Picked up some cupcakes, pastries and apparently a chocolate cookie "soooo good" that my lil niece told her mom she had to call and tell me. The strawberry cupcake was a nice interpretation of my fave from ice cream trucks w the lil strawberry shortcake bits on the outside. There was also a layer of jam under frosting that was a fun surprise. Along w all these treats they also offer custom cakes! Will def keep that in mind for special occasions. This place is awesome! After seeing the most amazing Harry Potter themed cake at a friend's party, I decided to place a custom order for my daughters 9th birthday party at We Are Cake. My daughter chose to have a reptile petting zoo so we requested a snake or other reptile cake/cupcakes. I gave them the color scheme and flavor choices and they ran with it! Since it was a large order I was concerned about having room to refrigerate them over the weekend because our party was Sunday and they could only do a Friday pick up. She called me Friday morning and was so incredibly flexible and made a special trip in on Sunday for me to pick it up. Not to mention she accidentally made extra and threw them in for free! I am super impressed with this new custom cake bakery. Obviously the custom is not limited to only cakes. They also have cake pops, cookies, and other delectable treats including all sorts and varieties. I visited this location for their grand opening. She had little samples of chocolate cake with butter cream frosting. What would be a somewhat basic flavor typically was an amazing party in my mouth. The chocolate cake was extremely moist and full of flavor. It could only maybe be topped by adding some chocolate chips, which I'm sure she would do if asked. The butter cream frosting was some of the best that I think I have ever had in my entire life. It is clear she uses real butter which is an actual requirement for true butter cream frosting but often mistaken in store bought cakes. It was light fluffy and creamy. Exactly what you would look for. Super nice staff as well. Cake pops were $2, Cupcakes for $3, the small cakes $7, I believe they told me that custom cakes begin at $3.75 per slice needed, and the cookies I believe were $3 as well. It's a clean little store with a lot of supplies. Also be on the look out on their Facebook and Instagram pages for cake decorating, cupcake decorating, and cookie decorating classes. A great opportunity with a fan option to expand your skills. I definitely will return. read more

Over paid for a cake with paper decorations on to and printed edible paper on the front with piping and sprinkles. It literally looks like they bought a cake from Safeway and added paper sign that was personalized to my daughter and slapped (sloppily-see pics, smudged finger prints all over) an edible Hello kitty logo on the front. Inconvenient to coordinate pick up. So disappointed in this cake, would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

From home in California, I ordered a custom "book" cake for my sister-in-law for her birthday party in Portland. When we saw the cake, we couldn't believe how much it looked like a book. Part of the frosting was fondant, out of necessity. I have never liked fondant, but this was very tasty. When we cut into the cake, it was exactly as requested: two flavors of cake with buttercream between the layers. It was the most delicious, moist cake I have ever tasted--and I am in my 60s. Attended a cake & cookie decorating class at We are Cake. The staff were amazing. They were fun and set the perfect tone for a fun class. I didn't think there would be much to learn on cakes/ cookies. I've seen so many Food networks shows & thought easy peasy. However, it's a lot different sitting on your couch & actually doing it. Ha ha. Bonus piece was when my daughter who joined the class was raving about the experience on our car ride home. I ordered my son's first birthday cake a couple of months ago. She asked me what color, theme, flavor, etc. His birthday party was the past Friday and I picked up the cake on Thursday. She was keeping it in the freezer, which was perfect since I had a 30 minute drive home and it was in the high 80's (my car's air conditioner leaves something to be desired). I sent Angela an admittedly confusing request from her website for a multi-celebration cake my family could use to combine my birthday, mother's day, and celebrate the very close gender reveal of our baby within one red velvet cake during quarantine. Today is my birthday and I was told I could pickup my cake at 5:30 because I work and you don't close till 6pm. I had already paid and discussed I couldn't pickup until 5:30pm which you said was fine. Today you decide you close at 5pm for no reason but to be rude to someone who already paid and said they couldn't pickup till 5:30pm. I do not recommend this business at all, give people a heads up before you decide to close out of nowhere. Don't make people pay ahead of time if you can't follow through on your part. read more
