I wish I would have read the negative reviews and did my research before my elderly mother hired this so called "company" to do our last-minute move. Our entire experience has been nothing but a complete disaster. Long story short, our furniture was left outside due to a discrepancy over a tip for a job that wasn't even complete. They also left items back at our old home and damaged a day bed that they had difficulty putting back together. Once they realized they wouldn't be receiving the tip they wanted, they moved a couch and love seat to the outside of our home, packed up their things, and drove away...leaving our front door wide open. When my mother called the movers, who were less than 2 min away, and asked them to place the 2 pieces of furniture where she asked, they pretty much called her crazy and said that she told them to leave it there. Sure Jan. They refused to come back. She then called the owner or manager back at the office, who initially offered to put the furniture wherever she wanted, the next day. Why would we want furniture in our home after it was left outside all night in the rain? Over the next few days, she had what was initially a pleasant exchange with a rep for the company offering things like having the furniture cleaned and asking for receipts to compensate us for part of the loss. Then the tone of the rep changed abruptly, and my mother was being treated like a liar and told that they would offer her $150 for the damages, but she would have to pay $149 for them to send someone out to bring over the items they left at our old home. She of course declined, letting them know that there was no way in hell she'd allow them to handle her belongings again. She heard nothing from the company until they started noticing the negative reviews that were being placed about our experience online. Suddenly, that same rep is as sweet as sugar, calling and asking for receipts for the furniture yet again, wanting to know what can be done to make it right. My mom sent the receipts in good faith knowing that this company had no intention of paying us anywhere near what it was worth, hoping that they would live up to their reputation as a self-proclaimed "reputable and professional" moving company. This time they offered $200 for the loss, in exchange for her removing any negative reviews she had placed. No mention of the items that were left or the broken day bed. Such a joke on so many levels. My favorite part of all this is that whenever they listened to her complaints, they would respond with things like "if the work was so unsatisfactory, then why did you pay?". They know why. Because although it isn't listed, they take Zelle as a payment. And the minute they received payment from her, they left immediately without even telling her they were "done". If I had of known this, I would have never allowed her to pay them. And I really resent the fact that they are trying to make her sound like a crazy old woman. My 75-year-old mother slept on a mattress on the floor for almost 2 weeks because of their negligence and refusal to own up to their mistakes. So, if you're interested in hiring a shady company that is run by complete liars, hire Anytime Moving. Let me just say, this moving company is the real deal. Anytime Movers arrived earlier than expected, obviously they called and asked if it was ok, and went straight to work. They were professional and got the job done. They finished the work early and even assembled the furniture. I was a little skeptical as I've had bad experiences with other movers, but Anytime Moving provided a positive experience. This place is a complete scam. I called and itemized every item in my one-bedroom apartment that has less than 5 pieces of furniture and 10 boxes. They quoted me about two hours. As the movers loaded up every piece of furniture except for 2 pieces of art, I told them that I would head out and meet them at the new location. I waited for 4 hours with no response from anybody in the office about what is happening with my furniture and then they called and told me that they will charge me six hours to just drop the stuff off, again this is a one bedroom apartment with only one bed and one sofa. They are all extremely rude and out there to only scam you. I would never recommend them to anybody. Be ware. In response to their reply they are complete liars. I chose them out of five other moving companies that I actually called for the specific reason and they pretended they were so professional. They sent me two kids that had no clue what the hell was going on that they picked up off the street and probably paid them $20 each. They were aware of what I was moving and after I told the amateur movers I had expensive furniture they procrastinated the move when everything was already loaded five hours prior to arriving to my new location. Again, Broke my furniture left stuff still there at my old apartment and refused to go pick it up and I kept calling them and no one would answer their phone. We had a rough start with this company due to a scheduling mistake on their part. Supposedly, the scheduling system was at fault. Thankfully, we weren't under a huge time crunch. They ended up starting the move 3 hours later than expected, but everything after that flowed very smoothly. We didn't have any damages or issues. The movers were quick, but thorough. Yelp site is bad. I tried to request a quote but because I could not answer the quote finder with an exact particular address. It accepted my address with a City and a Zip Code but would not accept the same information for where to pick up the items. These guys just moved me from Macomb to Clarkston - they arrived at 9:30 am - right on time- and it literally took them only an hour to get all of my belongings (a truck full) in a truck and get on the road. They were so professional, very fast and efficient, and super nice! They then got everything into my storage unit when I realized I didn't have room for everything so the one gentleman actually had to take it all back out to put different boxes in there and move the other boxes to the house. They were very friendly and never complained or seemed bothered. I would absolutely use the company again! I hired this company to move me locally, last month. Upon calling, I expressed my concern about 2 dressers that were quite heavy and was told it was "no problem". The movers showed up that friday, as scheduled, and were quick and careful. Then came the heavy dresser which they could not get up the ramp to the truck. One of the workers called the owner, explained the situation, and was told that he (owner) would contact me that weekend to figure something out at a later date but soon. I was ok with that and was just happy to be moved into my new place. Long story short, no call was received, I called him (owner). He said they were very busy and fully booked for the next week but he would get me back on the schedule as soon as he could to move my dresser. Again, no callback. About a week later I called/texted him again to see what was going on. He scheduled it the following friday (a week and a half later) but texted me that morning to say they were having "mechanical issues" and would not be able to move my dresser later that day. I texted and called numerous times after that day and still have not gotten a response. No call, no email or text. (he has all of those to contact me) I was then forced to incur an additional expense and hired another moving company to move my dresser which took them an hour and ten minutes in total. I am VERY DISSATISFIED with this company. Ownership is not professional and does not seem to care about the customer which was proved to me by false promises and no followup. Also, if you have anything heavy to move they only have a few trucks (which I was told) and none have a lift gate. So it's all manual. Apparently the trucks they do have break down. They only accept CASH which was a little bit concerning and also inconvenient. I would give them a lower rating if possible. read more

