I had my daughters baptism this past weekend. My comadre said she would give me the cake...i didnt really know where a panaderia was around our area. Long story short she bought the cake at La Antigua & OMG this cake was finger licking good! Everyone at the party wanted seconds! I will now have to go & try their Mexican bread. Very satisfied! read more

Every single time I get a cake they always do it wrong it is unbelievable. Every single time I go in and specify what I want and they always seem to mess it up it's a very simple task when I say I do not want blue on the side of the cake. And when I pick it up it always has it. Never going back to this place. Also the people that are there helping are very very rude and not helpful and have poor customer service skills. read more

The cakes are good, but when it comes time to pick it up, the cake is never given to you in a timely manner.

They give you the complete opposite of what you order!! The cakes literally look like the ones from the memes "expectation vs reality" ‼

I went it and pre ordered a cake for my baby shower with a elephant design on it. They even took a picture of how i wanted it to look. When i received the cake it wasn't what i have ordered. read more

sadly I can't give this bakery a five, just because of the customer service, other than that the cakes in my opinion are better than any grocery store or the fondant cakes that I've had from private bakers, I do like a lot that they work with you if it's possible they let you create your own cake or give them ideas . I order this last cake for my daughters birthday party honestly I wasn't expecting it to come out so good, just because we pretty much "styled" the cake, the price is very affordable . Yes they need to create a better way of helping faster. read more

I've been here a couple of times thinking the next visit won't be as bad as the previous but it's just not going to change, unless their supervisor hires people who are genuinely professional and courteous to the store's patrons. I understand their working environment as I, myself, have worked with the public and there shouldn't be any exceptions for their unprofessionalism. On this occasion, I'm truly disappointed and vexed that I ordered a cake and was still obligated to bring my own filling(strawberries), apart from that nuts weren't added when they charged me for it and instead received a contemptuous response from one of the front ladies. read more

I was referred to Panaderia Antigua from several people for their great tasting cakes I finally decided to give them a try I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday a week before they asked me what time I needed my cake ready I had told them by 1 I arrived a 1:10 on February 16,2020 and I was told I still needed another 30 min left for my cake to ready I asked the employee why did they ask me what time I needed my cake ready if it wasn't going to be ready at that time!! Male employee didn't know what to say no apology no nothing!! I asked to speak with the manager he went back to get her and said the manager had said " I could either wait or come back" not very professional on her part!! I asked him again to tell her if I was getting a discount for having to come back because I wasn't going to waste my gas to come back he again went back to get the manager as I asked manager decided to finally come out after 5 min and asked very rudely "Who wanted to talk to me" I said I did she asked what I needed I told her I had asked employee to ask her if I was getting a discount because I wasn't going to come back and waste my gas I asked who what was the point of asking what time we needed our cakes done if it wasn't going to be ready at that time I told her I had reserved a place for my daughters birthday and I needed to be there at a certain time that's why I needed my cakes ready when I asked all she said was "well I can give you a 10% if you want she said I can't make the guy do it any faster because the way you ordered your cake is hard to do" i told her they should of told me that when I ordered it since the beginning but not once did they say it was hard or that they couldn't do it that way i wouldn't of ordered it there if it was hard for them she said very rudely once again " well I don't know why the girl didn't tell you" blaming it on the employee who took my order a manager should never blame there employees for anything I used to be an RGM at a restaurant and I would never blame my employees the way she did very unprofessional. After that i asked her how much time I had left since I had already been there for 45 min and they had told me I only needed 30 min left for my cake to be ready it should of been ready then she ignored me and said " ima do you discount" she took another 10 min trying to give me my discount of 10% woopdeedoo after she did all that she said "I'm going to check if he's almost done she went inside and took another 10 min she finally came out for my cake she just gave it to me and left not once did she or anybody working there apologized very bad customer service very un professional and very rude I will make sure i let everybody knows how bad this place is even the people who recommended me to them I will never get my cakes there again and i will make sure something gets done!!!!! read more

I expierenced great customer service, did not speak Spanish & they brought someone bilingual out. Which was great because I needed a very detail cake. When I picked up the cake it was super busy but they managed to get me in and out. Also the cake was very delicious, would definitely recommend due to the consistency of the cake & flavor! read more

First and LAST time ordering from this HORRIBLE place. I made a phone order and asked for my cake to be PURPLE and add extra strawberries (with extra charge) and they gave me a WHITE cake with 4 strawberries!! But it looks like I am not the only one that has had a problem. They do whatever they want, not even caring about their customers!! When i called to tell them about my cake the lady had the audacity to yell at me and say she was not going to do anything because she did not have the order in front of her since this was a phone order. Are you kidding me? I paid EXTRA for something I didn't even get. BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do not waste your time or money here and save yourself the trip. Go somewhere else. read more

Man this could be a really good bakery if they'd listen to their customers. The tres leches cake they make here is really delicious but when it comes to decorating the cakes, they're not too good on that. Sometimes it seem like they don't even listen to when you tell them on how you want your cake to be decorated. Everything else is fine, just ordering a cake from here can be hassle if you want a nice decoration on your cake. read more

Twice I have ordered from this place and both times they have screwed up. One cake was for a quinceñera and the other for a birthday party. The problem with this bakery isn't their cakes. It's the people working there. With the birthday cake they didn't provided any form of resolving the problem that would provide a happy customer in the end. And whoever I was talking to had the audacity to call me a liar. DO NOT ORDER YOUR CAKES FROM THIS PLACE!!! read more

