Hawaiian Tuna Appetizer. It's fresh, zesty, and the avocado makes it a little creamy. It tastes as beautiful as it looks

We have been eating here (dine in and takeout) since moving to the area about two years ago. The food and service has been consistently good. Everyone is pleasant and takes great care of their customers. The sushi chef is creative and his food shows it in presentation and taste. The cooked food is comforting. It's all around great.

Chicken with garlic sauce was decent. Aoyama normally always has the best Chinese food. The restaurant is cute inside. Service was ok.

I'm surprised nobody has reviewed this place yet since it was pretty packed when we came in for lunch on Black Friday. Very tasteful interior with a 6-8 person room sectioned off towards the back. Our party of four had the sashimi boat for two, a baked ika (squid), and the black sea bass done in Chinese style with julienned green onions and ginger. Their fish is really good - thick cuts of sashimi and plenty of variety on the boat. Try the butter fish. It literally melts in your mouth. I HIGHLY recommend the ika for an appetizer. Our squid was imported from Japan and was of the smaller variety. Super tender and drizzled with a teriyaki sauce topped with ground black pepper. The black sea bass didn't really go with the rest of our Japanese meal, but as a stand-alone dish, it was solid. You can tell this place really focuses on delivering quality fish.

You're not really expecting amazing sushi in North Jersey, but every once in a while, someplace like Aoyama comes along and totally surprises you. They've got all the staples, prepared very well, rice is perfectly prepared. The portions are a little on the larger side than some other places, sushi menu is updated nightly. One crazy roll you must try, the Caribbean Role: banana, avocada and tuna...one of those crazy combinations that sounds like it'll be gross but ends up being good enough to want to come back just for that again!

They've been closed due to a fire next door. Their other location has no idea if and when they're re-opening.

So it will never fail to blow me away how many people this restaurant employs and how well they take care of you. Enough about service - what does the food taste like? Super yummy, duh! I've never had anything I didn't like. The food portions are nice and big - you will have leftovers (which you take home in a reusable bag!). The highlight for me is their drinks. The bartender knows what they're doing. I highly recommend the lychee mule, my absolute favorite!

Each dish was so flavorful and fresh. The duck was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and plated in a delicious curry. The drunken noddles came with chicken and shrimp, and were loaded with yummy veggies. The Mussaman Curry had lots of beef and veggies, and the curry sauce itself was so fragrant, flavorful, and rich. The Pla Rad Prik was similar to the duck in that it was crispy on the outside and very warm and tender on the inside. It came with a similar sauce to the duck, and was plated with beautiful vibrant veggies on top. The ambiance of Thai Kitchen is excellent. I was very impressed when i walked in by the cozy and warm, yet upscale decor. It has the vibe of a small, upscale thai restaurant that you could find in Manhattan. I would definitely come back and bring friends if I was showing them around the neighborhood. The service was similarly warm and upscale. We received each of our dishes quickly and with a friendly smile. This is DEFINITELY going to be my new go-to for thai in this area.

Let me get one thing straight. Shan Shan Noodles doesn't care about this review. They don't care if…read moreyou come. Why? Because they are busy AF. They are buzzing. We went for the first time Sunday at like 3pm? Full. Take out orders flying out the door. It's a cute place. Standard strip mall aesthetic. But they do have a window where you can see them hand pulling the noodles. That's right, hand pulling the noodles which is the main attraction. The food is from the North Western part of China near Pakistan so there are some Indian influences like their Cumin lamb and pulled noodles one of their most popular dishes. But I'm getting ahead of myself. With my vegetarian wife who as usual ruins everything by insisting we order vegetarian appetizers. Scallion pancakes were delicious. No pictures because we ate them immediately. Pan fried dumpling. 9 of them. That's a big portion. And it was like 9-10 bucks? They make their own dumpling wrappers, their own dipping sauces. Dumplings were very good. You could really taste the vegetables. Focused on the quality of the ingredients. My wife had the hand pulled noodles in hot oil. Marked spicy it was American spicy. Did not blow your head off. O enjoyed them. They give you a pair of scissors. Because it's one long noodle. Do not use them on your birthday. More on that later. I had the aforementioned cumin lamb and pulled noodles. I liked it but it was overwhelmingly cumin flavored which obviously is the point of cumin lamb. I'm not saying over seasoned I'm just saying it announced itself as this is cumin lamb. Period. We also had bubble tea! How fun is that? My wife had taro which they made with non dairy milk for her. I had pomegranate with exploding bubbles. Never had those before. Also super fun. They did not explode in an American way or even a Chinese way as both countries let's face it are pretty well known for making things explode. No in a pleasant way. Waitress was delightful we had obviously a long conversation about the food and the restaurant. The scissors are for Americans who share their food. In China you would eat the noodles slurp them without cutting them because eating long noodles especially on your birthday is supposed to promote a long life. We did not learn this until after cutting my wife's noodles. It was her birthday. I will miss her but also look forward to meat based appetizers. One door closes and all that. They also own the bakery a few doors down. Very light chiffon style cakes. Not too sweet. Chocolate Oreo cake. I asked if that was very traditional. Oh how we laughed at my hilarious joke.

The dumplings were flavorful, hot, and perfectly steamed. They were definitely the highlight of our meal. Next came the beef pancake which was crunchy, chewy, had excellent flavor, but slightly heavy on the sauce. Lastly, was the braised beef noodle soup. The broth's flavor was on the mild side, whilst relying on the spice's heat to shine as the primary flavor. The beef was also mild, but especially tender. There was also a good amount of proteins in the soup and the hand pulled noodles were perfectly thick and chewy. Overall it was a great dish for a chilly night out.