Worse company I ever had to move my items. Customer service is awful!! And I feel as a senior woman, I was taken full advantage of by the movers moving my items extremely slow in order to charge more. I paid a little over $500.00 to move a one bedroom apartment of items less living room furniture and a bedroom set and they still did not move all of my items. In addition, the manager was rude and they have a sweeper of mine that has not been returned to me. And to add insult to injury, one of their employees told me it was her understanding I threw my sweeper at one of the movers. THIS IS AN EXTREME LOW for any company! NO INTEGRITY!! He also called her up to try to put fear into her. Just spoke with an individual with no respect, minimal professionalism, and I would imagine, minimal home training.. There seems to be this "mentality" from these new businesses that the customer is never right, and nothing more than "collateral damage.." This business is "never wrong" and the customer is "never right" as it appears from my conversation with this representative (if that's what you can call her), it was constantly "can I finish speaking" "let me finish speaking!" as if I had nothing to say and should just listen to the conflicting story that she wanted to speak. I sent this company an email early this morning because I was in non-receipt of my receipt for the moving services. I also mentioned how I thought it was "incredible" that for a 982 sq ft. townhouse with a finished basement that it would run up $922.25 for 10hrs of moving to a storage facility that is 3.6 miles away. There was a total of 23 boxes and furniture and clothes, which the majority of the clothes we had to move, they only took coats and a few clothes. They left stereo equipment and patio furniture. Would never recommend this company because of the irresponsible and disregarding attitude that was displayed from their customer service, They displayed total dishonesty, lack of integrity and appear to be just another "cutthroat" rob you blind moving company.. Oh, and they have no shame for their display of conduct. To think that because I saw the reviews on Yelp @ 5 stars, I called them. What I neglected to read was the "non-recommended" reviews which I read after doing business with this company.. Some of those reviews I was clearly able to identify with. The worst!!!!! Movers were 2 hours late and forgot their tools to disassemble furniture. After the walk through, I was told that they could complete the job in 2 hours and I wouldn't be charged if they worked over 2 hours because they arrived so late. They took almost 4 hours and I had to ask them to reassemble my son bed. Finally, when they were finished, they charged me for the over time they told me I wouldn't be charged. When I asked why they were going back on their word, I was told because they didn't think it would take so long for them to disassemble 2 beds. I'm a single mother alone at home with 2 kids so against my better judgement I didn't argue with the 2 men. I feel robbed!!! SCAM SENIORS!!!! This company deserves no stars, but the site made me give them one, undeserving to them!!!!! They were extremely unorganized, milk their time in order to charge more. Items that were being thrown out, they decided to keep and utilize space in the rental truck for what they rummaged through to keep. Then gave my senior citizen mother (82 years old) a sob story saying they were running late and had to hurry up and leave and get to another job in Grosse Pointe. We had no choice but to then get a Uhaul cargo van and finish the move ourselves. So spending $1,000.00 to this anytime movers they should have completed the job. But upon unpacking boxes that were just thrown anywhere at the new location and not in the proper rooms that the boxes were labeled to go in, we find 2 days later spoiled food, broken glass to her curio cabinet, and the broken stand to the 47" Sony Bravia TV that I gifted to her. And yes I will post pictures of said items, if this site allows. So would I recommend this "company", heck no, not even to someone I don't care for. They are truly NOT PROFESSIONAL. When trying to discuss the first time with said manager Adam who turns out to be the owner in disguise, he gives excuses upon lies after lies. The guy takes no blame for what happened. read more

My Son Iphone 7 plus was stolen after letting one of the movers use the restroom i thought the owner would make some compensation and i emailed several time with no response. i used them because they came to my place of work. Everyone in my new home has the new iphones and ipads. Were a techy family and i have no reason to blame someone . They arrived late and then decided to try and charge me for the time they were due to arrive, when I informed them that I would only pay for the time they actually were at my residence working they informed me that they were going to go out to the truck to fill out the paperwork. They stayed out in the truck for over 40 minutes. My spouse walked up on them on speaker phone with their boss tellinh them to charge us for the longest amount of time possible. We waited on them to come back into our home and told them that our time wouldn't start until they started working, they become rude and tried to snatch the paperwork out of my spouses hand and when they were unsuccessful stormed out of our home and left us without movers. I called the company and told them that we know they told the movers to try and scam us and the only thing they said was that they could get us more movers later that night because they think the driver that was ay my home was about to quit anyway. Anytime moving is ok for the money but I will pay more money for a better experience next time. They did not wrap any of my furniture prior to moving it and used very foul language that I did not appreciate. The movers complained about the weight of some of my items extensively and did not place the items where I instructed them. One of them took every opportunity he was outside to smoke and then came into my house smelling like an ashtray. He even threw his cigarette butts on my patio and left them there for me to clean up. I was less then impressed but perhaps if I had had different movers my experience would have been better. read more
