Antipode is a very famous brunch spot in Montreal. Since I will be here for a few days, this is for sure on my list. We ordered the smoke salmon egg Benedict with asparagus add on, and yuzu pear French toast with pistachios latte. The egg benedict is the same as most benedict I had before, nothing really stand out. However, the pear French toast is extremely good. The mixture of pear, ice cream and French toast together are delicious, give me a touch of sweet and sour flavor together. The pistachios latte is a must try as well, almost all the tables ordered. I recommend if you want to try the pear French toast!!

I loved this place and I suggest anyone to at least try it once We came here on a Monday night very quick because there wasn't alot of ppl but I can say that the service was amazing, I think it was the owner serving us if I'm not mistaking but he was just awesome. If you love espresso martinis this is the place for you. They have 3 different espresso martinis which makes them unique, I tried the regular and Chai espresso martinis and it was so good, one of the beats I've had honestly in MTL. This place is also great for sharing, we got the yuzu ceviche which was amazing that we got a second one, it wasn't fishy at all, definitely a must try here. We got the Korean fried chicken and it was amazing aswell, very crispy on the inside and tender on the outside. The eggplant bites were also really good. The truffle noodles were to die for, so yummy. We also got the salmon tartare but that was okay nothing special. They also make a killer creme brulee. I felt like the presentation of each dish was also so nice and pretty. I definitely recommend anyone to come here, I will definitely come back here and they also do brunch during the day. It's a cute little gem that everyone needs to know about

Nice vibe. Great hangout. Quality drinks. Music fit the vibe of the place. Ordered a little bit of everything during my visit. Didn't disappoint.

Run don't walk! Antipode is by far one of the best brunch experiences I've had living in montreal. It's a quaint cozy restaurant. The service and food are amazing! The lattes are perfection both in looks and in taste (have the pistachio latte, you won't regret it). I am a sucker for good eggs benedict and Antipode's ham and asparagus with the most amazing sauce are sooo delicious - probably the best I've ever had. The croque madame is perfectly toasty! And the Yuzu French toast is so savory and the plating is so pretty. Grab your table early because the line will start forming soon after opening but it's so well worth the wait!

A fantastic way to start your day with delcious, creative brunch and incredible themed original drinks that we absolutely loved! We will definitely be back to try more food and drinks

Delicious brunch. I had the croque truffle which was delicious! The croque salmon was ok. The lavande de latte was delicious.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

Service was excellent. It was very busy when we arrived, but we were told it would only be a 10 minute wait. We sat outside on a bench, and waited to be called. I admired the ambiance as we were shown to our table. It was full, and noisy, but so much that we couldn't talk to each other. Bonus points for whoever designed the sound system that played 80s music during our visit. Enough speakers to fill the room with sound, and the system didn't need to played loud to be enjoyed. Coffee was superb. Just the right strength, with lovely notes of chocolate. I had the chicken melt, which was incredible. Real chicken pieces, sauce with a touch of heat, and toppings with just the right amount of savoury. Her panini was equally good. The star of the meal was the french roast. Heated all the way through, with the right balance of fruit, cheese, and syrop.

I stayed there recently, and on the morning of my check-out I received a phone call with devastating news about a life-threatening medical emergency in my immediate family. I was on the phone trying to resolve the problem with Emergency Room doctors and lost track of the time. When I received a call from the hotel management to inform me that I had overstayed my time in the room, I raced at lightening speed to clear out of the room. Minutes later, I cleared out of the room, which I left immaculate and ready to be sold to another guest. I departed the room well before the 4pm check-in time for new guests; I checked out just 2 hours late (literally it was 2 hours). They nonetheless slapped me with a $60 fine for this very small, very human error. It was one of the worst days of my life, I was in tears and begged them not to charge me. I am also disabled and they not only refused to remove the $60 fine, they also did not help me with my bags when my taxi came, they let me limp and drag my own luggage to the curb. I am beyond shocked at this cruelty and greed, at this utter lack of compassion and inability to relate to a fellow human being as anything other than a cash cow. I will never forget being treated this way when I was in distress. Also the breakfast is terrible and overpriced; the coffee was cold, the fruit was flavorless and dried out, there were few fresh and healthy choices, mostly ultra processed yoghurt and cereals, commercialized white bread. All for $25, way too much in a city with such incredible food. I do not enjoy giving negative reviews, and I tried to resolve this both in person and on the phone subsequently and was met with cold indifference at every turn.

The bar is first come, first served, so if you forget to book ahead, it's definitely worth trying your luck. You can still order anything from the full menu. The modern, upscale interior sets the tone for a fancy brunch experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. Foie gras for breakfast? Absolutely yes. They also have a full bar for anyone who wants something pretty to sip on while enjoying their meal. The servers were bilingual in French and English, and they were kind, attentive, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. My goal was to eat as much foe grais as I can on this trip so I ordered the Foie Gras Poached Eggs. OMG starting off with the bread that was on the bottom, it was so soft and fluffy. Literally melted in my mouth. The foie gras had a beautiful sear and was rich and silky, with a texture that honestly reminded me of ice cream. There was also a touch of sweetness in the sauce that cut through the richness in the best way. Every bite was perfectly balanced. I was super impressed and will absolutely try to visit again the next time I'm in Montreal.
