Ramen, MB Ramen and the pork buns as an appetizer, as well as the melon cream soda for drinks. The food was very very very good, like, I don't know how else to describe it other than YOU have to try it. Very tasty, unique, rich and creamy broth and overall just broke my expectations (in a positive way because that broke my scale 1000/10). It's super cozy in there, staff was very very nice, had good music and very comfortable seating. The decor is also really cool as it had comics, all sort of game/tv figurines, it had 3 different animes playing on their tv screens, and not to mention, a really cool street fighters arcade machine!!! Love this place. I just moved to Port Washington after living in NYC, SF, DC for the past dozen years. I can't believe such a high-quality restaurant with a great vibe is in this suburban Long Island town. The food came out fast. The ramen was fantastic (and I've been to Tokyo). In addition to the MB Ramen (which everyone at the table got), we also shared a crispy chicken rice bowl, which was great as well. What really separates MB Ramen from most suburban spots though is the funky design - a graffiti / cartoon aesthetic with references to a number of different cartoons from Japanese culture.
