She takes the time to make you feel comfortable, explains everything clearly, and makes you feel like you're in the best possible hands. I loved her care so much that I followed her from San Francisco to Willow Glen Dental, and I would honestly fly to LA if that's where she moved next! That's how much I trust her and value the care she provides. I recommend her to absolutely everyone I know because finding a dentist this wonderful is truly rare. If you're looking for a dentist who is not only exceptional at what she does but also genuinely cares about her patients, Dr. Leslie Tam is the one. Willow Glen Dental is lucky to have her, and I can't recommend her highly enough. 1000% recommend!

If you're someone who has dental anxiety, or you've put off going to the dentist for years because…read moreyou're scared, embarrassed, or worried about being judged, this review is for you. I had excellent dental care growing up until I was about 14, but I also had a traumatic experience as a child when I flipped over my bike, knocked several teeth out, and had to be strapped into a chair while a dentist worked on them. That experience stayed with me. After my parents divorced, going to the dentist stopped being a priority, and despite brushing my teeth every day, I avoided dental visits for years. Eventually, I started having tooth pain and assumed I had one bad tooth. It turned out I needed two root canals and multiple fillings. To say I was terrified would be an understatement. One of the biggest fears about returning to the dentist after a long time is the feeling that you'll be judged. Dr. French completely erased that fear. She has been nothing but kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring from day one. She's the type of person who instantly makes you feel comfortable, and honestly, she's just an incredibly cool person. The hygienists and the rest of the staff are just as wonderful. Every single person in the office is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel like they genuinely care about you. The office itself is beautiful and has such a calming atmosphere. Then there's the fear of pain. I can honestly say I experienced virtually none. Dr. French referred me to Dr. Baines at San Jose Endodontics for my root canals, and I couldn't have asked for a better referral. Both root canals were completely painless. They prescribed ibuprofen afterward, and I never even needed it. Back at Willow Glen Dental, I was also genuinely impressed by how much they've invested in technology. It's not just a beautiful office--it feels like they've made a real commitment to giving patients the best experience possible. After my root canals, they digitally scanned my teeth, designed my crowns, and milled them right there in the office. I took about an hour to an hour-and-a-half break, came back, and had both permanent crowns placed that same day. No temporary crowns. No waiting weeks. As someone who hadn't been to the dentist in years, I had no idea dentistry had come this far, and it made the entire process incredibly convenient. The same was true for my fillings and every other procedure I've had. Throughout every appointment, the team made sure I was comfortable, answered every question, and never rushed me. Yesterday I finished the restorative portion of my treatment plan after about a year and a half of care. Dr. French joked, "Last round!" and then laughed that I was probably tired of seeing them. I surprised myself with my response: "Honestly... I used to have really bad dental anxiety, and now I don't." And I truly meant it. That's one of the greatest gifts this office has given me. They didn't just fix my teeth--they completely changed how I feel about going to the dentist. I never thought I'd be someone who could walk into a dental appointment feeling relaxed, but that's exactly how I feel now. I've already recommended Willow Glen Dental and Dr. French to several friends, and I'll continue recommending them to anyone who asks. (Just don't book Dr. French too solid--I still need my appointments! ) As long as I live in the Bay Area, this is where I'll be coming for my dental care. Dr. French is nothing short of amazing. I don't know what kind of magic she works, but she's incredible. Thank you, Dr. French, Dr. Baines, and the entire Willow Glen Dental team for giving me back not only my smile, but my confidence and peace of mind. 10/10. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Dr. Annie and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr. Annie checked in with me throughout the entire process, which made a huge difference. The extractions were surprisingly fast! Each one took less than 5 minutes. The pain was completely manageable! Nothing like the horror stories I'd been told. The recovery was also very smooth with zero complications, and I've already scheduled a follow up to have the wisdom teeth on the other side done. I went back today for my follow up checkup and cleaning. I know my teeth were in rough shape after so many years. I can only imagine what she was dealing with. But all she said was, "Looks like you haven't been in for a cleaning in a while." That's it. No lecture, no judgment, just kindness. I really appreciated that more than I can say. For years, scary stories kept me away from the dentist, and that was a mistake. If I'd known how easy and welcoming it would be, I would have come here long ago.

