We were craving something sweet when we found Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The first thing I…read morewill say is this shop was clean and crisp. The store was well lite, open and inviting. The staff greeted us the moment we came in and was super kind and patient as we browsed all they had to offer. Ice cream, cookies, caramel apples and chocolate.. how does one ever choose. We ended up getting ice cream and a few chocolate goodies to go home. First off the ice cream was the best ice cream I have ever had and I am not saying this lightly. Not to sweet, cream but not to soft. Honestly it was perfect! It was cool that they have mix ins for free. We were asked if we wanted to have it on top or mixed in which adds another fun level to the ice cream adventure at Rocky Mountain. We also tried their jelly stick chocolates which I am sort of picky about. I hate when its like jam texture inside or its so firm its like biting in to a rock. Their jelly stick was the perfect texture that made the flavor all that much better. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Happy Valley is a most try for everyone near or far. Their sweets are top notch as is the store and its employees!

First if all I will give the employee 5 stars for what she had to work with product wise. Bravo,…read moreThe quality of what I bought was horrible, I spent 89.00 for chocolate that tasted like it had freezer burn, So disappointed..my only time here and definitely will not recommend.

How have I not known about Canard? What a gem in our city!…read more First, the decor was lovely. I was in awe of the dried flower bouquet on that wall. I booked on OpenTable and added a note that my mother needed a wall to place her crutches against, and they gave us 2 options. Very kind of them, and the gentleman helped my mother get situated. Service was exceptional. Food menu seemed light but enough of a variety to choose from, and it all was absolutely delicious. Had the drink School for Ants which the taste was of perfection. For lunch we shared the pears and goat cheese which by far was my favorite dish. Also ordered the ricotta gnocchi which I thought the bourguignon was a little strong but I believe that's normal, so it's just my personal preference. The Tokyo hot chicken tenders were tender and juicy, and the honey and sauce paired well together. Shout out to the staff that brought our forgotten to go box to our car. My mother wants to go back, so you won us both over!

And it wasn't real Salisbury steak either. It was quite bland and chewy. Fries were decent but drowning in a layer of oil on the plate. These chimney cake delights are Romanian-Hungarian in origin and are spit-baked little funnels covered in butter (and cinnamon-sugar for the sweet ones) and then filled with either savory or sweet toppings. The savory ones are like a conical sandwich. The sweet are filled with ice cream like a cone mostly, with lots of mix-ins included and toppings available. Everything is made to order and the owner is currently solo in this gif, so it's a small wait for your treats but oh is it worth the wait! We had the "It's Always Rainy in Portland" Philly cheesesteak for a savory, and the "Monkey Business" ice cream with Nutella added for a sweet. Both absolutely worth coming back for, and I look forward to trying the two breakfasty ones and more ice cream. So happy to have them in the near-neighborhood and can't wait to go back!
