Childcare is frequently "at capacity," but parents receive no notification through the In-Shape app. You can pack up your kids, drive all the way there, and then be turned away, which means there goes your workout. For working parents, this is extremely frustrating. It would be very helpful if In-Shape sent an app notification when childcare reaches capacity or brought back the option to reserve childcare through the app, similar to how it worked during COVID. At least parents could plan accordingly instead of wasting a trip. Today, Labor Day, was another example of poor communication. Family swim is normally 5-8 PM Monday-Friday. Since the gym was closing at 6 PM, I planned to bring my kids from about 5-5:30 PM. I had already been at the gym that morning, and there was NO sign saying family swim was canceled. When we returned around 5 PM, suddenly there was a sign stating "No family swim hours today." The manager told us we had to leave, and when I tried to politely provide feedback and explain that we had used family swim on Labor Day last year without an issue, he just kept repeating what the sign said instead of listening to the concern. The issue isn't simply that family swim was canceled and it's the lack of communication and how the situation was handled. We PAY for our children's memberships. If services are unavailable or hours change, members should be notified ahead of time through the app, not find out after arriving with their children. In-Shape needs better communication and better customer service from management.

We weren't asking for anything unreasonable, just a simple look around the gym. You would think that an existing member visiting a different location would be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. First impressions matter, and the way we were treated left a bad impression. Customer service and friendliness should be a priority, regardless of whether someone is already a member or just visiting. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.

Since it's covered by our insurance, unlike other gyms in town, we'll probably just wait until it's repaired, since no one offered us the possibility of just going to Marina.

They left me feeling confused & upset many times over the years. They did not care about my mental health or overall goal to drive! When he cancels a Saturday class its either because work is being done at the gym or another valid situation, not Just because he doesn't want to coach. That's crazy to even think that its just because he doesn't want to coach. Prices have gone up, but so has prices everywhere. If the prices didn't go up we wouldn't have a gym, and that's 100% facts. Go and check out other gyms and see how much they charge and they you will be appreciative of how much we pay. If you are having those issues with members hitting on you, defiantly speak to Jesse, he will nip it in the ass quick. Don't assume things. You are right the Facility is nice and the Community is awesome, But how do you write that after bashing this man's business and persona. We are a family and large community here, if your issues are with him, address them and ask to speak to him. Not come out and bash him, that not cool.
