I never have a problem with the cashiers as they are ALL very nice, friendly, smiling & ready to answer any questions you may have. on the other hand, my "customer service" issues & this review is based on when I first come into the store. to my left there is an area where managers/supervisors are standing. sometimes they are doing something for the store I'm sure but MOST of the time, they are just standing around talking. never once, NEVER have I been greeted be anyone behind that desk when I come in. NEVER!!! i kept giving them chances to prove me wrong but NOPE still no , hellos, how are you today etc. you know, the greeting that a person who practices excellent customer service would do. these are managers. i say seriously? i guess i'm glad the manager's attitudes & lack of great customer service doesn't trickle down to their associates. phew! i am so thankful for that. maybe the associates need to train the managers? just saying. just once, just once greet YOUR customers with a smile & a hello when they walk in. is that so hard????????? i would stop shopping there except your prices are easy on my senior income. i don't recommend your store to anyone because i don't want them to experience what i do from your higher staff members. shame on all of them. the associates on the floor, as well, don't look at you, smile, say hello NOTHING!!! maybe they are looking to be promoted to managers & they will with their lack of attention to the people who put $$ in your register. just saying. i spoke to the manager of the store, one time quite a while back, because she was my cashier. i told her about the people on the floor & she said she'd talk to everyone about that. well, if she did or not, no one listened. :( i really do hope & pray, someone will look into my concerns & maybe, just maybe correct this. if one day i walk in there & someone at that first area to my left, acknowledges me, i will be very happy & then probably faint. :) i have said what i needed to say. please make my next trip to total wine & more a pleasant experience. This shop has a terrific selection of great quality wines. I recommend it for anyone who wants something special that your local grocery store doesn't provide. And their service associates are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. Really decent prices to boot. Haven't noticed any increases due to "tariffs" so drink French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish to your palates delight! The location is fairly central, plenty of parking and really generous hours. One of the largest selection of wine, beer and spirits in Tucson with a large selection of local, domestic and international products. I was able to find one of my favorite beer brands here (Boulevard). They do free wine/ spirits and beer tastings on the weekends in case you want to try something new. The store is well organized, prices quite reasonable, and the store is clean and spacious. Staff are helpful and resourceful. They also have classes ( I haven't attended but will be in the near future). Ample parking available. read more

Absolutely awful and intrusive customer service. One of the store managers (the same one on several different occasions) comes into the humidor to do a clearly fake check of something when I am browsing cigars. I only buy high end Padron 1964s and this guy just comes in to hang out because he is doing some theft check on me. It is rude, insulting and annoying. In addition, he knows literally nothing about cigars and is proud of telling you that he has never smoked one. Avoid this store for cigars--they are disrespectful and unhelpful. Usually we either shop locally from Time Market, Plaza Liquors and West Bound, but Total Wine does happen to have a solid inventory of Italian wines, namely from Piemonte, at a more competitive price. They have some excellent Barolo, Nebbiolo and Barbara's. Their customer service is also attentive and the staff we've interacted with are knowledgeable and friendly. My husband is now a fan of their points system that can give you access to special bourbons, etc. read more

OMG this store was AMAZING!!!! So much booze in here & cute little gadgets, gifts, cups, party stuff, etc to buy. It was nice and clean. Isle were labeled & workers were around to ask for help. They carry a little electronic device that they can plug in what your looking for & it will tell them what isle it is in and how many they currently have. They also have a cooler with items that you can buy cold. Great place to grab something cold on your way to a party or to your friend's house. They have a ton of nips you can buy. They had like two stands full, see my photo's. Lots of ones to buy for .99 cents. They make a great gift. I've bought a few to place in a basket to give as a Christmas gift. People get enough to sample before buying a big bottle of something. I picked up a few different vodka flavors to bring back home. We have these stores in Vegas. I don't go in them much cause I find them a little pricey then another liquor store in Vegas but it sure is a fun store to go get lost in!! lol I definitely will be hitting up this store in Vegas before Christmas for gifts. read more

Tell me why you have to spend thousands of dollars in a year at Total Wine just be able to have access to a top shelf, specialty bottle from this company?? Can't order Blanton's, Stagg, Weller, Russell reserve 15 year, old Fitzgerald 13... Any good whiskey they will not sell to regular customers!! They will only sell you these if you become Thier top tier rewards member which translates to spending thousands of dollars each year to maintain their status lever, just to order really good whiskey, it's a shame they do not care about Thier regular customers, only the rich, proves to us they only care about how much $ they can get off you, but too stupid to sell a $1000 bottle to anyone that can pay $1000!!!!!!! Should be first come first serve!!!! But this place, if you give them lots money they will go out of Thier way for you, but not if your a regular customer! Way to make your regular customers feel like less.! I stopped giving this company my money! I go to small mom and pop shops! We were visiting the area and needed supplies, hehe! My husband and I were so impressed with the stock of wines. which was extensive. We also had great customer service by Marty when we came to the booth with questions about a tequila that was on special and they offered samples of it, so we could 'try before ya buy! ' Marty was fantastic, fun humor and answered questions we had. I likely wouldn't buy such a bottle before trying it, so they are smart to have the tasting experience. Total Wine is my go-to for all adult beverages, though I do get some commodity items at Costco. I also get the occasional cigar from their humidor. I recently tried their online ordering and it is definitely worth checking out. I have been looking for some time for Nikka Coffey Whisky, and every time I stopped by they didn't have it in stock. I check online a few weeks ago, and it was in stock! I ordered online, went to the counter back by the humidor, picked up my bottle and walked out the door! Totally painless. Side note: this is quite possibly the smoothest tasting whisky I've ever tasted in my lifetime. It would be a great "first time" whisky for someone, because there is no harshness or bite at all. I recently gained a taste for Sazerac cocktails, and of course you need Peychaud's bitters (accept no substitutes!!) and the only place I could find them is Total Wine. Therefore, I should revisit the store as I learn about other choices! ADDT'L COMMENT: You should try UofA Liquors at 1002 E 6th Street, Tucson, AZ 85719. UofA is definitely NOT a "Total Wine + More." Where there's a will, there's a wine! They always have what I'm looking for since the store is so huge. I appreciate the wine tastings they offer inside and have been introduced to some of my favorite bottles here. I'm starting to go more often to see the sales and pick up wine and wine accessories in preparation for Christmas, and I really appreciate the variety they have to offer. Prices range from around $7 to "don't even touch the bottle". I find the staff to be knowledgeable and friendly. I have big plans to buy one in particular my friend recently recommended by Caymus. TW&M is huge. It's a big box chain, and that's not so bad because it allows them to have almost anything you'd want. The selection of wine, beer, and spirits here is top notch. The frequent tastings near the entrance are great, and the people pouring are usually pretty great. My only gripe is if you ever ask an employee for suggestions, you'll almost always be pushed toward a Winery Direct label which is their house brand. This isn't all bad and there are lots of great options, but it's definitely buyer beware especially in the spirits area. If you think "Gee, I've never heard of this brand!" you're probably right because no one else sells it. That being said, if you're looking for something specific the employees are pretty knowledgeable and will help you out as much as they can. It's a convenient location, and they've usually got what I want. What else can you ask for? read more
