How can you not like this place? We were driving back from Mt Hood, starving after a long day on the slopes and we needed something to eat ASAP. Unfortunately this region isn't the easiest for finding vegan options. A quick Yelp search suggested AntFarm Cafe, and we set our course. They really only had one vegan lunch option, a veggie wrap. Let me tell you, it was outstanding! So crunchy and textural and packed with flavors. I did add the hummus, which I think is necessary. I wish it came with something other than chips on the side, but considering it was the only place nearby where I could find ANYTHING to eat, I happily gobbled it up. I also helped split a vegan biscuit and jelly, and it was awfully tasty as well. What impresses me most is that this isn't just some restaurant. It's actually a NGO that helps keep (I presume troubled) kids on the right path through mentorship, job skills training, and art. There were a LOT of kids running around and it just made me feel good to support such a good cause. Real talk: if this was just some regular cafe, I'd probably give them 4 stars. Stopped by after missing the Mount Hood Express and for a breakfast sandwich and some coffee. I appreciated the broad range of customizability including the option to sub avocado instead of meat. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. I should have taken their advice to get the egg whites over hard instead of scrambled. The scrambled egg whites were a bit messy to eat. I came here on the way to Mount Hood and stopped for breakfast. I got the lox and an onion bagel. The lox was perfectly delicious and tasted very fresh. It went perfectly with the tomatoes and capers, and there was plenty of food too - they did NOT skimp on quantity. I got an espresso, and they had oat milk to put in it as well. We were passing through Sandy coming from Central Oregon on a planned trip to the Portland area. I anticipated eating lunch at the AntFram Cafe. I read there menu with the thought of trying something different to eat. I went for the Chicken salad on a baguette. The chicken salad had golden raisins and almonds incorporated into the salad. The baguette was made in house. Soft and fresh. It was a nice size sandwhich and tasted delicious. Comes with potato chips that were good too. My wife had the Veggie wrap that was very large and very tasty. Ditto on the potato chips. Glad to have found this hidden gem of Sandy. This will be our go to place for breakfast or lunch. read more

If at all possible to give a company a negative star this one would get at least -10, they not only have shot service, they also treat there office employees like shit! They let there employees go meaning fire them for no reason at all!! IE one employee was sick for 3 days and even brought in a doctors note and was still let go! The work place is incredibly toxic and back stabbing!!! The cafe as well has poor service and worst coffee in all of Sandy!!! As well they can't keep good help in the cafe to keep customers coming back!!! Hopefully this will help out to customers before they walk in the cafe door as well to apply for a job at the main office!! read more

This place is fantastic. The service was great, but the food is delicious. My husband had the Ruben. The meat was so flavorful which made the sandwich tray yummy. I had a salad, pretty basic, however the dressing was better than average. The real star of the show was the chicken salad! I added a scoop to my salad and wow, it was unexpectedly delicious. We were kind of underwhelmed. We stopped by on a weekend morning for coffee and some breakfast. The first trip back to the counter was for new coffee. A macchiato here is actually a caramel vanilla latte, which was surprising. The barista was confused about it until I explained that I thought it would be... more like a macchiato, I guess. She was very nice and swapped it out for an americano. When we got our food there was no silverware, so we went back for that. And then there was no butter for the waffle or jam for the toast, so we went back for that too. The belgian waffle was just a generic waffle. The maple syrup + whipped cream upgrade was missing the whipped cream, but at that point I was tired of complaining and just ate it. The food wasn't bad, there were just several things missed along the way, and overall resulted in a pretty mediocre experience. The pastries were EXCELLENT, by the way. Unfortunately the coffee quality was a huge miss here. I ordered 4 different drinks. When the barista called out my order, none of the drinks had been marked. So at this point, not even she knew which one had whole milk, oat milk, decaf, etc. When I asked her which one is which she gave me a look like I don't know and not my problem. Then two of those drinks were not even 16.oz as bought and paid for. Nowhere near to filled even half way. They then tried to make up for the super bad mistake and gave us two extra drinks and those were just so not pumpkin spice latte drinks at all. Just experiences like this don't make you want to support local businesses. I would say skip the coffee here because if you mess up all four drinks and charge us $16.00 for super bad coffee and replace that with worse tasting coffee....definitely no go. read more

First and foremost, I found on the internet that the pricing of all products to be 2 to 4 dollars less than other food service cafes in Sandy. When I got there, I was pleased to find many different sized sitting arrangements (heights and girths of stools, and chairs as well as the tables with which they were paired.) Then the breakfast I ordered came with a healthy portion of 2 eggs, country style fried potatoes, and slice of ham, two 2 slices of rye toast with cup of berry jam, as well as the orange wedge garnish. The food was delicious, service was quick, and friendly from ordering to ringing food to my table. All around great experience. My new favorite sandwich spot in Sandy. Why? The bread is made daily and they even make english muffins in house for their breakfast sandwiches. The quality of the ingredients is fantastic-thick cuts of ham or pastrami, and fresh veggies. You also can completely customize every sandwich whether it's a breakfast sandwich or a more typical lunch sandwich. The result is a truly great sandwich. (Also they are enormous....1/2 a sandwich is plenty.) Also they have fresh pastries that are made daily and a soup of the day. Full espresso bar available as well. To top it off this restaurant is a non profit. All the profits go back into providing classes for the community and other outreach projects!
