He was warm and kind in a way I don't come across often anymore seemed to ask questions he was genuinely curious of the answers; in a way that never felt invasive. He did a full review of all my medications and what each one was used for specifically for me. Gave me his assessment and my option. I also have a very specific need as I had a double amputation so I am wheelchair bound. He worked with me to not only allow the treatment to happen but made sure I was as comfortable as possible. My wheelchair is slightly wider at the wheels due to it having an extra bar for mobility- him and his staff measured doorways before booking to ensure I didn't waste time coming down there if my chair wouldn't fit. They always got up as soon as they saw me approaching to open the door for me so I didn't have to struggle through! For many of you this pry seems like a minor thing but it's those things that matter and just again highlighted their excellence! Dr. Shirani made my root canals as enjoyable an experience as a root canal could be. My pain was minimal post procedure and they went over what to expect, then followed up to check on me the next day! I don't want to have to get more root canals in the future but I was sad to see my time with Dr Shirani and team come to an end in a way. I hope to never need his services again but if I do I will definitely be back and tell anyone who needs an endodontist to go see him!

He did some work on the tooth and after couple weeks the tooth started to hurt. I had a root canal in other tooth over 10 years ago so the feeling of sharp pain was very familiar. I called my dentist office to let them know I need a root canal and will be seeing a specialist. My dentist has my permanent crown waiting for me and I thought I could hold off on seeing a specialist, but the root canal pain was unbearable. So I went to see another dentist, Dr. Nguyễn on a Saturday. After xray and assessment, she prescribed me some antibiotics and pain medication. She then referred me to Dr. Chen. I've seen other Endodontist in the past for my other root canal and the experience with Dr. Chen by far was the best experience and I am extremely grateful for her. Dr. Chen was extremely pleasant, explained the entire process in detail, explained during the procedure, and explained to me what to expect after my procedure. She did not only successfully took our four nerve in that one tooth, but also reshaped my top crown, so when my new bottom crown is on, it will not ruin my dental crown. She even suggested, once my crown is placed by my dentist, please come back to her to make sure my bite and crown fit perfectly so it doesn't create problems for me in the future at no cost to me! I do have aggressive grinding and biting so she wanted to make sure I can keep the longevity of my crowns, since we all know this stuff is costly. She genuinely put her patient first, she even waived some charges for me! The office called me the next day to ask how I was doing. The staff and Dr. Chen are so kind and professional. Now, I am sad I won't get to see her again until my next root canal (hope that doesn't happen). If it does, I know where to go. The moment you walk in you are greeted by the 3 gals at the front desk. The ambiance from the front desk, patient room and even restroom was so calming. I told my husband that I felt like I went to the spa! The place was nicely lit, super clean, smelled really nice and not overpowering. My experience with the care quality that Dr. Chen and her team carried from check in, explaining what they will be doing to diagnose, plan of care, costs, payments etc was probably the most relaxing experience I've ever had. Even their voices were putting me into a trance lol I have my procedure scheduled until after I deliver my baby. He took the time to explain the process and make sure my questions were fully answered. All of the staff are incredibly kind and helpful as well, they checked up on me to make sure I received the prescription for my pain medications. I was extremely nervous coming in because it's my first ever root canal treatment but Dr. Monzavi is great and I felt comfortable during the treatment. He checks on you throughout the treatment to make sure you are OK and that the procedure is painless, then after the treatment thoroughly reviews with you what has been done and what the next steps are. I had 2 appointments so far (due to the severity of the infection) and each of them took less than an hour which is way quicker than what I expected. They scheduled me another follow-up appointment to check on the healing progress. You can tell the people here care about their patients. My treatment was complex, but my first root canal was painless after a week. They walked me through multiple assessments, and we agreed on a plan to save my second tooth before committing to another root canal. My recovery is 6 months before follow up, and my dentist confirmed the infection site is healing nicely after only one month. The pressure's practically gone now, and I'm expecting bone growth within a few months. Recovery is the patient's responsibility, but this office provides quality care and sets you up for success.
