Came back to have my starter fixed/replaced. I had hoped the grinding noise on ignition would be related to the catalytic converter, but sadly, it kept happening even after replacing the cat-con. Since Julio was aware that all these costly repairs were hurting me big time, he suggested ordering a refurbished starter from a local parts store, which cut the total cost 40% compared to his original estimate. My car is 18-years old, so I don't care to use brand-new parts, and this worked out perfectly for me. I also love that Automotive EMTs doesn't charge 8 hours of labor for a 30-minute job like big-chain shops. That always feels like robbery of the tallest order, so seeing a charge for the exact amount they spent working on my car was refreshing. All in all, my car runs amazing once again, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you for great, honest work at a fair price! Oh, and let me just add that Julio is a really great guy, too. After dropping my car off the second time, I asked if they could shuttle me home; since Julio was headed to Boulder, he offered to drop me off personally on the way. I worked with one guy the entire time I was dealing with them (I don't remember his name) but he was very friendly. it ended up just needing the coolant topped off and they didn't lie or try to upsell me on crazy repairs.. even let me know if things to keep an eye on! I've had TERRIBLE experiences with other Longmont mechanics but these guys were awesome. will definitely be my go to for now on! read more

Got my windows tinted here they did a great job I would recommend them still need to get other vehicles in to get them done as well. They also use good ceramic tint so it's not turning purple on you down the road. They have great prices as well. read more

I have been going to EMT for the past year now. They are extremely wonderful and I am proud to say EMT Automotive in Longmont Colorado is my mechanic. I recently broke down 41 miles away. My road side assistance will on pay $50.00 dollars to the nearest shop. I was willing to pay out of pocket almost $200.00 just to get my car back to EMT. Hi, I'm Rex with Drain away another local company in longmont. EMT has been servicing our trucks for a least 4 years they have always gone the extra mile for us. Once I was all the way in denver at 104th had to pull off the highway.. truck died, I was on the way to New Mexico for the weekend, called Julio at EMT and he said I'll be right their. UNBELIEVABLE....This guy shows up with two vehicles one with another mechanic with tools to see if they can fix my truck on the spot and then he pulls up in another truck and tells me and I quote!!! 'Go ahead Rex take my truck for the weekend'. Who dose that? I called my wife and told her what happen and that i was going back to longmont and wait. EMT fixed my truck and delivered to my house, now that is service. I know this is a long story but these guys are old school service and you just don't find that everyday. I didn't know exactly what was wrong with my car and it wouldn't turn on. Automotive EMT made it super easy for me, they came and towed my car (which is free) and got back to me later letting me know my battery was dead. They were quick to get back to me, they jumped my car so I could go get a battery from Walmart for cheaper, and all I had to pay for was the service fee. Junior was able to get my travel trailer in right away when my wiring harness connector went out, in less than the time quoted it was done and we were back on the road. After calling all of the RV stores who are backed up days/weeks out this was a quick, painless and relief to find this shop. Professional and helpful, price was right on too. These guys are great - honest with great prices. I think the first time I used them was for a Civic that I needed the heating fixed in. I had checked about doing an easy fix myself - but it looked like something more to me. So I took it to EMT without saying anything and they told me it did just need the easy fix and fixed it for way less than what I was expecting to pay. They could have totally charged me for a more expensive fix if they were dishonest. Another time I took our 4runner for them to fix the transmission (among other things). It ended up being worse than thought and they went over the estimate they had given me. They didn't charge me that extra though and they ate that cost. I once referred a couple buying a Bronco from me to them to give it a once-over. EMT determined it needed a couple things and the buyers were amazed with their service and prices as well. Said they were going to use them for all their service needs - and they live in a different town. Can't go wrong with these guys. read more

I wouldn't go back if it was free. They replaced what was supposed to be the problem, the starter switch, car won't start. Then they Tell me it's the distributor. Replace that, still no dice. I go to another shop they say its the starter switch. And this place won't stand behind their work cause they said the part was from a junk yard. So here I am 1000 gone and at the same place I was before. read more
