I cannot think of another time where I have been more disrespected by another human being…read more My car was dropped off for a state inspection and to refill the air, after they took a look I was informed it was going to be $100. I came back to the store to ask the manager what the charges are for because I saw the service to be cheaper online. Before I could finish my sentence/question, the manager threatened to go grab my keys and then continue to yell at me for checking the online prices. I tried to explain to him, I simply want to understand where is my $100 going towards. However, I wasn't able to finish one sentence because he kept intruppting me by raising his voice. Finally it reached the attention of a mechanic and he explained to me what the charges are for and I paid for the service. I did ask for the manager to give me an apology because I don't believe anyone should be treated like the way he treated me. Then the manager addressed what I did "wrong" and gave me a sarcastic apology. I decided to let it go, however, I will never come back to this business and will warn my friends, peers, and family the same.

I took my car here last Saturday 04/16/2016 for an inspection. When I brought the car in, I had no…read moreissues, no check engine light, nothing. I picked the car up after they had closed and as soon as I got inside it the check engine light was flashing, the car was driving poorly, but hey at least I passed the inspection? I got home, plugged in a code reader and looked up the code that the car was showing. It was for the transmission. Quick google search said to check some fuses. The car has two fuse boxes, one under the hood and one near the gas/brake pedals. I checked the fuse box near the gas/brake pedals, all were okay. I looked under the hood and a fuse was missing?!? I replaced the fuse and everything went back to normal and the check engine light disappeared. That means the garbage mechanic at this place purposely removed the fuse (the fuse box is sealed) in hopes that I would bring the car back and then they would charge me and arm and a leg to fix a fake problem. Someone less knowledgeable about cars would have done this. Don't bring your car here, ever. This is the second shady experience I've had here, and by far the worst.

As a college student who is a female, I always get worried when I got to mechanics. I get worried…read moreabout the price and that since I am a girl I am going to be ripped off. I heard about Doug's shop through a friend and decided to take my car their after my previous mechanic ripped me off. Doug was very good about calling and informing me about what was wrong with my car and what needed to be done first over other fixes. He did a very good job explaining things to me and actually showing me parts to help me understand. He also helped me in telling me what work my old mechanic did and did not do. This helped me to pin point the issues from the past. I would definitely go to Doug more if I lived closer to his shop and would highly recommend him to others.

I had one day free before some doctor's appointments, and dreaded trying to get someone to look at my car on short notice, since we have no other car. However, Brian's is nearby, with a good reputation locally, so I drove there when it opened. Despite being booked solid with other work, he took the car in, removed a broken and hanging heat shield from a place where it's not really necessary on a 15-year-old car, charged me nothing, and I was home 20 minutes after I left. It seems clear why they have such a great reputation, and now have a new regular customer. Warm and friendly people, prompt and courteous service, saved me a lot of trouble.
