In other states, self service gas stations are completely extinct. Anyway, rant over. This Mobil station is one of just a very minimal amount of gas stations throughout Ashland, and one of the two along Route 126, one of the major 'highways' throughout the town (the other being Speedway). This station is complete with 12 pumps, an air machine, a full convenience store (with restrooms), and a full "auto-wash". Access points are from both Eliot Street and Pond Street and normally they aren't all that busy. While the store isn't huge, and extremely small for a convenience store, it is a convenience store and don't expect to find all that much. Snacks, drinks, cigarettes and maybe a few other 'basic' items at most. Prices are normally decent on gas. They vary from a few cents less to a few cents more than the Speedway down the street. Either way, it's a fine station and I would suggest stopping at for this area (I haven't ever been to Speedway, so I don't have anything 'against them either). I stopped here twice while I was in this area consistently for a week and have no complaints on either occasion. 4 stars.
