Normally I wouldn't write a review such as this but I've had enough. If you walk into a cigar shop you're going to hear some salty language but it's wedge but it's so repetitive repetitive here. The 1st thing I heard when I opened the door and walked in was... I f'ing hate that f@gg@t...Bryce Harper as the baseball game was on the TV. Whoever the dude is in the Astros has that took my money, dropped my cigar on the floor, and didn't even say thank you needs to be relieved of his duties... He has absolutely no sense of situational awareness. He used the F bomb twice while checking me out. Not talking directly to me the entire transaction. Straight forward, polite staff that won't shove propoganda at you (unlike this site apparently). Was waited on quickly by a knowledgeable and polite young man, although they were busy with another customer, and had men puffing away in the lounge (love that smell). Perfect setting. LARGE humidor, though narrow. I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted, received excellent suggestions, and found the prices fair (around $7 a stick); had what I needed! The son of the owner who happened to work that day was very helpful while making choices on which cigars to buy. He was very informative and descriptive about the cigars that he recommended that my friend and I ended up buying most of the recommendations, and all cigars were excellent to my liking. I have been to many cigar shops, but this is the first review I made on a cigar shop. And no other cigar shops took the time to explain each and every cigar with passion. I was just in Anthony's to buy some cigars. So disappointed. Its definitely gone down hill. I've been going there for years and today was probably my last. The young man was a bit helpful but not as much as I've seen in the past. At a business like Anthony's you have to know your stuff, and he knew very little. Besides that, it was pretty disgusting to walk in and see a gentleman with his nasty bare feet up on the table like he was at home. Not good business. So long Anthony's. I called to ask if they carried a specific cigar in bundles and the gentleman that answered the phone acted like I he didn't have time to speak with me. After, begrudgingly, telling me they carried the cigars I was looking for, I asked how much they were. His exact answer was, "I don't know... Probably around a hundred bucks." Probably? Like, you can't tell me how much a pack of twenty cigars is? I thanked him for his guess and, as he hung up the phone, he made some disparaging statement about 'that type of phone call'. I'd rather have a cigar put out in my eye than deal with a business like Anthony's! They're just too good for me, obviously. read more

The location on Oracle contains good cigars, the pipe tobacco I have yet to smoke, however, the aromas offered appear to be amazing. The customer service was pretty good, I was able to find good tobacco with the help of a fantastic employee. Problem was, he was wearing a Bankees cap, and for that alone I gotta take off a star. read more

Went in with high hopes but was let down. Three stars because the gentleman that owns the place seemed very knowledgeable and we had a good conversation, in which I learned a lot! And a good conversation is worth a lot to me. Thats why it near crushes me to give this place anything less than 4 stars but there is good reason-- a reason that I hope is not the norm and if not then I hope has been rectified. The reason for my 3 stars is due to the fact that both sticks I purchased were dry as a bone! I've never had to go back to this area for training so I cannot comment on how it is now -- this was probably 4-5 months back. The $10 stick I got I smoked about half way down cause I aimed to smoke that night but I just couldn't finish it as harsh as it was dry. The $40 stick I bought I just couldnt do that to it, so I brought it home and lovingly placed it in my own humidor and nursed it back to life over about a month, then saved it for a farewell smoke when my brother-in-law movex away a few weeks ago -- you'll be happy to know it was as tasty as a $40 cigar should be, and it pulled just like it should have out of a perfectly humid environment! read more

This is the best cigar emporium in Arizona and possibly the US! Mike is extremely helpful when you call and make orders for delivery. He is able to give you deep discounts and the cigars are in great condition. I have bought full boxes as well as 20-25 assorted cigar shipments and they always have given me a great deal. Shipping is quick in AZ, like one day and when I moved to Hawaii it takes only 2-3 days! Highly recommended!! Only place I buy bulk cigars. read more

I was a loyal customer until the following incident. I was with a friend smoking cigars I had just purchased from Anthony's. Mine was ok but after a few minutes, my friend said "I just can't smoke this cigar! Somethings wrong with it. I can't get the wrapper to stay on." I examined it and yep, there was a serious defect. I returned it to Anthony's and politely asked that they replace it. The person behind the counter said no he couldn't replace it because it had been smoked. I said how would I tell you there was a problem if it hadn't been smoked? Seriously the cigar had been "attempted" to be smoked about 5 minutes before my friend gave up. A place that treats customers like this doesn't deserve our business. read more

Anthony's Oracle location is like night and day when compared to their Grant location. The selection in their huge walk in humidor was great, the lounge was big enough and they had good outdoor seating. All of that aside the service was outstanding. Anthony (not the owner, the manager I believe) was very attentive and friendly, but not overly bothersome. The other customers were also friendly and welcoming. My only complaint was the patio seating was facing a very busy intersection, not a huge issue but not as relaxing as it could be, other than that this place and the staff were great.
