We came to Anthropologie in particular to look at wedding dresses! My gf has an elopement at city court kind of vibe and she was looking for something tea length. You have to book an appointment for them to help you, she said it was easy to schedule. They had lots of dress types and it was so fun to see, I had no idea. The prices ranged from the $200s + although the majority of them were over $500. The service was ok, our lady was nice, she brought the dresses my friend wanted and we sat in a small room in the back, the couch was not comfy or inviting. The mirror was nice and had two panels to the side for multi angle viewing. She actually DID end up saying yes to the dress here but nothing special for this from them, which I guess is fine, but a missed opportunity on the customer service side in my opinion. For such a momentous occasion why not make her feel extra special for having selected THE dress at your establishment. Was left feeling underwhelmed and semi disappointed but it was good overall and we are happy she picked her dress! read more

On April 20, 2023 I encountered discrimination from a mid-40s, Caucasian female with brunette hair employee. We entered the store and immediately the employee said they were closed, even though it was not 9:00pm, which is the posted store closing hours. She was aggressive and extremely rude, and push us out the front door. One of the worst and belittling experience. The service was so bad I want to give it a zero, but that's not possible so I give it a 1. I'm extremely disappointed by the way I was treated by the sales clerk and store manager, Giselle Albidrez, at the Scottsdale Fashion location. When using a gift card I received for my birthday to buy a blouse, the clerk scratched off the PIN, making it unusable. I find it deplorable the clerk made my gift card unusable, and did not adequately address her mistake. Ms. Albidrez asked for my, name, phone number and email address so that "they will email me a gift card". No apologies and definitely did not go out of her way to make sure I was able to leave the store happily with the blouse I wanted to purchase. Her behavior was unprofessional and rude, and I left the store feeling disrespected. I expect better from a brand like yours. read more

First time ever in anthropology and u have to say I might be hooked. The quality of these clothes is insane. They do a fabulous job offering a mixed variety of clothing and styling them to give off Sophia Richie core. Cathy was so so so amazing with me in the dressing room as she made me feel super special, always making sure to refer to me by name. I was so impressed how Cathy was able to get a feel for my style so quickly and even pick out some pieces for me herself. The items are pricier ranging from 78-200 a piece, but they are again such good quality and the perfect medium between sexy, modest, trendy, and classic. read more

went into Anthropologie and spent almost $500 on a jacket and a couple shirts. It took a minute and a half for the cashier to have me come up to her after she finished helping another customer. I told her I had items under my name behind the counter and I could see them behind her but instead of grabbing them, she went to the back and came back two minutes later. Finally, I said my items are right there (pointing). She grabbed them and started checking me out, but didn't say anything to me. I asked if there were any discounts or coupons and tried to make light of it but it didn't work. She just said no and totaled my things up and then, she put all of my items which included a leather jacket in to a Small bag. Items were overflowing from the bag so I asked if I could have a larger bag and she replied yes. Customer service was not the best considering I spent over almost $500. read more

How to describe anthro? Casual boho chic clothing at a _not_ so affordable price. The very best candles you can find for your home (say goodbye to cheap scents or wax induced headaches). Sophisticated, feminine and casual home decor inspiration. Coffee table books, server dishes, bedding, lampshades galore! This place is not cheap, but I love everything in it! Only shop sales, unless you have money to spare. Even then, you may find it hard to drop $60 on a cotton shirt... Also, beware the scarves, belts, hats and purses. I have tons of them and have yet to wear half. It is the ultimate guilty pleasure for the modern faux-hippie chick. As for this location: I like the Fashion Square Anthro because it has an outside entrance separate from the main mall. Also, it seems to carry more candles and house items than other locations in the Valley. However, if I want clothing I will visit other stores. The sales rack here is way too popular and you have to compete with other ladies. read more

Poor Customer Service. I walked into the store and a sales associate made eye contact, but just kept walking and seemed annoyed. Secondly, I felt as though I was being watched the whole time as if I were stealing or something. Finally, as I was checking out I was very friendly to the cashier, even said "hello, how are you doing?" and was ignored. My review is purely based on a single experience of kindness. My daughter accidentally broke an expensive Christmas ornament. We immediately started cleaning it up and I was ready to take it up to the register for a shame purchase. Not 10 seconds into my cleanup did the manager (I think) sweetly touch my shoulder. She kindly told me that it wasn't a big deal, they would have it cleaned up for me and I could continue shopping. 08/12/11 Found a few beautiful blouses and a wonderful floral embroidered skirt from the sale racks here last week. However, after wearing one of the blouses for a few hours (two, at the most) one day, I noticed terrible pilling (almost lint-y, as if someone emptied the dryer's lint guard and brushed it against the blouse, where the blouse then acquired a layer of lint on it). I figured if this happened to one of the two blouses of the same fabric, then the other would eventually have the same fate, so I decided I'd return them all- even the adorable skirt, with its delicate embroidery that already made me paranoid of snagging a thread if I brushed against something, and I hadn't even tried to wear it! The sales clerk behind the counter didn't even bat an eye and accepted all of the unused items PLUS the one I'd already worn! What a great return policy-- I didn't expect it since I'd already worn the outfit (I was hoping!), so it really was a nice surprise. While my luck wasn't so great the last time I bought clothing here, I'd still return and try my luck again, as the items I find are usually different than what I spot at other clothing stores. read more

