The office itself is exceptionally clean, calm, and welcoming. The staff remember you and make you feel valued and cared for. I very much enjoy the relaxing view out the large window where you see filtered sunshine through the greenery and trees, with birds and cute squirrels occasionally scurrying through. They prioritize your comfort and explain in detail everything they'll be doing for you. The technology and tools they use are top notch. Dr. Sellen is absolutely wonderful and gentle. The team here obviously love their job and it reflects in how well they take care of their patients and in how nicely they interact with one another. I had the pleasure of having a bit of work done after a dental hiatus. Thankfully I was not made to feel bad about not having been to the dentist in a while. I needed a cleaning, fillings, and a crown. Work was done expertly and each procedure took less time than I had expected. And along the way they made sure I was comfortable and not in pain. I'm very happy with the results. I wasn't upsold on needless procedures or told I need unnecessary work. So refreshing to find a dentist who is honest and trustworthy! Dr. Sellen is friendly, relaxed, and very gentle during procedures. I have been seeing him for over 8 years, and he has performed numerous crowns, filling replacements, and cleanings for me. Is it possible to get excited about a dental appointment? I didn't think so until I became a patient at Dr. Sellen's practice. I've been to numerous dental offices in the past and have always dreaded going to an appointment. I was often scared and lost about the procedures that were being done to me, which is why I was surprised at my first visit to Dr. Sellen's office. From the beginning, Dr. Sellen and his team made me feel comfortable. It felt as though I was a patient they have been taking care of this whole time. I found my new dentist! Super excited to be part of this dental office moving forward. Everyone reading this, I swear by this office, and I have never been more impressed by a dentist and their professionalism in getting to the cause of the pain. First off, I do not want to be a sob story or whatever, but I've had a lot of work done on my teeth due to abnormalities in the way my teeth grew in when I was younger. Basically my teeth are too big for my small mouth. I am missing my pre molars & back molars, still have my wisdom teeth though. Fast forward to today, I finished ortho treatment a second time at my previous dental office to fix my bottom teeth. Turns out, ortho treatment made my teeth feel worse than they felt before. After complaining about the pain to my previous dentist, and just trying to get an answer to cause of my pain, I started to get the impression that my concerns where being brushed aside. I decided to see a specialist, turns out I have an underdeveloped lower jaw, and should have fixed my jaw first before any ortho treatment. I think at this point I just didn't want to be known as that nagging patient that complained about everything every time I would come in at my previous dental office. I felt like I was starting to become known as a difficult patient, and once you get that feeling it's time to go. I came here for a consultation, and Dr. Sellen reviewed my whole mouth. He could see the weird movements in my jaw and that I had reasons for the pain I felt. He immediately recommended I get this issue fixed by my specialist because it will get worse over time. You can tell when a dentist actually cares about their patients, and one that just does it as a job. Dr. Sellen listened to me first, then evaluated my mouth, and gave me a diagnosis of the issue. The information he gave me made me feel more confident in pursuing treatment and I will be coming back here moving forward because I've never felt more at eases with someone actually listening to the issues and not just saying, "You're fine, there's nothing wrong." read more

They also make this COVID-19 situation a non-issue by being extremely safe with their PPE and having the office run as smooth as possible. The office is beautiful as well as the staff ;-) They take their time to explain any conditions I had and provided treatment options. My daughter kept telling me to go to her dentist, which was Dr Sellen. My dentist retired and I went with the dentist who took over his practice. I wasn't happy with him . I just finished my third visit to Dr. Sellen's office. My first ever visit was my new patient evaluation and a full set of oral xray's, due to the fact that I had none from another dentist to send him. Dr. Sellen was fantastic at putting me at ease, I should say here that I choose Dr. Sellen after reading his other reviews because I'm scared of dentists and hand't been to one in years. My second visit a few days later was with Tiffany the dental hygienist in the office and she was amazing, just amazing! I hadn't had my teeth properly cleaned in years and she made the experience as easy and painless as if I did it monthly. My third visit today was 1 week from my first, to fix the tooth trouble that had forced me to go and finally see a dentist after so many years. Dr. Sellen is a dental GOD, his shots are as others have said PAINLESS, his gifts and talents are many, but these painless shots are mana from heaven if you are fearful to start with. My crown work was equally painless (and I'm a baby when it comes to discomfort). I don't care for play by play, but if you want to know whats going on and get updates Dr. Sellen with talk you all the way through step by step. I would be seriously remiss if I ended this review without also saying that Dr. Sellen's dental assistant was a perfect addition to the cool professional outstanding work of Dr. Sellen, she ROCKED! I've been a patient of Dr. Weatherholt's office for 12 years. I first found the practice through a friend when I was living in San Jose in 2006. I love the office staff and Tiffany is just incredible! I might be one of the crazy people that absolutely loves to go to the dentist. (That is mostly because of how the practice is run.) In 2008 I moved to San Francisco but I refuse to find a dentist up here. So, I make the trip twice a year Down to San Jose. With Dr. Sellen taking over I can tell you that things have gotten even better. (Which is hard to believe as It was already an exceptional practice to begin with) I've never seen the office staff happier! I have to take a moment to specifically mention my most recent appointment. I was about to walk out the door to drive down when Dr. Sellen personally called to let me know that Tiffany was sick. He saw that I was coming from San Francisco and wanted to make sure that the message left a little earlier had gotten to me. After the phone call I found that I had missed a call and there was a voicemail. Had I not received that second phone call from Dr. Sellen, I would've driven all the way down for nothing. His extra level of care and thoughtfulness meant the world to me; and is rare to find these days. That coupled with his wonderful "bedside manner"sets a new standard and dental care in my book!! They listen when I talk & they take time to answer all of my questions. They want me to be educated about the care they are offering.