Their cakes are amazing but their customer service isn't the best); this is the second time we get our cake messed up, we even went in person ahead of time to place the order and tell them exactly how we want them and they didn't do a good job at the decoration part, and we told the workers and they didn't know what to say or what to do, they didn't even know what "putting effort" meant, it's sad to know how this bakery has changed ever since they remodeled and added more staff, when we went to go pick up our cake there was staff just standing around not knowing what to do, and a worker name Maria is just with her mad face not wanting to help customers, she is giving Antigua Bakery a bad reputation, hope one day they could fix this problem read more

Stopped by here around 2PM to buy telera for the tortas. They were all sold out pretty much by then. Bummer. I was surprised as it is a bakery after all, and they close at 8:30PM. I didn't think I'd be running into that problem. Managed to scrounge up last 4 pieces of telera. Since it was my first time in the shop, I was intrigued by a few Mexican pastries in the cases and also wanted to know if they carried pumpkin empanadas. The cashier seemed very rushed and eager to return to the back of the shop and not interested in helping me. Limited pastry options (a few donuts, generic Mexican cookies, empanadas, cakes) but good prices on the items I got: 4 telera, 1 donut, 1 cookie, 1 bolillo for 2 something. read more

Came in to order 2 cakes for 2 different events. I waited in line for 20 minutes. We discussed what we wanted on the cake with the girl who I thought was taking our order. She then proceeds to tell me that we have to have a seat and wait before she can take our order. We had already waited in line and had already given her the details of the cake. The people sitting in the chairs she directed us to wait in had already been there since we showed up. It should not take over 40 minutes to take an order for a cake. Their customer service is terrible. read more

Cake was so delicious, beautiful and. Decent price was a hit with everyone. 3 layers gone, 1st layer tres leches with cajeta y nuez, second layer tres leches with cajeta and peach, third layer tres leche cajeta, piña y coco (favorite) read more

They have the best Tres Leches cakes me and my family go buy cakes from here about once a month just because they're delicious. 10/10 would recommend. If you need a last minute tres leches cake they can also decorate it with a happy birthday message on the spot. read more

I will not lie the cakes there are delicious ! BUT ! The customer service has gone down the drain . The ladies there helping you are rude . They give you a crappy cake for an expensive price, keep you waiting for 30mins because they are rushing to finish it even though you preordered it days in advance. They bring the cake out looking like a 5 year old wrote it and have the audacity to say if It was okay and that if i was going to want changes it would be extra ! WHAT THE HECK! Who does that? Horrible ! Horrible ! Horrible ! I always got my cakes from here since they opened and I am sad to say I will never be returning again . read more

Their cakes are one of the best I've had. On the other hand, I think their prices went up a lot and their quality went down in the last year. I used to drive from south Phoenix all the way to them but I dont think it's worth it anymore. Their customer service could be much better. read more

Never again!! I walked in and 3 staff were behind the counter but not 1 of them greeted me. I was the only customer in the bakery and stood there for almost 10 minutes while all 3 staff ignored me. I asked twice if they were still open (it was an hour before closing) and no one even answered me! One girl just stared at me. I finally walked out as a man and his son walked in. Before I had started my car the man walked back out, cake in hand. I'm not sure if they only sell to people they know it if the problem is I am white, but I will NEVER go back and discourage anyone else from going either!! read more

Good bread and tres leches cake but if you want a cake for a special event they suck at decorating the cake,,, really bad costumer service

Best Tres Leches cake in all Phoenix. Not a 5 star because the cashier is not the best at customer service.

Worst customer service. I ordered a cake two weeks in advance, i even came back a week before the party to order the full sheet instead of the half. They didnt have a problem taking more money towards the deposit. So the day of my sons party, my husband shows up and its the wrong cake. I show up, and the cashier who took the order says that the cake we ordered was different than the one we wanted because the one we wanted was a special order and we needed to email the picture. They could've told us that the day we were placung our order. My husband pointed at the cake he wanted that was right there in their fridge. So then they werent even sure if it was the same filling i had ordered. It was 5:30, they wanted me to come back at 8 so they could re do the exterior but they weren't sure if it was going to be the right flavor. So they couldn't guarantee anything. By this time i just wanted my deposit back because i was not about to pay $128 for a half assed cake. The manager did not return my deposit. We ended up going elsewhere last minute. With a two week notice, they should've had this order right. The cashier was absolutely rude in every way possible, maybe they should consider hiring people that actually listen, and give you all the information. Good bakery for an in and out concha, but I wouldn't trust them for a special event. read more

I have been ordering cakes from here for 3 years now and for the first two years the cakes were amazing and they were at a really great price they gave me no hassle and they made the cakes beautifully in the last year or so I'm not sure if they changed management someone else took over butt the service and the prices have changed the prices have gone up and they offer you less this last time was the last straw I will no longer order a cake from them I went in and I ask to make a cake a simple marble cake with strawberry feeling and strawberries on top of the cake they told me if I wanted to have strawberries on the cake I would have to bring in my own strawberries if I'm going 2 Bakery to have a cake made and I'm paying over $100 4 a cake why do I have to bring in my own strawberries that's ridiculous. And the crazy part is I ordered this exact same cake 2 months prior in October I will no longer go here I have bought probably over 20 cakes from here before but the way Bakery is being ran now sucks read more

The worst customer service. Their cashiers are extremely rude. I was asking for an estimate on the price of a cake, but they were unable to provide one. I went back on the day they told me they would be able to provide one, but the owner wasn't there and again I wasn't able to get a price. The worst customer service ever! El peor servicio!! read more
