Family friendly, military friendly and all around lovely people. I have been coming here once a week for about 5 weeks and never had a problem with our order. They do some delicious breakfast wraps with a side of Hell Fire in the hot sauce. Never had an issue with our checkout order. The food is fresh and more than generous with the portions. I noticed somebody mentioning they did not get silverware till they were almost finished with their food. I account that being a complete troll because if you walk in the silverware is wrapped up neatly on the tables ready to go. Shame on you for trying to disparage a very well-run business. I'm always down for supporting local business and this little hole in the wall is the best place to get as close to Mexico food as you can. The staff is always super friendly, and despite the language barrier I never have a problem getting exactly what I wanted. I was so disgusted that I had to create an account solely to write this review. I took these picture in the restroom of this restaurant while looking for paper and was taken by surprise when I saw this, I don't understand why they are still open. Can't even image that being anywhere close to my food. ON TOP OF THIS the service was horrible. The waitress had the nastiest face and you could literally hear the workers arguing in the back. Truly unprofessional. 100% wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone!! I really wish I could give it less than 1 star. read more

Great tacos and lunch plates at this spot! We tried it in early January of 2014 and were very pleased. They have a really nice carnitas taco. Very traditional with Lime & Radish on the side and just onion & cilantro on the seasoned pork. We also had some guacamole and chips which were clearly fresh, homemade and very tasty! Stopped here with a group of 16 of us, for a bite to eat after a local spiritual event, in Newburgh; which we have a few times each year, every year. They didn't mind that we pushed more than half of the tables (in the place) together, so we could eat family style. We've been here before..so they kinda know us. Waitress was very patient with us and trying to figure out what we each wanted. We ordered and got our food fairly quickly, especially considering how many of us there was. I ordered 2 of the enchiladas pablano & 1 suiza. It came with refried beans, rice, Mexican style salad. I'd hoped to have had black beans instead, but they didn't have any..it was ok...all was very good. I can't even try to list everything else's food choices, but I don't believe that there was any duplicates...and EVERYONE was HAPPY, & STUFFED!!! So...their menu is kind of confusing and not translated very well, I ordered the "hand made quesadillas" since is how it shows in their menu but I got something very different and they remake my order but still charge me for it, even though is in the menu. So I wanted to like this place because I was craving quality Mexican food locally. Unfortunately they completely got our order wrong. BEWARE there are toppings on the food they do not list on the menu. With a few picky eaters it meant throwing away several of the items entirely. When I called and made a complaint with the gentleman we made the order with, he excused that the order was not correct on account of them being very busy and that he had not created the menu but items have "always come" with specific topics- admitting they were not listed on the menu. If I'm paying for my food, I'd like the right to not receive it with items that we have allergies to. He made no apologies. Will not return again!! read more

I am from San Diego and I can tell you that their carne asada tacos are the closest to real Mexican tacos that you can find in the Orange County area. Do yourself a favor and order these tacos. Looking for a place to eat close to our motel. This place is on a block of houses and other businesses. Parking around back. I ordered Chili Rellenos and wife had one of the combo platters. Both platters arrived hot and ready. Plenty to eat. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The only drawback if any was no alcohol on site. We loved the sauce used on the meal. Mom wanted enchiladas and I was not crazy about the other restaurants in the Newburgh area. We stopped here and had the BEST green enchiladas ever! I had the carnitas tacos and was so pleased that we have been there several times. Tried the picaditas and we are going for breakfast tomorrow... Food has always been fresh, tasty, and served promptly. Staff is friendly, caring and very accommodating. Every time I visit feel like I'm back home with my grandma cooking. This is a small place that is clean and friendly. The food is spectacular and authentic!! The tortilla chips come out warm and the salsa is delicious and homemade. Where do I start? My friend and I went on our lunch break, anxiously awaiting to try the food here, as per all those REVIEWS out there. She called in the order and it was somewhat ready by the time we got there. We thought we were good to go and off we were back to work with our food. I had ordered Flautas with french fries. Instead were what looked to be rolled wet burritos layered with re-fried beans, souping up the travel tray. I did not even get the french fries. My friend called them back up and they were terribly rude to her on the phone. They even told her she didn't even understand what a flauta was and she is from Mexico! They insisted terribly until the phone was passed to a more amicable employee. We had to return only to an infuriated lady who was so very angry and rude to us and told us we were WRONG we didn't order a FLAUTA which was ON THEIR MENU-- "DEEP FRIED CORN FLAUTAS STUFFED WITH BEEF OR CHICKEN"--She said that, THAT FLAUTA is called a " TACOS DORADOS"--which was NOT on their menu (Aren't they basically the same thing? why tell me it's one thing, when the thing I did order is ON THE MENU EXACTLY AS I ASKED FOR IT?). On top of that, the woman kept pounding her fist on the counter at me as if it was MY fault that they could not even make the Chalupas I ordered and did not even make my french fries. She kept saying CHOOSE CHOOSE WHAT ELSE WHAT ELSE...There was nothing else comparable to the price of the $6.00 Chalupa as that was basically the cheapest thing they had on the menu. So I asked to just throw a few more TACOS DORADOS in the box instead and she said NO WHAT ELSE WHAT ELSE! Oh my goodness...I just ended up settling for extra fries. OTHER than the terrible service and wasting our whole lunch time going back and forth...I would not bring the cooks into this adventurous mess(except one who kept giving me these awful nasty looks)...The FOOD WAS GOOD. I loveeeee this place! I hope it stays around. I usually order the chicken Enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce and it comes wih rice and beans. I live a town over that has two Mexican style restaurants but drive here for these enchiladas. The chicken is seasoned nicely and is soft, the sauce tastes homemade and not out of a jar, and the staff there is nice. read more
