From the beginning these guys were friendly and communicated clearly as to the time table for repairs. A lot of cars in the area had been damaged and so they were busy. Also, after reviewing the initial insurance estimate they said they'd need to talk to my insurance to cover the cost of all necessary repairs. They got my car done in the timeframe they stated, and I always appreciate it when an auto shop does that since it's unfortunately not that common. When I picked up my car, there were a few small dents that were still kind of noticeable, although in fairness they were likely rock chips, not from hail. So they said to bring it back the next day and they'd do their best to improve them as much as possible. So I dropped it off and they just needed 30 minutes to make the rock chips almost unnoticeable. Hopefully I won't need body work again anytime soon, but if I do I'm coming here, no doubt.

He took some photos and emailed me a few days later with an estimate, which I thought was reasonable. I met him again on 12 August and gave him a check for $200 as an advance on parts for the repair. That was the last time Rich or anyone from Midwest Auto Body contacted me. I emailed them on 8 September to inquire about the status on the order and scheduling the work, but no one replied. I phoned several times over the next couple months. In one call, Rich said that he was relocating his work garage from Wattenberg to Longmont and that things were in disarray so he didn't know when he could do the work and didn't know the status of my parts order. The next two times I called, he only told me that he "hadn't forgot about" me but didn't know if he had the parts I'd paid for and "would have to check". On my last call, on 22 October, he agreed to call me back soon with status, but never did. No one from Midwest Auto Body ever proactively contacted me to give me an update. I assume that my $200 is lost, and it's probably not worth my time to try to recover it. But I felt that I had to share this experience to potentially save others the same kind of trouble.

I had work done on my vehicle here, and unfortunately, I have had multiple issues with the work…read morethat was performed. The windshield washer reservoir was replaced, but it was never filled, and it still shows as empty even when the reservoir is full. The lower passenger-side light was also not seated properly and was left loose. Most importantly, sensors were replaced, but they are still not working correctly. This is now my second time returning to have the sensor issue addressed. After the first visit, I took my vehicle to Mike Maroone Ford for a complete diagnostic. Their conclusion was that the sensor was not communicating and that the problem was most likely with the sensor itself or the wiring that was installed. When I returned for the second time and explained exactly what Mike Maroone Ford had diagnosed, I was treated as though I did not understand my own vehicle. I was told that my vehicle did not have a camera and that it was impossible for it to have lane assist without one. I was also told that they would not trust anything Mike Maroone Ford said. What they apparently do not know is that Mike Maroone Ford installed a new engine in my vehicle and has extensive knowledge of this particular vehicle. At this point, I am no longer willing to continue bringing my vehicle back. I will be having Mike Maroone Ford diagnose and repair the problems caused by the previous work. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. I expected the work to be completed correctly the first time, or at minimum, for the concerns I raised to be taken seriously.
