Tempo is a bit more on the louder side which is good for community, not as good if someone would want to study. Pretty good coffee, my latte wasn't anything to die over though. First time I go there orders is wrong, they do well and give me punch card for free coffee. All good, so I return get free coffee and food. Third time I start new punch card. By the tenth visit to fill the punch card they had messed up my order 50% of the time. I give them one chance, and yeah order messed up. Life long vegetarian, bit into more meat in the few visit I had to this place then whole rest of my life! I will never set foot in that place again. Nice place. Lots of tables, chairs and space to spread out. Free WiFi, so that's always nice. Kind of cold/chilly inside, but its whatever considering it is currently winter. Cool vibe though, low key feel, art on the walls, clean look in terms of aesthetics, bathrooms are clean... Can't say anything about the food or coffee since this is my first and likely only time here because I do not live locally. I ordered an Americano, and I accidentally poured way too much half-and-half in it, so I cannot comment on the taste/quality because mine tasted like straight cream lol. I get the feeling that this is kind of a busy/social establishment, which is totally cool, but if you're trying to find a little nook to study or read quietly, I don't think this place would be in your wheelhouse. Stopped by for lunch - great service, one of the best BLT's we've had, and such great side salads! Really nice fresh lettuce, and what seemed to be freshly grated carrots - not pre-grated dried out ones. Dad got the biscuits and sausage gravy and said it was delicious! Good food. The ingredients were simple but higher quality. The mission statement of the restaurant is nice and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It took a little larger for the food to come out than I would have expected but I think there might have been new employees being trained. I don't have time to write everything that is great about this place but here's the highlights. The cafe' is great! They are slowly and thoughtfully growing their menu. I judge a place on their straight up house coffee , and it's always fresh and brewed to perfection. They offer organic and locally sourced coffee - food and their baked goods are actually made on premise. The staff is always warm and friendly, the space is large yet warm and inviting. It's a great place to sit and chat or get some much needed work done - lots of outlets if you have an old computer that doesn't hold a charge ;). Okay now if that's not enough - As I understand it they have a greater mission than just being an awesome cafe'. They are a nonprofit that engages youth in the outdoors in a thoughtful / learning and service environment. Connecting them to the natural world, their community and applying these experiences into real life action. I've also noticed some classes being offered in the back and it looks like it's for a wide range of people and interests. Oh ya and they have home made gelato - get out of here! This place sucks. The food sucks. The coffee sucks. Great place if your a hipster. I would not recommend this place at all. They can take their left wing eating and cram it up their asses, cause that's what it tastes like. Like refried shit. They don't even come to you and get you drinks started like a regular restaurant would. My eggs were over cooked. They gave me bread with no butter or jelly, I had to leave my table and ask for some. The food in general gave me a upset stomach. That and combined with their super shitty coffee, way to strong guys, and the flavor was awful. I do not enjoy over cooked burned coffee. Hipsters with no taste pallet might like it, but I didn't. They don't have real tables and chairs. They must if stolen them from the Sandy football field. We stopped here recently on our way up to the mountain. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the good Portland food, but I was not at all impressed by this restaurant. My grilled cheese was incredibly greasy. Minestrone soup was bland and sort of mushy. The furniture was rather uncomfortable. My friend ordered a chicken salad sandwich, which was all bread and very little chicken salad. can't believe i waited for my to go drink for 25 minutes when there had only been one person in front of me in line. i used to be a barista and it would take me 5 minutes max to get out a drink. the barista took a group of 4 order before getting started on mine. they're lucky the drinks were good and that my ride didn't mind waiting almost half an hour or else this review would be 1 star. smh. if one barista can't handle the line then there should be two. read more

My boyfriend and I live in Sandy and really enjoy more intimate breakfast spots. When we found this place, we were really excited. Our first visit wasn't great.... He ordered his food and they were out of what he ordered, but they brought my food out. He tried to order something else and there would have been a 30 minute wait. We've tried to come back and this time we asked for no onions, she said they would accommodate, then when we got our food, the onions weren't taken out and their egg whites were smothered in oil. Not to mention, the lattes, aren't very great.... I'm hoping this review will help this place become a better breakfast/ lunch spot because it is really cute. The environment is great! We just wish the food and coffee would match. -They have offered refunds for the mistakes, but when it comes down to it, we have to go to the counter to remind them and ask for the refund. read more

We stopped here for breakfast as we were traveling through town and saw it received good reviews on Yelp. First impressions were not so good. As per sign on front door, masks were required due to COVID Restrictions. An elderly patron was standing at bar waiting for his coffee drink, not actually eating or drinking anything, and not once wore a mask or was told to wear a mask. Even watched him sneeze on the counter in front of him. There were several open/empty tables to sit at, but all available tables were dirty and had not yet been cleaned. We both ordered "The Old Fashion" breakfast, which was eggs, potato cubes & onions, choice of bacon or sausage, and choice of toast or biscuit. You order at the bar, then go sit at a table. We waited a good 20 minutes to get our food. Server brought us food, but we didn't have eating utensils. We asked for utensils, ketchup, and jelly for out toast. He brought us utensils. We asked again for the ketchup and jelly. He brought us the ketchup, but forgot the jelly. I asked again for the jelly, and a female server brought us one jelly and not two for my wife and I, so I asked for another one, which she finally brought us. The eggs were the only thing on our plates that was hot. The bacon was crispy, burnt, yet only room temperature. Potatoes were barely warm, and the toast wasn't warm enough to melt the butter that was slathered on it. Sorry Ant Farm, we won't be back. read more

A little gem. We stopped her twice in one weekend, on the way to and on the way back from Mt. Hood Wilderness. All their bread is made in house, and the GF bread is the best I have ever had. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and the Veggie Wrap (I had them put mine on the GF bread). My husband had the lox bagel and the veggie wrap on the homemade white bread grilled. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because I did happen to wait quite a while both times I've been here.. we came in during a rush but the owner (I apologize for not remembering your name!) noticed that immediately and accommodated us appropriately! Staff is extremely friendly and approachable and my boyfriend and I ended up chatting it up with the staff and learned a lot about the organization. I've volunteered for a few nonprofits in the past and by far - one of the coolest ones I've seen in Oregon. Breakfast bowl was yummy and a big portion. I am bummed that my to go order of a plain bagel and salmon was mishandled. What was brought out was the full order of cream cheese, onions, capers, tomato salmon topped bagel instead. I asked for it to be changed since it was not what I ordered. I could have easily taken all off that wasn't supposed to be part of it, but all of the flavors are pretty potent. The gal kindly confirmed what I had ordered and then brought back the same bagel with the cream cheese mostly scraped off, the salmon remained and remnants of the other ingredients still there. I don't like to complain nor waste food. I figured to share this so perhaps the kitchen folks can do better the next time. read more
