I needed to have my electrical panel replaced and moved and among several different quotes we went with Anson Electric. The same day of the request Matt came out and gave us an estimate. Through the whole process the communication with everyone involved, Teresa, David, Daniel, Eric was excellent. I had a zillion questions for David, which he patiently answered. The process was lengthy (mainly for all the inspections after every step by SDG&E), but we couldn't be happier with the result. I highly recommend Anson Electric for their honesty, high quality of work and their excellent communication. I'll be definitely calling you for any future electrical work. read more

Put in a new 220/50 to charge an electric vehicle in my garage. Great pricing and quick service. The entire project was scheduled fast and done so well. Charlie was FANTASTIC! Knew exactly what to do, Facetimed me to reconfirm and performed the task flawlessly. Needless to say - when electric work is needed again, Anson is my first call! read more

Nick was super helpful and on time. Good at explaining things and went above and beyond to install a Tesla wall charger for me. He did it pretty fast! Great customer service from him read more

Matt was on time and polite and professional. Was able to troubleshoot the wonky panel left by the last owner and then switch out my 220v outlet to a 110v promptly. Recommend highly and will use again. read more

Called Anson Electric and they were able to give me quote to move an outlet with supplied pictures. Anson Electric was able to send a technician out in 1.5 days. Aaron was technician that showed up. He was great. He took a look at the situation. Realizing it was a little different than he initially thought he regrouped and got it done. No extra holes, no extra charges, clean , and courteous . I appreciate Anson Electric work. I recommend them for your next project. read more

These guys were on time, extremely knowledgeable, and very profesional. I will use them for all of my future electrical needs

I can't say enough great things about Anson Electric or recommend them enough. Anson has come to our house a few times in the last year and are always responsive, flexible, show up on time, never leave a mess and provide a fair rate. Anson helped us rewire new lights for the outdoors after my husband and I attempted to do it ourselves. Because we live in a 60-year old house, we ran into some issues we'd never seen before and Anson saved the day. They then came out to move a 220 outlet in our garage and reconfigure a few items so we could charge the electric vehicle without anything being in the charger's way and to make it easily accessible. What I appreciate is that they walked us through what they did, gave us some tips on how to troubleshoot things in the future and to do simple things ourselves. read more

Anson was very helpful and flexible and kept in constant contact while the work was ongoing. I experienced minimal disruptions in my home while they worked on it, and they took my little adjustments in stride. Very professional, very on top of things. Would hire again. read more

David was so helpful - asked me questions about the electrical panels and fuses - and what work was needed. Their office followed up and Matt came out on short notice and also was terrific. Five stars for service, value and responsiveness! read more

Daniel was great. He was able to hang up my chandelier without any issues, and the rate was very reasonable compared to the other companies who I reached out to. Daniel was very personable and professional, and I would definitely use Anson Electric again. read more

Daniel and his partner came on time, were very polite, and did a terrific job! At my request, he reviewed my place to let me know whether I was in compliance with recent laws, and then he fixed everything to bring me up to date! Excellent knowledge and service--definitely hire again! read more

Good quality and value. Friendly and knowledgeable worker. Service requested was fully meet.

Changed the appointment time and didn't notify me. Then they to turn it around like it was my fault, then were condescending acting like I should wait around a week or more. HORRIBLE customer relations. After taking time off from work to be home, din't waste your time. read more

Very quick and professional work, Team came in and did a great job and kept me informed every step of the way. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone read more

I enjoyed working with Anson through the whole process from requesting quotes to the work being done. They were great through and through. Getting the quote was awesome - we coordinated through Yelp and they showed up on time. In reviewing our project, they were thoughtful, thorough, and explained clearly any potential issues or challenges. The actual work was excellent. My tech Jeremey was great. He was communicative and responsive. Kept me informed throughout the project and was careful to check for my preference when things weren't clear. The work was clean and they cleaned up well afterwards. Overall a great value, we came in under the estimate since they quoted a few things they thought might be issues but turned out not to be (really glad about this, even though their quote was consistent with a few other vendors). Definitely will call Anson for future electrical projects! read more

We had a great experience with Anson! We had an EV charger put in, it all went smoothly and was reasonably priced. read more