As much as I care for you, I feel like your clothes are terribly overpriced and I wonder who can afford to keep you in the lifestyle to which you've become accustomed. I could do some major damage to my wallet if my retail will power had the day off and I was let lose in Anthropologie. This shop is my happy place. If I ever want to window shop and browse some cute items, I visit Anthropologie. If I am ever looking for a cute dress to wear to a classy day event, I know I can count of Anthropologie. And if I ever need to find a little gift, I know I can count on this store. The only problem with Anthropologie is that it's not cheap. Everything is pricey and the only times it becomes more reasonably priced is when there's a major sale (normally around Christmas) and when the clothing goes on sale. However, if I'm looking for quality I know I can come here. Anthropologie has some of the cutest displays I've ever seen. It smells delicious inside and I wish I could be as creative with my own house as they are with their stores! read more

This review is two-fold. Part one - about the store: This is my all-time favorite store to window-shop in. I can only dream of the day when I win the lottery and can afford to purchase all the beautiful clothing, accessories, and home decor. To be fair, not everything is highly priced, and they have a large selection of sales items that are within my budget...but I swear, if I won the lottery, it would be my first stop (2nd stop, Z Gallery). It's always beautifully decorated and has a lovely cozy/eclectic feel to it that I absolutely adore. They also carry my favorite perfume there. As a general rule, I never buy myself perfume, because I always get some for Christmas (this is on the xmas list this year!), but the sales associates always look the other way when I come in just to spray it on myself before going out for the night...tacky, I know...but it smells sooooooo delicious. Part two - My apologies to the sales associates that delt with my crabby, frustrated, snotty attitude the night you couldn't find the item I had put on hold. Apparently, a friend had come in to purchase the item as a gift to me. After searching forever, one sales clerk 'in the know', finally came over and explained that the item had been purchased as a gift, and warned me to act surprised. I sheepishly left, but still feel that an apology is due. The sales clerks handled my attitude graciously and courteously, and I wanted to recognize that as a HUGE reason why I will continue to frequent this amazing store (sorry again!!). :) read more

Although the clothes and home hoods are unique and very nice, the reason I gave it 5 stars is for the customer service. The sales clerks are so friendly and helpful. I purchased a pair of pants that didn't have a tag on them and of course those were the pair that didn't fit. I was so worried they would not take them back without a tag. To my surprise the sales girl did not even blink an eye and was happy to return. One of the best sales team in the mall.. and I frequent quite often. I placed my very first order with Anthropologie online. My account was charged almost $200. And my order was canceled. I called to see what was going on with my order and why it was canceled. The person I spoke with was a supervisor named Tasha she said my order was canceled because of a negative review on Account due to previous orders. I informed her that this was my very first order. That I was charged for my order and not refunded, said "oh well."So I'm hoping that I get a refund. I will never be placing an order online again with this company when there are so many others to choose from with much better service! read more

I love this store. I love everything in it, from the clothes, to the jewelry, to the house items. At the risk of sounding like a complete lunatic, I even love the smell of Anthropologie. It must be their candles or lotion or something. This store makes me happy the minute I go in...I swear, this place is like crack (not that I would know what crack is like, it's just super addictive)! I go in there when I've had a bad day, and it immediately cheers me up. I don't know how people can work there and not go completely bankrupt. Their sales are great, definitely worth waiting for because they usually mark stuff 50% off when it goes on sale. You just have to try and refrain from not wanting to buy the whole sale rack and put it on your credit card! I like it because their stuff is different and unique, and feminine without being over the top and too lacy/frilly. The clothes are well made, they have an almost tailored feel to them. The staff are friendly and very helpful and attentive without being pushy. I can't say enough good things about this store. I just wish they'd put one at the Biltmore so it would be closer to my side of town....but then again, maybe it's a good thing to keep some distance..... read more

This anthro is the bomb. It's a bigger store and has THE BEST sale rack. Seriously. I think only the San Francisco store has a bigger sale area, but they don't have a lot of sizes or some of the newer sale items. I loved coming here when I was in AZ visiting my cousins and finding all the goodies on sale (and not). I just feel bad for my wallet when I walk in. (The credit card companies are super happy though. :( ) I also just recently had some items shipped from this store. I had wanted some things online that weren't in stock anymore and I called the customer service #. They told me Scottsdale had one or two of the items I was looking for, so I got everything I wanted online here! Free shipping since the online store didn't have anything. The sales girl helping me was so sweet in finding all 4 sale items in my size and was great about calling me back to tell me my total before they processed my order. I had an unfortunate experience here today. I went in for an online return and decided to shop around a bit. I had my kids with me, none of which were out of control. The sales associates were rude and unhelpful. I had a handful of items to try on and one sales girl walked by me noticed my full hands, and asked someone else if she could get a dressing room started for them. I was never asked how I was doing in the dressing room or if I needed different sizes. was being shunned for bringing my children with me. Don't bring your children with you here or you will be treated very poorly. read more
