We used Cara last year for our kids' Minecraft birthday party. Her pricing was reasonable, she delivered, and the cake looked and tasted amazing! She really went above and beyond for us, and handled all my special requests with aplomb. We're using her again this year and I can't wait to see what she comes up with!

She's Amazing! I'm from Seattle, WA and about a month ago was struggling to find the perfect person to make the vision we had for our god daughters 1st Birthday cake come to life.. then we found Cara! Great on pricing, the cake flavors itself were phenomenal, and we were more than happy with the results of the cake. She included delivery to the venue (which was so hard to find) & made sure all finishing touches were on the cake when she arrived! Thank you for everything Cara! The party was perfect.

This is my new go-to bakery for specialty cakes! Not only is the artistry incredible, but the cake itself was delicious too! She sent me some ideas for Lego cake designs and brought to life the exact cake we were looking for. My 5yo was so excited and dazzled by it, it made his birthday. There was literally nothing about the process that wasn't spot on - from design, to confirming the details (3 layer, strawberry cake with strawberry filling), to delivering it to my home - WOW! I mean, WOW! This is the type of business we need to support - flawless service, flawless cake - this is where you should buy your custom cake EVERY time!

Crispy, airy, buttery and oh, so delicate, my raspberry cruffin was the dessert dreams are made of! If you've never had a cruffin... what are you waiting for?! It's croissant dough baked into a muffin shape. And the particular version I ordered today was filled with sweet and creamy vanilla custard and raspberry jelly. My mouth is watering describing this now, a true sign I'll be returning to experience this delicacy time and time again. There are three locations of Twisted Croissant in Portland, and this is the only one I've visited. The interior has a classic Parisian bakery vibe, clad in white subway tile from floor to ceiling. The bakery case in front of the store is beautifully stocked with fresh pastries, perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea. However, be advised, there are only two tables in the back of their public space, so it's not particularly inviting space to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Given the location, I assume there is outdoor seating in the summer months, but don't quote me on that. Regardless, run here if you haven't been. These baked goods are worth the visit!

Come early because they do run out of pastries. Everything I've ordered has tasted great. The croissants are especially good. Very flavorful and buttery. Lots of unique flavors too, and in the macarons as well. The space itself is small with almost no seating and it's too crammed to form an appropriate line. You have to balance on small steps at some point. Not ideal. I would normally give this bakery 4-5 stars, but I think they deserve only two stars for my personal experiences. The staff has never been all that friendly, and on my last visit (and last for a while or ever) one woman was so rude to me I was so shocked I just stood there with my jaw hanging open until I finally regained my wits and just stepped away. I don't even know what caused her attitude, I had ordered and paid, but she didn't like how I was waiting for my bag of food, I guess. I don't know. But I won't be going back anytime soon even if I lived in Portland. Bummer because it's very tasty.

If you can't finish the croissants day of, make sure to retoast them in the toaster oven! It will still be buttery and flakey and delicious! Gosh, not much else to say because others have such a good job with their reviews. They're currently looking for a new location and I'm sad to see them leave their old spot on Williams.

It's clearly a popular spot, and from what I hear, getting there early is key if you want their famous croissants. Everything we ordered was amazing a rocky road cookie, a chocolate croissant, and the ham and cheese croissant. Even two days later, everything was still tasty. The flaky layers were especially impressive. I'm a big rocky road fan and had never tried it as a cookie before this one was a winner and tasted fresh, not processed at all. Definitely looking forward to visiting in person next time.