Had a main panel upgrade done with Anson. Communication and planning was done in a timely manner. Cost was very good considering other quotes we received. They handled everything from start to finish, we just had to paint the stucco. I already had the green light from SDGE for the upgrade beforehand. That's all I did. Saved a lot of time. That took 6-8 weeks, so I suggest doing that first. read more

Charles came out today! He was very efficient and hardworking no nonsense guy. No sales pitch or anything, just straight work. I really liked him a lot! read more

Very happy with Anson Electric. They were prompt with getting back to me with an estimate. The techs were on time and fast and did a great job. Would recommend. read more

I called for an easy job, gave all my information including address and then they sent a quote. We accepted and come the date we had agreed upon, no one showed up. I had to make contact to ask what was going on and was told that after our address was submitted into their "system" it was "too far" . That should've been disclosed in the original discussion and I would have moved on to the next bidder. Very disappointed in the lack of courtesy and respect for a customer's time. 30 miles distance is too far for this company, so make sure you ask! read more

Didn't actually use Anson Electrical but David was very helpful in resolving what I needed to do!

The job was tougher than expected but the electricians that showed up did a great job. They were persistent and professional. Great price for the work that was done. Would have given 5 stars but a few scheduling issues held back that last star. Luckily, I was working from home, so the changes did not impact me as much as they would have had I taken time off of work to be here when they were supposed to show up. read more

We found Anson Electric via Yelp when looking for an electrician to help with a backyard remodel. They quickly scheduled time to review and quote the job. While waiting for the backyard project to start, we used Anson to replace pendant light boxes with one capable of holding 30lb pendants, the crew was professional and easy to work with. We were very pleased with their attention to detail and the quality of their work. We used them again to fix can lights in our bathroom that were not centered over the sinks. Again, top quality work. Finally, we got to the backyard project and they installed the wiring as expected. We did run into one minor issue and the crew was able to remedy it immediately. If you are looking for a quality electrical company with knowledgable screws, we highly recommend Anson. Many of our interactions were with Matt and he was able to talk through what we wanted and make suggestions that work better in a couple of instances. Anson is now our go-to comapny for any and all electrical work. Final note, while they may not always be the lowest price, they are definitely reasonably priced and the quality of their work is well worth the cost. read more

Anson did a great job at repairing and replacing two outdoor flood lights at my home. Great communication with David and Matt. They provided a competitive quote, arrived on time, completed the requested tasks in under two hours and they were professional and friendly. I would highly recommend using Anson for electrical work as they perform quality work. read more

Anson electric sent a very young electrician to install a junction box and wiring from a wall switch for a pendant light in my kitchen. The electrician consulted his phone throughout the entire process like he was brand new to this procedure. Everything works but I have two holes in my plaster. Edit to make clearer: Alonso wasn't talking in the phone. It seemed more like he was checking what to do. Verifying his course of action. The last electrician we had who is now retired repaired our plaster as well. read more

They did a great job installing our ceiling fan and were very efficient. Cost was reasonable. Overall, I recommend them.

My experience with Anson Electric was excellent. David and Amanda were very responsive on Yelp and were able to quickly schedule an appointment to complete various projects (installing 2 light fixtures, removing 2 light fixtures, and fixing a prior electrician's botched job) at a reasonable price. The big job was fixing a prior electrician's work, who had installed a chandelier on my 20' ceiling but left half of the fixture falling off. Anson Electric had to bring a 15' ladder and took care of two tasks for me on the 20' ceiling, and my lights/ceiling look great after Anson's work! On the day of the job, Daniel was on site on time, and called me to let me know he had arrived. A second electrician was there to help too. Both guys were super professional, competent, efficient, and helpful. Everyone I spoke with at Anson was wonderful all-around, and I will most definitely call these guys again for future electrical-related services. read more

Used Anson Electric for the 4th time and talked with Teresa in regards to installing ceiling fans in our gazebo from Costco. Had the pleasure of having Joel again and we brainstormed on the best possible method for mounting ceiling fans and where the electrical source should come from. Joel went above and beyond to ensure customer expectations were met and exceeded. He strived to do a clean job and ensure we were satisfied. I've received many compliments from family and friends about his work that was done. Pictures say it all (see attached). read more

