After I purchased it and had it delivered, had the electric line run and all ready to enjoy our new $8500 jacuzzi. We also purchased the cover but when they were leaving they told us the clips for the top were missing and would have someone out there to put them on. Still not done 6 months later. As I filled it with water it started leaking water out from somewhere inside. I removed one of the sides to find a coupling missing and water pouring out. I called and they did get a technician out pretty quickly. He then informed me he did not have a coupling and went to his truck and got an old shutoff valve he had in his truck. He put it in and got it working. He then told me he would let the office know and they would get someone out to fix it properly. We enjoyed it for about a month before we started getting an error. I called again and they told me to clean the filters. They were not dirty but I did and it worked for about a week. I called and left a message but did not hear back from them. Fast forward to March 25th. I call and ask for the mgr but was told he was not available and they were going to ha e a meeting the next day to find out if they were staying open during lockdown. The girl told me that if I didn't hear from them that meant they were closed. I did not hear from them. On May 12th I call again to find out they never closed they just didnt call me back. I then asked for the mgr again and got disconnected. I finally got in touch with him and he said the issue must be a pressure switch and he would get a technician out right away. After a few more calls and run around I was told they would be there on May 21 @ 12:00pm. No call no nothing. I did get an email on May 23rd saying the wrong part was ordered and they had to order a new one and would be in touch. Today is May 29th and still nothing. NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE.......

What really impressed me, though, was the service after the sale. About three months later, I had a filter that was extremely tight and I couldn't get it loosened. Mike, the technician, came back out to my house and took care of it for me. He was extremely helpful, professional, and made sure everything was working properly before he left. It's easy to provide good service when making a sale, but how a company treats you afterward says a lot more. Mike and the team demonstrated that they truly stand behind their products and take care of their customers long after the purchase. I really appreciate the service and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a hot tub or spa.

Not just because we bought our pool and hot tub from Hydra, but because they consistently have the best service. Mike, their service technician, responded quickly to our concern. Due to this, we had to reschedule and Mike made it a priority to get back over ASAP - once we shocked the pool! He came again, on time and prepared and fixed the pool. Right in time for the last day of school! Thank you Hydra - Thank you Mike

Blue Devil Pools

Blue Devil Pools

We are newbies to the pool world. Moved here from Chicago and wanted to have a pool, found the…read moreright house and moved into it in May. While having a pool is lovely, there is a lot of information you need to know if you want to take care of it properly. We have a weekly cleaning done by another company I won't mention the name (we are not very happy with them). Yesterday, we woke up to our vinyl pool liner floating away from the walls. We are having a stone bench and firepit installed at the back of the yard. The area where the stone bench is was a huge puddle and the heavy rain (maybe 4 inches in one night) caused the water to have no where to drain to...needless to say we were in panic mode (called our weekly cleaning company and they didn't know they were going to get back to us). UGH! Mind racing I remembered the seller left us a detailed list of vendors they used for various improvements, Ted Leonard from Blue Devil Pools was on the list. I called him in a panic told him the situation. He said he was familiar with the problem worked on pools for 25 years and as it was 3 days before Christmas I was freaking out that no one was working. He said he charged $90 an hour and likely 1-4 hour job. He headed over and arrived 40 minutes later. The guy is a wealth of pool information, very detailed information for my husband and I to know about this type of pool and how to manage it. our cost $200. I told him the Pool Co that cleans our pool said we were able to run the Polaris (vacuum) without the main pump on...what did he think? The previous owner told us that was a NO-NO. He said well I agree it should not be run alone as it does not have enough water working with it. He recommended to trust the Polaris website to reach out to them (not general pool forums). I logged into the Polaris website, got on a live chat with tech support for residential pools, they agreed "the booster bump (polaris) should NOT be run without the main pump as it will be under pressurized and cause the booster pump to overheat and potentially melt its impeller). OMG - seriously...thankful to have had a visit from Ted. Feeling empowered. Not only that, Ted had great ideas to get the water away from the pool with the work we are doing with the fire pit and bench. He went into a detailed explanation of routing the water away with catch basins and a back up of gravity fed trenching. I recommend this company and Ted 100%.

He is truly gifted with attention to detail, experience, skill, and integrity with perfect down to the millimeter precision pool liner installation. Ted also repaired vermiculite damage that occurred due to us not knowing the pool had been drained completely due to a storm causing a large branch to tear the liner after falling on our fence. Excellent work with great follow up, educational materials, and support. Probably the most honest businessman I've encountered since coming to NC. Highly recommend.

Lombardo Swimming Pool Company - Ornaments in our Lombardo Pool

Lombardo Swimming Pool Company

I want to first start off by saying this was the first pool and spa I have ever built and I am so…read moreincredibly happy with the outcome. This is why I felt compelled to write this review. After interviewing 6 different pool companies, I finally decided that Lombardo Swimming Pools, LLC was the company I wanted to do business with. I started my search with the large pool company names and became very frustrated with the sales people who showed up to my house with their fancy computer programs and would basically say anything to make a sale. They were not actually that knowledgable either. They use all subcontractors to do the work and the quality is not the same as a result. One company wanted to put the pool equipment right next to the pool just off the pool deck area where I would be relaxing. When I asked, "why in that location?", his reply was "it is the most efficient place for the equipment." While that is a true statement, it was a deal breaker for me because if I did not know any better, I would have been stuck with loud equipment sitting next to the area where I entertain and relax. It was a cost savings for the pool company and they were not passing the savings on to me. You might be thinking, why didn't I just ask them to place the equipment in a more appropriate location, but I did not feel they were thinking about me and I just decided not to do business with them and moved on to the next company on my list. Another company was way over priced mainly because they were a landscape company who happened to put in pools. Not a good idea to go with a company who's main purpose is to do landscaping and NOT to build pools. In any event, my last meeting was with the owner of Lombardo Swimming Pools and to my relief, my search was over. Not only was he incredibly knowledgable and professional, he took the time to hear my requirements and designed a pool that was perfect for my family and our needs and he did so while respecting my budget requirements, and actually even made my budget stretch further by being creative and aggressive in truly exceeding my expectations with product and design selections. The construction process took about two and a half months. My pool is 8.5 feet deep and the freeform design style. There were no construction delays because the scheduling was spot on, there were no unforeseen problems (i.e. soil stabilization issues or rock removal issues), and admittedly the weather totally cooperated throughout the entire project. This company only uses high quality products. I was always kept abreast of what to expect and what was to come. There was a construction foreman present when necessary and all State inspections passed the first time. Keep in mind, this is a large structural project with many layers of complex construction components and you will be working with the company for several months, so you have to choose wisely. The fact that this company has over 30 years of experience and is family owned and operated is a plus because they take ownership and provide a better product. Lombardo Swimming Pools does not sub out much of the work. Less chance of fingerprinting should anything go wrong. The company cares about doing right by their customers and wants their pools to last. Customer satisfaction is their number one goal always. I would STRONGLY recommend this company to any person who is thinking about constructing a pool in their back yard. I would even go so far as to say you shouldn't consider anyone else. My experience was amazing.