It's rare that I leave a low-rating review. I'm a huge supporter of women-owned and local…read morebusinesses, but after my experience with All Smiles Family Dentistry, I feel it's important to share my story. I originally visited because of a painful cracked tooth. From the beginning, I explained my fear of dentists due to past experiences. I'll take responsibility for avoiding routine visits, but all I asked for was patience, communication, and explanations before procedures. Annie recommended extracting the cracked tooth and performing two root canals with crowns. The estimated cost was over $5,000 + with insurance. The shock of the sticker price I tried to lighten the mood I jokingly said, "Well, I guess I'm rich and somebody has to pay for that Porsche out back, right? So I guess we're doing this!"... Apparently, my comedy career wasn't taking off that afternoon...... Anyways, I was referred to another specialist for the extraction and implant, costing an additional $4,000. Credit where it's due, that experience was fantastic! Professional, efficient, and comfortable. Now, back to the remaining dental work. During an afternoon appointment, Annie appeared rushed while managing several patients, speaking with her assistant, making phone calls and stepping away to see another patient. Leaving me sitting for approximately 10 minutes with my mouth open, open tooth root exposed and dental equipment still in my mouth. After seeing the other patient Annie came back and aggressively got to work with the root canal that when I suddenly experienced an incredibly sharp pain that felt like an electrical shock through my entire body. I don't know what happened medically, but my heart began racing, and I genuinely felt like my heart might be exploding. Without question, the worst pain I've ever experienced. I tried calming myself enough for her to finish. Yet immediately afterward, the receptionist made sure I signed a liability waiver for the second time. Given what had just happened, the timing caught my attention. Unfortunately, my heart continued racing, and my blood pressure wouldn't settle down. I eventually went to the ER for medical attention. At the time, I didn't know I had high blood pressure, something I later discovered and communicated to the dental office. Afterward, I intentionally started scheduling morning appointments, hoping for a calmer experience. However, some visits lasted what felt like seconds, with little explanation of their purpose. Time lost at work only to prewarm the dentist's seat for the next patient. Again, communication was all I was asking for. Nearly six months later, after numerous appointments, delays, pre-warming seat for patients and issues with the sizing of my replacement tooth, the implant crown and both root canal crowns were finally completed. You'd think the adventure was over. But wait! There's more! I noticed the two crowns didn't look or feel natural, felt overly bulky and bite was off and hurting my other teeth. Something I mentioned during my appointment which Annie 'adjusted' quickly yet still wasn't feeling right. Their shape and definition weren't quite right, especially considering the investment in restoring three teeth. I understand dentists manage multiple patients, but being left mid-procedure without an explanation wasn't reassuring. At that point, I was considering charging rent for how much time I'd spent in that chair. Unfortunately, my concerns continued. I eventually sought care from another dentist to address reshaping the crowns and replacing the implant crown so everything would fit more naturally. I also had to address an infection that developed beneath one of the crowns. After nearly six months, approximately $9,000+ in dental work, multiple procedures, an ER visit and additional corrective treatment, this experience was far from what I'd hoped for. However, after everything I've experienced, they can send me the final bill as I have no intention of returning for additional treatment. I genuinely tried establishing a positive relationship with the staff throughout this process. I understand dentistry is complicated and healthcare professionals are human. But when someone communicates their anxiety, invests thousands of dollars and places their trust in a provider, patience, communication, and attention to detail should be part of the experience. I wish Annie and her team the best and hope my experience encourages greater awareness of how patients are treated, especially those struggling with dental anxiety. Highly recommend hiring a secondary dr to help with workload. And after this experience, I've earned a vacation from the dentist's chair. Preferably somewhere with a beach, a cocktail, and absolutely no dental equipment in sight.

Going to the dentist has never been my favorite thing, but Dr. Vafai has always made me feel comfortable and at ease. Last year, I began my Invisalign journey with Dr. Vafai and her amazing team. Every step of the process was explained thoroughly, and it was clear how knowledgeable and detail-oriented they are. Their professionalism and genuine care made the experience so easy and reassuring. From the moment you walk into the office and are greeted by Christie, you feel welcomed and supported. I've worked with Daisy, Dr. Vafai's dental assistant, for years, and I genuinely enjoy seeing her at every visit. When I called to ask for an exception, I was promised a callback. No callback came. Another collections notice did, though.