Huge shoutout to Daniel and Matt for the work that they came in and did for me. They ran Cat 6 cable for me through the attic from one room to another and set up ethernet ports on both ends (one to connect to the router and the other to connect to my device in the other room), and they also installed a 220-volt outlet for my dryer unit. Total professionals who were very knowledgeable and talked with me about a number of options and approaches they could take to solve for me. I plan to use Anson again because of those two for an electrical panel upgrade on my home and a few other wiring clean up/re-wiring things. Money well spent - great employees - great communication with Teresa while scheduling everything. Can't recommend this company enough! I'd give 6 out of 5 stars if I could. read more

I appreciate David taking the time to quickly respond to my review. I contacted Anson electric again, following the install of a breaker for my electric car. A couple of my outlets ceased working and of of course I thought it was related to the original installation. As before David at Anson electric was very responsive and all we had to do was get it on the calendar at a time convenient for all. The problem was not at all related to my original installation (thats why Im not an electrician) , but in fact something completely different, and it didnt take long for Alejandro, the new tech for Anson electric to figure it out. Some of my outlets had been previously improperly installed, some didnt even have the ground wires attached. Alejandro worked on the problem without cutting corners. He had good knowledge and great customer educating skills. Again Im very happy with their work and their staff. read more

Anson Electric receives a well deserved 5 stars overall on Yelp. My project involved running wires, creating conduit pathways and installing (4) electrical outlets for my outdoor kitchen. I was really impressed by Daniel who asked a lot of clarifying questions throughout the project to ensure the proper scope of work was captured. I've worked with several subcontractors who've made assumptions causing unnecessary work delays and rework. This wasn't the case with Anson Electric and Daniel - I was super impressed. Finally, very professional demeanor throughout the project; estimator, front office and Daniel. I will be using them again on future projects. read more

During a wind and rain storm, a large tree across the street fell into a power pole. My power went out. It pulled the power, cable and telephone wires out of my house or snapped them. I called Anson Electric, they were very fast to respond. They sent Charles, he diagnosed my issues and said it would take about two weeks. I had to get permits from the city of La Mesa to proceed with the work. Anson took care of the permit process for me. They completed the work yesterday. Now once it's inspected, SDG&E will reconnect my service. I feel this company went above and beyond what was expected to get me back in my home. I am so grateful that instead of two or more weeks, it will be short of one week. Marsha Kantor read more

Matt came out for the initial estimate and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions. Daniel and Eric came out later on to do the work needed. They did an excellent job of diagnosing the root issue of my gate lights not working and an even better job at fixing the problem while making it even more weather-resistant, safer, up to modern code, and extensible (ie. they added outlets for me to run Christmas or Halloween lights off of if I ever needed to). read more

We were immensely pleased with the service we received from Anson Electric! Their attention to detail, responsiveness, quality of work, and exceptional customer service far exceeded our expectations! I asked Anson Electric to give me a quote for installing an EV Charger for my elderly parents' home. The home is over 50 years, so I was worried about whether it could be done! Not only was Anson's estimate much lower than their competitors, but they offered me a flat rate, which seems fairer (and more affordable in the long run). What really impressed me, however, was the receptivity and knowledge of the owner, David. He asked for photos of our electrical panel so that he could accurately assess which location was best for the charger, and what parts his tech would need when installing it. He gave clear directions so I could find the specific breakers he was looking for. I was amazed by the ease of the process! Amanda also deserves kudos for being so flexible with scheduling. And I was able to do the whole thing via text, which is convenient for someone who works all day. Today, Oscar came out and installed the charger. He arrived on time, was incredibly nice, and is obviously a highly-skilled electrician. His work is just beautiful to look at, so precise and clean! And of course, the charger works perfectly, and is in just the right spot for my parents to access it easily. In short, he thought of everything. What a fantastic experience, when formerly having an electrician out meant aggravation and frustration! Oscar told me that Anson is a family-run business, and it shows. They have six technicians, so it's still small enough where the owner personally supervises each job, but they can be very responsive when there's an electrical emergency. In short, I am super impressed with Anson Electric. From start to finish, they did an amazing job, and we could not have had a better customer experience. My whole family will be using them from now on for all of our electrical needs! TL;DR: Anson Electric did an amazing job and you should hire them! read more
