It's a 3 star experience for me, but that rating seems harsh because for the right person, it's a 5 star, adorable bakery. I would not advertise or recommend it for vegan options; there was a vegan cupcake once in the many times I went there. The cafe is cute and spacious and even has a little kids area with toys and books. But it smells like gas from the nearby grill restaurant, and when they clean the tables, it smells like strongly fragranced cleanser. If you're not chemically sensitive and don't have dietary restrictions, it might be a charming, yummy place for you. read more

I'm a single mom. We don't have a lot of money, but we have enough. Sometimes I like to splurge to make us feel special. One such occasion this year, has been my daughter's 18th birthday. I decided to splurge on a really special cake. I'd been following Nya's cakes on facebook for a while, and always LOVED how everything looked that they posted. I decided on Saturday Nov. 22, 2025 to try to place an order for her birthday cake. I called thinking they might be really busy with Thanksgiving coming up, and they might be booked with orders. Honestly, now, I just wish they had told me "no." I told the lady on the phone what I wanted: a special cake for my daughter's 18th birthday. She said she'd check with whomever, and call me back to confirm they could do it for pickup on Wednesday Nov. 26th. She called me back and told me they could do it. I'm looking at the website as we're talking on the phone, and I'm seeing beautifully decorated cakes and I've checked the flavor offerings and I decide to order a heart shaped strawberry and vanilla cake for my daughter. According to the website info, I thought it was going to be a $60.00 cake, but she informed me that it would be a $75.00 cake. (ok.) And as an afterthought, I decided to get a dozen mini cupcakes that she could take to her 'friendsgiving' celebration that day also, same flavor. It was an $117.00 order. I asked if they could write" Happy 18th Joey" and just make it really special. She took down the spelling of my daughter's name, (I guess.) She did not ask me any other details about what I wanted but went straight to getting my credit card info for payment. There was a lot of noise in the background and she seemed to be really busy. I live in Corbett. Sandy is quite a drive from my place.But I loved the idea of driving "over the river and through the woods" to pickup the most beautiful and decadent cake of my lifetime. I was ready to head out when they called to ask for more time. So I picked it up much later than anticipated, which delayed her arrival at her event. Here's the saddest thing. The heart shaped cake was frosted in plain white frosting. No design or decoration. They used green gel icing to write "happy birthday joey" which isn't even what I asked for. The cupcakes are 'meh', with a gigantic blob of inedible white frosting on the top and absolutely no decoration whatsoever. I am so disappointed. I wish I could get my money back. I really made a big deal about getting this great cake, and what I got looks like it could have come off the shelf at Safeway. Do better. Or just say no. read more

I stopped by here while waiting for the bus to Mount Hood and got some treats. Everything was so tasty! The stuffed tickets were perfectly tasty and flavorful. They were so good! I also got a garlic cheddar biscuit which didn't survive for photos which was like a hug in biscuit form. Definitely a new go-to for my Mt. Hood adventures in the future! read more

I'm all about supporting local and have supported this bakery from the beginning. Especially because of all her Facebook posts about how stressed she is about making it as a local baker. However, every time I have gone in, the owner is not friendly, and in fact felt that I've inconvenienced her by being there. My latest experience is when I made a preorder on cyber Monday for a pick up for December 23 was the last time I will walk through her doors. When I went to pick up my order at the correct time that she stressed in her Facebook posts to arrive, the employee that was there was eating a pepperoni stick, while digging through all their baked items looking for my order. About five minutes later, she apologized and said that my order was not fulfilled and that "sadly this was one of several that weren't." The owner is so unprofessional and I feel like I should've gotten a phone call ahead of time to let me know that my order wasn't fulfilled, even though they had my money for a month, instead of driving across town to pick my items up the day before Christmas Eve. Instead when I pulled in, the owner was sitting in her car in front of her bakery, leaving the poor employee to break the news to each customer that walked in. By the time I walked out, the owner had driven away, otherwise I would've tried to talk to her directly. When I made a comment on Facebook stating that my kids were disappointed, my comment was deleted and the owner made a separate post stating that she would be reaching out to the "five customers" this happened to. I never was able expecting to hear from her, and didn't. But I won't be supporting this bakery anymore, there are other local bakeries that are more professional that have delicious options. read more

After checking their store hours I drove all the way from Gresham to get some cupcakes to celebrate my birthday. Well, it seems to me that this bakery is closed. At 10:30 am on a Sunday it was completely dark inside, the open sign was not on and there were racks of clothing inside the store. If you are still in business you should update your store hours so people don't waste their time and gas!!! read more

2 pre orders now that were not fulfilled. The most recent being for Christmas events. I pre ordered 2 items to take to Christmas Eve events. Went in at the time frame I was told to go in on 12/23 and was told my order wasn't made/fulfilled. I have given Nya chance after chance even after my first big order several years ago was canceled on me the day of my event. This was absolutely the last time I support her business. I have tried because she is always posted about needing business to stay afloat. Unfortunately stunts like this is exactly doing the opposite of what she's needing, keeping customers happy and coming back. Was also told via a Facebook post of hers that she was going to personally reach out to those whose order wasn't fulfilled and I never heard from her (which was expected.) I full heartedly believe she made the post to save face. It's unfortunate but because of just my own experiences, she has lost several customers. read more

This place is fabulous! Love the elegant quaintness of the lobby. Always clean and inviting. Now the treats, Yowza so delicious! In July, Nya did our wedding cake in addition to custom cupcakes for our rehearsal and bridal shower. The cakes were phenomenal, and tasted as good as they looked. She was very professional and helpful throughout the ordering process, from the custom cake tasting box, to accommodating delivery of our wedding cake to the venue, and coordinating with our florist for fresh flower cake decorations that were done on site. Cute little bakery!!! I love their fresh and tasty sweets! Purchased 2 different kinds of cookies, a crème brûlée scone, and 2 different kinds of macaroons. All were really good and fresh. Such a charming bakery! I heard about Nya's from a coworker and ran over to try it. I got two of the filled cookies, a blueberry goat cheese scone and a bag of smaller shareable cookies to try, everything was delicious! I follow them on Facebook and they're always updating their page with different treats they will have each day (occasionally vegan cupcakes), and when they've sold out and are closing early (which seems to be a normal thing). read more

I've been wanting to stop in and finally got to it. It was a cute welcoming bakery, the guy working was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. I love the ambiance and blush pink decorated Christmas tree. I ordered a stuffed lemon poppyseed cookie and banana cupcake. Both were delicious! The cookie was filled with what almost tasted like a lemon frosting. The banana cupcake had a whip cream frosting and filled with banana custard inside it was about $9 for both items. It felt nice to support a new, small bakery. There has also been a huge variety of rotating items which seems to change every week or two. Along with what I ordered there are bagels, macarons, eclairs, bags of small cookies, cinnamon rolls, and more. I stopped in at 5pm so some of the weekly items were gone. Visiting in the AM would be best since this seems like a pretty popular spot. I would definitely love to stop in again! read more
