Anson has come to our house a few times in the last year and are always responsive, flexible, show up on time, never leave a mess and provide a fair rate. Anson helped us rewire new lights for the outdoors after my husband and I attempted to do it ourselves. Because we live in a 60-year old house, we ran into some issues we'd never seen before and Anson saved the day. They handled everything from start to finish, we just had to paint the stucco. I already had the green light from SDGE for the upgrade beforehand. That's all I did. Saved a lot of time. I called for an easy job, gave all my information including address and then they sent a quote. We accepted and come the date we had agreed upon, no one showed up. I had to make contact to ask what was going on and was told that after our address was submitted into their "system" it was "too far" . That should've been disclosed in the original discussion and I would have moved on to the next bidder. Very disappointed in the lack of courtesy and respect for a customer's time. 30 miles distance is too far for this company, so make sure you ask! read more

We found Anson Electric via Yelp when looking for an electrician to help with a backyard remodel. They quickly scheduled time to review and quote the job. While waiting for the backyard project to start, we used Anson to replace pendant light boxes with one capable of holding 30lb pendants, the crew was professional and easy to work with. We were very pleased with their attention to detail and the quality of their work. We used them again to fix can lights in our bathroom that were not centered over the sinks. Again, top quality work. Finally, we got to the backyard project and they installed the wiring as expected. We did run into one minor issue and the crew was able to remedy it immediately. If you are looking for a quality electrical company with knowledgable screws, we highly recommend Anson. Many of our interactions were with Matt and he was able to talk through what we wanted and make suggestions that work better in a couple of instances. Anson is now our go-to comapny for any and all electrical work. My experience with Anson Electric was excellent. David and Amanda were very responsive on Yelp and were able to quickly schedule an appointment to complete various projects (installing 2 light fixtures, removing 2 light fixtures, and fixing a prior electrician's botched job) at a reasonable price. The big job was fixing a prior electrician's work, who had installed a chandelier on my 20' ceiling but left half of the fixture falling off. Anson Electric had to bring a 15' ladder and took care of two tasks for me on the 20' ceiling, and my lights/ceiling look great after Anson's work! On the day of the job, Daniel was on site on time, and called me to let me know he had arrived. A second electrician was there to help too. Both guys were super professional, competent, efficient, and helpful. Anson electric sent a very young electrician to install a junction box and wiring from a wall switch for a pendant light in my kitchen. The electrician consulted his phone throughout the entire process like he was brand new to this procedure. Everything works but I have two holes in my plaster. Huge shoutout to Daniel and Matt for the work that they came in and did for me. They ran Cat 6 cable for me through the attic from one room to another and set up ethernet ports on both ends (one to connect to the router and the other to connect to my device in the other room), and they also installed a 220-volt outlet for my dryer unit. Total professionals who were very knowledgeable and talked with me about a number of options and approaches they could take to solve for me. I plan to use Anson again because of those two for an electrical panel upgrade on my home and a few other wiring clean up/re-wiring things. I contacted Anson electric again, following the install of a breaker for my electric car. A couple of my outlets ceased working and of of course I thought it was related to the original installation. As before David at Anson electric was very responsive and all we had to do was get it on the calendar at a time convenient for all. The problem was not at all related to my original installation (thats why Im not an electrician) , but in fact something completely different, and it didnt take long for Alejandro, the new tech for Anson electric to figure it out. Some of my outlets had been previously improperly installed, some didnt even have the ground wires attached. Alejandro worked on the problem without cutting corners. During a wind and rain storm, a large tree across the street fell into a power pole. My power went out. It pulled the power, cable and telephone wires out of my house or snapped them. I called Anson Electric, they were very fast to respond. They sent Charles, he diagnosed my issues and said it would take about two weeks. I had to get permits from the city of La Mesa to proceed with the work. Anson took care of the permit process for me. They completed the work yesterday. Now once it's inspected, SDG&E will reconnect my service. I feel this company went above and beyond what was expected to get me back in my home. We were immensely pleased with the service we received from Anson Electric! Their attention to detail, responsiveness, quality of work, and exceptional customer service far exceeded our expectations! I asked Anson Electric to give me a quote for installing an EV Charger for my elderly parents' home. The home is over 50 years, so I was worried about whether it could be done! Not only was Anson's estimate much lower than their competitors, but they offered me a flat rate, which seems fairer (and more affordable in the long run). What really impressed me, however, was the receptivity and knowledge of the owner, David. He asked for photos of our electrical panel so that he could accurately assess which location was best for the charger, and what parts his tech would need when installing it. He gave clear directions so I could find the specific breakers he was looking for. I was amazed by the ease of the process! Amanda also deserves kudos for being so flexible with scheduling. And I was able to do the whole thing via text, which is convenient for someone who works all day. Today, Oscar came out and installed the charger. He arrived on time, was incredibly nice, and is obviously a highly-skilled electrician. His work is just beautiful to look at, so precise and clean! And of course, the charger works perfectly, and is in just the right spot for my parents to access it easily. In short, he thought of everything. What a fantastic experience, when formerly having an electrician out meant aggravation and frustration! Oscar told me that Anson is a family-run business, and it shows. They have six technicians, so it's still small enough where the owner personally supervises each job, but they can be very responsive when there's an electrical emergency. The first electrician came out and wasn't aware of what work was being done and had to cancel since it is a two-man job.
