For over a year, we have been using Anthony & Sylvan for the pool cleaning. My husband had just had surgery and this was a task he could not do at least for a few months. During this time Brian Turbeville was our pool technician. Brian was always on time, professional, knowledgeable and very efficient. When the job was completed, the pool always looked amazing! Every single time. Brian would also make sure that we knew exactly what he had done and if he noticed an issue, we were immediately informed and given options. If we had an issue in between pool cleanings and maintenance, Brian would come get it fixed. We always trusted and welcomed his opinion. DONT DONT let the sales department talk you into doing a review until after the pool is installed. You deal with many other companies and they dont always get back with you. After you sign the contract they push you along. Although it's a beautiful pool workmanship could be an issue. They say three months for the pool to be completed. More like 5 or 6. read more

I have waited to write this review because I didn't want to write it out of frustration, which pretty much sums up my experience working with A&S. I'll start by say, everyone is super polite and friendly, so as people, I would give them 5 stars for sure. And at the end of the day, I love my pool and feel it was a great investment. What's caused my frustration.... I was told the process only takes a couple months. I signed in July 2023 and was told we would be swimming in Oct. It wasn't "finished" until January 2024. Wouldn't have mattered so much if the team set realistic expectations. Every step of the way I've had to call and follow up with the team. There was no pro-active scheduling and no urgency. Not only that, but nothing ever gets accomplished with one message. I would have to follow up 2-3 times to get acknowledgement. I'm unsure if the team is too busy or if I simply wasn't a priority (I was told once that I live too far away, so that made me feel like a huge inconvenience; I'm 15 mins from Charlotte city center btw). Anthony & Sylvan subcontracts every step, so there isn't any accountability. My PM would come out every so often and do a site visit and take photos. But A&S did not meet the subcontractors prior to their work, so there was no clarification before they would begin, and they would not inspect the work afterwards. I'm obviously not an expert, so it was a bit difficult to trust that corners weren't being cut. The biggest frustration has been the patio. Their subcontractors have already been out three times to fix issues with the travertine. It's still not up to my standards, but now I'm having to go through the warranty team. Lastly, I never really had one point of contact. My PM would show up unannounced and if I happened to be home, he was super friendly and would address my concerns, but he never answered calls, texts or emails. I would cc about 5-6 people on my emails, but never really knew who was accountable and who I could trust to advocate for my project. Honestly, I bet a lot of the pool companies operate similarly, but I would love if A&S developed more organization, better communication, and processes that set expectations with their customers and contractors, and took accountability for their product and services instead of passing blame on subcontractors that they hire. Ultimately I've given my money to A&S, not these third parties. read more
