Extremely Disappointing Experience
I want to share my personal experience because I would not want another homeowner to go through what I went through.
In my experience, this contractor is a liar. He lied to me repeatedly. Every time I was given a promise, there seemed to be another excuse, another story, or another reason why the work was delayed. I was told one thing, then another thing later, and then another excuse after that. It became extremely frustrating and, in my opinion, completely unprofessional.
Honestly, after dealing with him, I felt like lying to customers was simply part of the way he does business. I felt that I could not trust what he was telling me because his promises repeatedly did not match what actually happened. A promise from him meant very little to me after everything I experienced.
He may sometimes offer a lower price than other HVAC companies, but in my experience, the lower price is not worth the stress, wasted time, frustration, and money. Please do not make the same mistake I made by trusting verbal promises and paying a large amount upfront.
In my case, he originally told me that replacing the outside AC unit would be enough and that I would not need to replace the furnace. I trusted his professional opinion. Almost a year later, I now have to replace the furnace as well. At the beginning, I was told everything was professionally handled and that there would be no problems, but my experience turned out very differently.
What frustrated me the most was the constant excuses and broken promises. I repeatedly heard what I believe were lies about when the work would be completed and what was actually being done. I kept giving him opportunities to make things right, but the situation continued.
I personally feel that this business was built around telling customers what they want to hear instead of delivering what was promised. That is my opinion based on my direct experience with him.
If you are considering hiring him, please be extremely careful. Get everything in writing, get an independent HVAC inspection, verify exactly what work is needed, and do not rely only on his word.
